Swimming Pool update:
Unfortunately both pools will remain closed for the remainder of the day, meaning swimming lessons, family swims, aqua and swim club are all cancelled for the day.
Our contractors have procured the part to rectify the issue but they are unable to install until this evening or tomorrow Morning at the latest.
... We will endevour to update you all throughout the day on social media and the website.
If any swimmers were wishing to swim today and are still looking to exercise then we would like to offer you a free guest pass to the fitness suite. Simply visit the centre today to activate this pass.

Staff are really friendly and am really enjoying the classes I have attended on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning.

Recently joined & have found the place & staff fabulous!!! The grit classes are the best you will find anywhere in Worcester with the best most motivational instructor, Jamie Hyde! I have also found all the other classes brilliant too with very experienced instructors, I would fully recommend.

Love this place, the facilities are excellent and the staff are all so helpful, i would highly recommend

Love love love this gym.....staff very friendly and helpful....have recently gone back after a few months off. Tim is great as a personal trainer and all other staff are always willing to answer any questions you may have. Not tred any classes as not my sort of thing. But the gym I can not rate highly enough. Ref swimming....pool itself lovely....changing area... floor can be very slippery....better non slip surface could of been used but that's the only criticism I have. Keep it up guys you're doing great ......

I’ve been coming using the leisure centre for a month now and found it brilliant, helpful staff, well organised and very family orientated, my daughter loves the swimming lessons and can’t wait to come every week, clean changing rooms, support instructors and great parking, Thanks Perdiswell!

I've recently joined perdiswell after being a member at various other gyms in Worcester over the last 3 years. All of the staff have been excellent and the classes especially the Les Mills Grit and Body Pump are first rate

I have been a member here for a couple of months and after trying a few others this is by far the best. Facilities equipment and trainers, even better now they have introduced the Grit classes.

Had a fantastic time at Spike Island on Friday night... staff were fantastic from start to finish, my son really enjoyed it and so did I!! Will be booking for his birthday party!!

Great centre and fantastic staff, they have made me feel so welcome and that i can achieve my goal. Very happy. Just wish the pool was warmer for my daughter swimming lesson.

Every time I have visited the center the assistants have been very helpful and friendly, great place to go to for any health reason.

I really like using the Leisure Centre and the staff have always been pleasant as far as I'm concerned. However, I have to agree with Sonja that the cleaning needs to be carried out to a much higher standard. The floor in the wet and dry areas in the swimming pool changing rooms and showers have been particularly dirty recently with hair and general dirt. Several empty shampoo bottles etc. left by customers too lazy to bin them hadn't been collected by the staff on my last visit, indicating that cleaning hadn't been carried out for some time. The floor tiles are slippery at the best of times, but this is made much worse if the floor isn't regularly dried off. There was also a strong smell of urine in the changing cubicles closest to the toilets. Hopefully, this is a temporary blip as cleaning should be a priority.

Hiya Perdiswell. I use the Disabilty Session on a Satruday 4.30-5.30. We have not been able to go for 3weeks as the Pod Chair Hoist/lift into the pool has been broken.

I was at Naidex at the NEC last Thursday & the Pod Chairs Company were there, they said it takes 2-3 days to repair any issues with Pod Chair Hoist/lifts. So why has it taken Perdiswell 3 weeks to repair this equipment?

Every time we do go the Disabled Changing Room the room with the changing bed it is always covered in talcum powder. It is not a Baby Changing Room. This week the toilet was disgusting dirty. The bin is too small to put adult incontinance pads into and many a time it is full to the brim. The removable floor is brilliant as is the Pod Chairs & Hoists/lifts when working. We enjoy our session. But not in a Dirty Changing Room.

This is not good enough. Please put a bigger bin and keep the Disabled Changing Room Clean.

Usually really good with lane swimming however today I have drove from Malvern to swim as the website clearly states 3lanes. Get there and one is hired out for charity ( fair enough) two have swimming lessons in so there is only one lane!! You need to update your website to highlight swimming lessons are going on!! Ended up getting changed and showered as the receptionist didn't even tell me. When I asked for my money back I didn't even get a sorry!!!

Arrived at just before three, staff were helpful and managed to get into the changing rooms without any problems. Changing rooms were relatively clean. The main thing I would change is the toilets, you can actually smell urine from the toilets from the small pool. Disgusting. Is nobody cleaning this place? Even after a massive refurb things are already starting to look neglected. Showers were dirty which was a massive shame. No soap? How much would soap cost with the current membership costs! Also, I now have completely soaked shorts... A spin dryer wouldn't cost too much but would make a huge difference. To summarise, clean the place up!

Unfortunately... I can't give them lower than 1 star as Facebook won't let me. This is one of the worst gyms/fitness centres/health clubs I have ever been to. Myself and my partner joined and also signed our son up for swimming lessons. The reception staff are miserable and unhelpful. They didn't even ask me why I wanted to leave and don't make eye contact when they are talking to you. It feels as if you are just wasting their time. The swimming lessons really could be run by anybody. Just drag the kids around the pool for a bit, make then hold on to the side, and make the reach out for floating balls, and there you go... £21 a month please. And the pool is almost always closed. There's always a gala stopping you from swimming, if you have have young children like us and want to go during school hours you can't because both pools are closed for the schools to use. The if you go in the evening the small pool is full of school kids anyway. The gym is so busy and uncontrolled that u less you can go between 10 and 2 the place is overrun. The changing rooms are as basic as they could be. For some reason women deserve more privacy than men? And they obviously don't care when people leave as when I went in to cancel they didn't even ask why. The staff don't care and they simply do not listen to anything that members have to say. Shocking for such a new facility. Membership cancelled for the whole family and will not be returning.

I'm really not one to moan or leave bad reviews however, on this occasion, I can't take it here anymore! Some things need to change so I thought I'd make my point.



The reception staff are miserable, the classes are constantly full and no more are being organised, the place is filthy, the studio floors are covered in hair and dead skin, the equipment is never cleaned, the "booking system" is appalling, I wouldn't dream of showering or swimming here as it's so dirty and to top it off, I have to say up til midnight 10 days before the class I want to book into, just so I can book a space. I can go on but you get the point.



I've been going to this gym for 4 years to do pilates (which is excellent) however I'm sad to say the issues above have caused me to leave. I just cancelled my direct debit and won't be coming back until something fundamental changes!
