We send both of our children for swimming lessons here. The swimming teachers are great with the children, especially our son who screams and cries about not having a parent in the water with him, his teacher Shona is so patient and helps calm him each and every week.

I would recommend the swim teaching team to anyone.

We have also had a swimming party here and all the children loved it. So much so a few of the friends attending have now had parties there.

I agree with a few of the comments about the changing rooms being a bit unclean at times, but I think this has improved recently.

So much fun my son loves the play pool and the outdoor bit!!! He would quite happily go out their in the snow crazy kid but lovely morning here and we plan to come back =) would be great if you could add a slide he'd love that I know there's a small slide for the baby pool but also medium one for play pool would be a fantastic addition thanks for the fun we will be back x

Since starting at Pingles back in December I have lost 47lbs/ 21.3kg to date.

I owe my over 3st weight loss to the staff and facilities at Pingles Leisure Centre.

Trainers have kept me on track and helped me to achieve my goal weight!

I am so much healthier, happier and confident.

I am so proud of how far I have come in such a short period of time.

If you are looking to lose weight, gain fitness or just to keep healthy this is definitely the place for you. There is something to suit everyone. I now attend a group PT session lead by Sam Franks- if you're now in my position where you've dropped some weight but want to tone up, I highly recommend this class.

Trainers and clients are so friendly - this really helped as I was really self conscious prior to starting.

Joining Pingles has completely changed my life and helped massively with my mental health.

The results speak for themselves.

All you have to do is start

Love the classes and the awesome instructors and I attend daily for various classes. However certain improvements need to be made.

*Most of the spin bikes do not work properly and need calibrating. Pedal straps keep coming loose

*Changing rooms are smelly and not stocked regularly with toilet rolls

*Not enough black resistant bands, only two remain

*Group exercise studio roof leaks and we get rained on during classes

*Group exercise studio always dirty and not cleaned properly especially after parties at the weekends (we members often have to clean up ourselves as cannot find a member of staff to do so)

*A table been left in group exercise studio on Wednesday's and have to find a member of staff to remove it so we can do Body Attack

*Group exercise studio floor patched up in places

*Some of the weight bars are rusty and clips loose after putting the weights on

*Group exercise studio speakers often do not work properly neither does the stereo which has resulted in us exercising without music at times

My 5 star rating is for the enjoyment I get from attending classes and the awesome instructors.

Come on Everyone Active get your act together or you will be losing members elsewhere and our local lesuire centre will look like a ghost town and that would be a shame for the community and all of us who love working out there and do not want to go anywhere else

Hiya, I just wanted to pass on a big thank you to Gary who teaches my son Lucas (stage 2 @ 4.30 Thursdays). Lucas' confidence really dropped when he moved to stage 2 at a different leisure centre due to his very inconsistent swim teacher. He went from a confident little boy who flew through stage 1 (fab teacher) to losing that confidence and being the weakest in the class. When she was there I felt like Lucas was an inconvenience to her . He then started in reception at school to add to him being emotional.

Gary is so patient with Lucas every week even when he gets abit upset and I know this will bring that confidence back. He's not the best at listening and attention as it is but Gary is so good with him and gets him smiling again which is really what he needs. Sorry about the essay! Swim lesson change over is a busy time so I just wanted to let him know how grateful I am! Thank you, Laura Hornby x

Hello can I just say a big thank you to the few members of staff that stayed with me and my daughter when she fell out side and cut all her head.(myah) ad stopped with us till the ambulance got there and rang them again for us to see where they was.thank you for your help and myah is on the mend after a few stitches bless her.😃

User

For the attention of the general manager. I've been a member of the Pingles for a couple of years now and attend various classes and complete 15 to 20 classes a week. Yes I'm a gymaholic lol. I love the friendships I've made there and the awesome instructors who push us to become fitter an healthier people. However I must point out some downsides to this. 1. Equipment in this facility is dated and faulty. The exercise cycles are not calibrated correctly and some do not display properly or at all and I know this hasn't been attended to as I've been doing spin classes for quite sometime now. 2. Weight equipment is old and some bars are rusting. 3. Exercise mats need replacing. 4. Exercise tubes not enough black ones. 5. The stereo in the group class room should be thrown on the scrapheap. Instructors have had no end of trouble with it not working properly through the speakers or at all. 6. The floor in the group class room is in a terrible state and has been 'repaired' in several places oh and is often dirty. 7. The air con is bloody rubbish. Again this has been the case for sometime. In fact last Thursday it hadn't even been switched on which could result in serious health and safety issues. 8. The roof leaks in certain areas when it rains. I will continue to come to the Pingles as I have the most amazing friends there but I'm just stating facts and voicing the opinions of a lot of people who attend the classes. There are a few gym's in and around the Nuneaton area now and I fear if standards do not improve then people may choose to take their hard earned cash elsewhere.

Yours faithfully

Joseph R Richardson

PS the 5 star review is for the people and instructors if you were wondering.

Can't fault the venue or facilities!...excellent classes/instructors!...showers can be a bit hit and miss, but what's not to like!👍🏻

User

I visit for Yogalates but have previously attended for Body Attack. Having recently been diagnosed with degenerative osteoarthritis I messaged the centre to see if Yogalates would be an appropriate thing for me to do. A gentleman promptly got back to me with very good advice. The lady who runs the class is extremely helpful and encouraging and was happy to give me advice and help. I am very impressed.

I have given 4 stars only because it is very difficult to book on sometimes. There can be a waiting list of up to 15 people at times and this would surely warrant another class.

User

I go to aqua fit 12 noon Mon or wed, both? Great bunch of ladies 1or 2 men sometimes. Good workout for any age fun and good company. Wish more would stop for a coffee and chat.x

User

Great enough to offer a free trial, awesome I thought. Let the lad take my details, then heads up stairs to the changing room. Yet no one tells me on my first visit I need an old pound coin for the lockers. Goes back to reception but they don’t have old pound coins so I have to buy a trolley dolly. Was a little vexed at this point. Even more so than when I wasn’t told I needed my new card to access the gym. Mannnnn now I know I was on a freebie but a gym enthusiast like me wants to try a gym before he commits so why not tell me everything I need to know at sign up and reception?! Now this is a good place, gyms good for a beginner, the pools are awesome and it’s really clean so fair play. 3 stars but I won’t be buying a membership. Sorry

Ps to the dumb ass complaining about the weights being old??! They still weigh the same as new ones!!!!

User

Just taken my 1 & 3 year old today, having not been for a couple of months and have to say it was so dirty it was disgusting. I know it's the school holidays and obviously very busy which makes it worse, but all the tiles in the pool and changing facilities were filthy and obviously never get properly cleaned. I tried two separate changing rooms as the changing tables were so grotty I didn't want to put my baby or towel on there. Will defiantly be complaining, hopefully if enough people do they will take action, as it's a brilliant pool for children, with the baby area and outside pool. Would hate to have to stop going as my son loves it.

User

Why is this swimming baths always so horrible! It doesn't matter when you go, the changing rooms are unclean, smell like urine and there's never anybody available to clean. There is a breeze flowing from the main pool through the shower area and towards the baby pool making it a very unenjoyable experience for all who enter. I haven't spoken to anybody who enjoys going to the Pingles but they go so that their children can learn to swim. You can't fault the teachers as they are always brilliant, I just don't understand why the management can't fix the general temperature and cleanliness of the changing facilities and pool. It has the potential to be amazing, but the people in charge are obviously more interested in budgets than the public the baths were built for.

User

Well done on spending £50k on turning 4 netball/tennis courts into 3 and putting the now immovable netball posts between the fence and the tennis baseline. Pure comedy. Hope you're covered legally for all the injuries that will result.

User

We took our baby on Sunday as we have many times before, but the pool was so cold that even we could barely stand it. We managed about 5 minutes before our baby's lips turned blue and then got out. For almost £7 I don't think that this is very good value at all! No one at the pool seemed interested in this, and I didn't even receive a response to the message I sent about it (which I thought was fair to do rather than give a negative review). We've been up for the past 2 nights now with a very poorly 7 month old who is full of a cold. It's a real shame as he loves swimming and we loved taking him but we definitely won't be risking wasting money again on a children's pool that is too cold for even adults or risking making our poor baby ill again.

User

EPIC FAIL PINGLES!!!

long slow queues at reception everytime, with people complaining their kids will miss their swimming lessons, receptionists speaking to adult customers like they are stupid. Then I finally get to the front of the queue to find out the forms I took time to complete with evidence provided has all been lost (real data protection issue) and my children's names have been attached to some random persons name on their system (safeguarding issue), no apology offered just told they would allow me in on this occasion (as if they were doing me a favour!) And handed me more forms which they said I would have to complete again and then wait with them this time for them to be uploaded so they didn't go missing again!!

So finally get in the changing area to go into the changing cubicle to find wipes with a brown substance on them lying on the floor, a stench of wee and filth on the floor (we tried other cubicles but they were just as bad!), appalling lack of cleaning. Finally, after we were changed i put our stuff in a locker putting in a new £1, which was swallowed and locker wouldn't lock so waited for someone to come and sort it out only to be told that over 50% of the lockers do not take legal currency and still take old £1!!

So finally in the pool, to be shivering because it is sooooo cold in the water and the outside area opens (which is good because it was so busy), so we head out there to find the water features aren't on so my daughter asks the lifeguard nicely if they can be turned on, he says his radio isn't working so we need to go inside and speak to the lifeguard in there so we did but really worries me that a lifeguard has no way to contact his colleagues in an emergency?!

I shall be putting in a written complaint about my documentation so that there is an investigation as to where it has gone. But being a local, I am appalled at the state of this swimming centre and will be travelling further afield to Hinckley in future I think.

User

Disgusting. Not been for months and nothings changed. Rubbish around the edge of the kids pool, dirty in cubicles. Needs a deep clean, tidy up, fix of toddler area. Disgrace. Go to Hinckley, worth the extra travel for the facilities. *Forgot... love that your lifeguard had his lunch all over the floor under his chair. Soon cleared it up after he saw I'd noticed. Disgrace of a pool.

Absolutely fuming at WES in membership sales! Told me my daughter was booked in for swimming lessons and to go down at some point and fill in the paperwork to them be told “ he never said that “ and no swimming lessons! He's not the best at listening and attention as it is but Gary is so good with him and gets him smiling again which is really what he needs. Sorry about the essay! Swim lesson change over is a busy time so I just wanted to let him know how grateful I am! Thank you, Laura Hornby x

Wouldn’t be so bothered but she had her heart set on it and I now have an upset 6 year old. Won’t be going there again! Useless

since going back to the gym ive lost above a stone in weight 2 stone in all .feeling great with three sessions a week .feeling so happier and healthier .in the coming months hoping to shed 2 more stone to get to my goal .staff are helpful with guides to workouts and nutrition . .thanks all .if your looking to improve weight and appearance give it a go ..

User

We send both of our children for swimming lessons here. The swimming teachers are great with the children, especially our son who screams and cries about not having a parent in the water with him, his teacher Shona is so patient and helps calm him each and every week.

I would recommend the swim teaching team to anyone.

We have also had a swimming party here and all the children loved it. So much so a few of the friends attending have now had parties there.

I agree with a few of the comments about the changing rooms being a bit unclean at times, but I think this has improved recently.

User

So much fun my son loves the play pool and the outdoor bit!!! He would quite happily go out their in the snow crazy kid but lovely morning here and we plan to come back =) would be great if you could add a slide he'd love that I know there's a small slide for the baby pool but also medium one for play pool would be a fantastic addition thanks for the fun we will be back x

User

User
