The Y7 & Y8 5K charity run is under way around the school field. We're raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The medals are here ready for the Christmas 5K Sponsored Fieldrun this Friday. We’re very excited!
All Y7 & Y8 students need to arrive at the academy wearing the clothes that they are planning to walk/run in. They need to bring extra layers (including Christmas jumpers, Santa hats etc.) if they are planning to walk a lot of the distance. The field may be muddy so please ensure they are wearing sensible footwear.
Thank you for all the sponsorship that has been collected so far. All money raised will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust.

Summer 2018 examination certificates are now available at Main Reception for collection.
We still have a number of certificates from previous years that remain uncollected. If you have not collected your certificates from approx 2009-2016, please contact us before the 21st of December. Uncollected certificates will be destroyed after this date.

An excellent turnout for our Sixth Form Open Evening.

Y7 & Y8 students have now been given a letter and sponsor form for our academy Christmas 5K Fieldrun on Friday 14th December. This is a great opportunity for us to promote healthy lifestyles with our students and raise money for our chosen charity, Teenage Cancer Trust.

In April 2019, Mrs Haines, Mr Vincent, Mr Mwansa and Mr Khan will be running the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. We are determined to raise at least £8000 with the help of staff, students and families.

David Dein, former chairman of Arsenal FC and The FA came in to talk to students about his career in football and gave them some motivational and practical advice for their future.

Lest we forget

We expect the PGL Trip to arrive back to school for 3pm. Please consider parking near to the academy as the coaches will need adequate access to the car park. This will assist us to safely unload students and their luggage.

Fieldrun has now finished until the spring. Thank you for everyone’s support in making it such a success. There will be other running events/clubs that students can get involved in. More information to follow over the next few weeks.
