Hi, My name is Sandra Louise Jones. Ever since I was a little girl I have had a talent for dressmaking, and drawing my own designs. Although after leaving school and taking a clerical path, I still used my creative talents over the years.
I designed and made my own wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, at the age of 18. My skills also came in handy for my sister's wedding a few years later.
In april 2011 was my own daughters wedding, and although she didn't want me to take too much on, I did help out with her bridesmaid dresses. I also made her a 4 tier wedding cake, mini wedding cakes to match and a selection of cupcakes, But it was the need for a hooped petticoat that prompted me to set to and make one for her. It was a double hooped petticoat trimmed with lace and blue bows (for her something blue) she said it was so comfortable, and hardly noticed she was wearing it. I was even offered a position with a local seamstress when she saw my petticoat. That's when the seed was sewn for Petticoat's Galore.
The idea being to give a personal service to brides who require a hooped petticoat (or without hoops) On an option to HIRE or BUY at competitive rates. My services will include Veils custom made or buy from stock. Flower Girl Dresses and Holy Communion Dresses. Head Accessories and Bridal Waistbands. Celebration Cakes made to order at affordable prices.

I have been putting this off for some time now. I think it’s time to let go and I’m finding it hard to do. I’ve closed my dressmaking business down sadly 😢 I’ve enjoyed the last 8 years (4 on Facebook) doing things I love and getting paid for it, and Ive met some lovely brides and clients many of whom I have kept in touch with on Facebook. I would like to thank Sally Jamieson for sending me these beautiful images taken in Cuba last year. I made her the two tier veil and the hooped petticoat she is wearing, she looks absolutely stunning. With only 2 weeks notice Sandra was able to make my daughter's prom dress. She came up with several designs based on my daughter's original idea. We had several fittings and Sandra made sure we went away happy each time. The result was exactly what my daughter wanted. I would highly recommend Sandra.

Sandra made our wedding cake for our wedding on 14th May 2016. The cake was stunning and so full of flavor. We went for a fruit, a lemon and a red velvet tier every single tier was absolutely gorgeous and moist. The red velvet cupcakes where also amazing. Sandra made my petticoat for my wedding dress! Being 5'11" and plus size it was really hard to find a petticoat long enough and she sorted it for me and didn't charge me the earth. Sandra is lovely and responds as quickly as she can. Can't recommend her enough:)

After shopping for weeks and looking on line I couldn't find the ball-gown I was looking for. As a plus size it's difficult to find a dress that's both elegant and flattering. That's when I decided to have a dress made. I found petticoats galore web site and gave Sandra a ring. I explained what I was looking for and Sandra got to work. Our birthdays are 2 days apart so I asked Sandra to make a chocolate cake. The cake she presented, looked and tasted delicious. The cake was in the shape of a book, my husband,a keen sailor,at one side in a boat, and me in a pilates exercise. It was

I have just had a cake made for my two year old grandson , it was a jungle scene, it was absolutely beautiful, the decoration was just how i wanted it, and the cake tasted delicious,it was made to an exceptionaly high standard and will be ordering another one for my grandaughter

I was really impressed with the help I received from Sandra as I only had 2 weeks before my wedding to get my petticoat for under my dress sorted out. She was extremely helpful and nothing was too much for her.

Sandra has made me a full circle dress for my 50th Birthday party in January. 1962/60's is the theme. I visited Sandra a number of times for fittings. She was always polite, listened to what I wanted/liked/disliked etc. Sandra made some wonderful suggestions, I now have a stunning bespoke dress. Beautifully made.
