User

My two boys now 23 and 24 went on many PGL holidays and they loved it always came back dirty and tired but hey they had fun I recommend this to all parents

User

My son and his friend came for a week at Marchants Hill during February half term and had an absolute blast. Really well organised, a brilliant schedule of activities and entertainment for them with the main focus on safety. This was my son's 3rd trip having now been on a school trip & a family trip in the past, he'll definitely be back :)

User

My son always has a mega time and never wants to come home .this year will be his 4th year of coming.what excellent services you provide well done pgl Caythorpe

User

My boys loved it at pgl liddington. They can't wait to go again!

User

My 9yr old daughter has been twice and is already planning this years adventure.

User

My 9 year old Jack, has just returned from a week at Caythorpe. We have used PGL before for my teenagers. It never fails to impress me. Jack had a fantastic time and is shattered which takes some doing! The staff are amazing, polite and enthusiastic. The children are well cared for at all times. Jack made some great friends and apparently has organised to meet them here next year!

User

My 10yo daughter loves PGL. She's been 6 times now, starting with the Brownies, then with a friend and this year she asked to go alone! She's become so confident. I have her 3rd visit for this year booked for next week :)

User

My 10 year old loved PGL at Winmarleigh Hall, didnt want to come home lol

User

Just got back from a amazing weekend with the cub scouts. My first pgl and definitely not my last. Shout out to Liam, Pixie and Jake you guys are amazing and the rest of the team was fabulous

User

Every child should do this... It's fantastic for their self confidence and independence. Both my children have gone for last four years. My son is now 16 and hopefully we can book him in again next year just before he turns 17 ;)

User

Brilliant company. Just took our Scouts to Paris and they had the time of their lives.

User

Both my children loved PGL at Osmington Bay and it's a great facility to have when you are full time working parents. I personally can't fault them and think it's a great thing for kids to do. It boosts their confidence, independence and allows them to try things the haven't done before.

User

My kids had a great time. Loved the food and the staff. The only issues they had were: No lamps in room so it was pitch black at night as they weren't allowed main light on. My 7 yr old was scared. I would have sent them with a torch or little light had I known. Second issue was with behaviour of other children keeping them awake at night and a couple of kids misbehaving in the day time, I.e being physical and using bad language excessively. However, these issues were generally sorted as soon as they arose.

User

My 13 year old said it was ok. Food choice wasn’t good same most nights. Room were clean functional and had two bunks in and a window that opened it got hot!

Activities were ok quad bikes he said just went round and round. Alot of sitting around waiting about.

Possibly go again if cheap enough.

User

It was ok i found some of the activitys hard though.

We’ve been sending our daughters to PGL for the last 15yrs without incident. They have all thoroughly enjoyed their time at camp and indeed one of them worked as a group leader for PGL during her gap year. So it’s almost with a heavy heart that I have to describe the truly awful week our youngest has just endured at Caythorpe.

Having attended 9 previous week long camps and loved every moment she asked to join the 10 to 13 age group for her first visit to Caythorpe. Picking her up this morning I noticed her total lack of enthusiasm for her visit, it was only on the journey home that she started crying and said she had endured a week of bullying. This happened under the noses of her group leaders who took little if any action to stop this behaviour. She did raise this with her instructor who failed to follow set protocol, having a daughter who has worked for them I’m well aware of what action should have been and wasn’t taken. My wife contacted the centre and the manager admitted that they neglected to contact us and appraise us of the situation, we could have then chosen to remove her thus sparing her further torment. Her whole week was a misery, Caythorpe you should be truly ashamed at your incompetence

Whilst I can’t say all the staff at this centre are negligent I can certainly say that about those that were responsible for her during her stay. They failed totally in their duty of care and shouldn’t have any responsibility for the welfare of children. I would never send a child to this centre again

This is the worst place I've been to the staff are lazy!!!!!!!!! Rude isn't the half of it! They fail to help you with anything it is passed on to someone else! My rental broke down I had no cash on me just card my son was starving as lunch was cold eggs hash browns and pork yuck ! When the tow truck came no one informed me and he was waiting for awhile! Then I spoke to Matt one of the managers tryin to explain my situation and that my son is hungry is there any thing he could have to eat his reply was "didn't you have lunch !" Mind you I've just told him that I have only card I can't get a taxi so I can feed him I said your staff didn't even offer a sandwich for a child! How wicked and I know stress was showing on my face while this is going on the staff are just sitting around laughing at the fact I'm upset and my son is hungry! So! With that said this place gets not half a star but - definitely!

User

My son was sent home with no verbal warnings for two separate silly behaviours. They kept him in an office for the four hours it takes for me to drive to collect him. The silly behaviours were one swear word and being silly at bedtime being naked dancing around the room. Whilst I understand this is unacceptable. Why were no verbal warnings or explanations given? He only recieved red card and phone call at 3pm the next day and son made to wait in an office for four hours for collection? He had not been unsafe or unruly during activities and was allowed to do them in the morning but not after the phone call to me? The policies are ridiculous, i thought this was supposed to be catered for 10 year old boys? His first holiday and first time away from home and they cant manage silly behaviours. He has never been mean to anyone or unsafe he has been stupid and I aggree should be warned, two complelty unrelated incidences in a week and thats it. I am appalled.
