Pony mornings/Days
Saturday, Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday. From 10am riders from 4 years + tack up horses and ponies before a half hour lesson in the arena followed by a half hour ride round Llynclys nature reserve 2km route Riders are put into groups (lead rein group, Off lead rein trotting group, Cantering group)... Morning session ends at 12.30 only £26 Full day 10am - 4pm with 2 hours of riding only £44
Thursday We have Fun day for 7 years + from 10am - 4pm this includes games in the arena all day with rosettes to be won, Only £44

Video from January when there was only grey skys, rain and everything was so bleak. Yvonne came along with her friend Lorna who had not been on horse back for over 30 years, Her first lesson she did some pole work and got her basics back for canter , they both went for a 30 minute lesson followed by a 30 minute ride out which gave them a couple of canters round Llynclys nature reserve

Last session for Derwen college today , some students wont be back next term and will be missed by the Penycoed team. Penycoed is proud to support the students with all different types of disabilities progress in the sport of horse riding and the benifits that come with it for each student #derwencollege 😊🐎⛰

Penycoed Summer Holidays Time-table

12.30am is lunch time in the nose bag cafe with hot food and drinks provided £4 per child
1pm pony afternoon starts with children helping with yard duties, Rides out and lessons , 1 hour riding is also included. 4pm finish, Only £44 for the whole day

Penycoed Is looking for a 13h - 16h ponies and horses to join the team, Temperament is key and the horse must be suitable for novices with no vices in the school or out hacking , age must be from 6 years - 20 years. Took my daughter to pony club this morning she had a few rides but never been taught how to control the horse � George was amazing with her and got her confident up within minutes x

Penycoed riding centre is absolutely fantastic! Fab staff and lessons delivered to a high standard by approachable and professional instructors. Would most defiantly recommend to friends and family who want to take up lessons or who just want to go for a nice hack on some brilliant horses.

Penycoed give lessons to both adults and children and have fab customer service. Cant wait to come back again!

Penycoed is an absolutely fantastic place... comes highly recommended by the whole family! I took my newphew for a riding lesson here today after me and my younger brother have been! Sam went from a complete novice and a little nervous to walking and trotting with help and encouragement from george and jim... looking forward to coming again next saturday and watching him learn and improve more and more thankyou both once again �

Our whole family's favourite get away including the dogs. Lovely family run business in beautiful calm surroundings. We've been back several years in a row now and are made to feel very welcome every time. They are so friendly and accommodating. This place is my idea of heaven. Considering we do not get to ride where we live and only ride here for a week a year, the kids riding has improved immensely. Capable of cantering on their own in school and on hacks, even have them jumping. All ponies and horses are perfectly behaved and the teaching is 2nd to none. Every time we go we manage to find another local walk literally on our door step in the nature reserve, even the dogs absolutely love it here. Thank you for making our holiday so fab. See you again soon. �

Only been up there for the day on a first aid course the staff are so friendly and the centre is amazing well impress thankyou

My first lesson as a 30 something was brilliant- great instructors and beautiful and well looked after horses . Cannot recommend enough !!!

Loved doing the adult morning today. Great for a novice like me wanting to get more hands on experience with horses. Staff and horses are all fab. In beautiful countryside too

Just got back from a group hack through the woods and tracks,the horses are fantastic and well cared for(iv fallen in love with poppy!)Staff are lovely and helpful,will definitely return �

Highly recommend this fabulous place. Great facilities, a wide range of horses to cater for all ages/abilities. George has helped my daughter no end to develop both her riding and confidence. Thank you
