Busy morning with the dentist, four floated and 3 checked. The old boy has reached the point where nothing can be done with them now, he is missing 7 and the rest are completely smooth but four high fibre feeds a day (including one at midnight!), he is not complaining!
Next batch just after Christmas, thank you Matthew Bradley EDT.

Whatever I was doing today, whoever I was talking to somehow this little girl (Olivia of Auckhorn) schmoozed her way in there. She is such a little sweetheart ....fingers crossed she is hiding a foal in there somewhere!!

Can you see us 👁️💕

Absolutely loving this photo just sent to us of the boy, Hose Reynard, by his old owner Carol Irwin.
It's from the Horse & Hound, 5th August 1993 when 'Jamie' took the Shetland Championship at the Royal Lancashire under Miss B Wilson, going forward to the Creber Qualfier, (HOYS Cuddy as it was then) judged by Robert Oliver who gave him the Reserve.
This boy is such a star, I didn't realise quite how much when we bought him but the more i learn about him the more interestin...g his life journey becomes.
Not to forget that he is also the face of the breed on the BSPS Heritage page with a photograph of us at Cheshire County standing 2nd Reserve Champion in the SSDL Olympia 2nd round age 25 and that this year he returned to the Breed Show and set a new record 23yrs after taking the Male Championship there to win another red, this time in the veteran aged 30yrs.
My stallion of a lifetime 😍

A lovely end of season show with novice Pirouette Midnight Debut today and a Ring Championship to boot,
Thank you Evie Walker for riding her so beautifully.

The boy (Hose Reynard) and I ventured to Wiltshire show last weekend...further than I thought (!) but the boy did well, oldest competitor at 30 by a few years (4 or 5 I think), Won his class and was 5th in the SSADL 2nd Round Championship.😍 *Looking at the marks Jamie had 78, (the Olympia ticket winner had 80) the third highest inhand marks out of 23 entries being higher than all the ponies in the pre-senior category 😮🤩"

The old boy in The Native Pony Magazine with his story setting what we believe is a new Breed Show Record 😍🏆. Some fabulous stories from all over the UK.

A great day at Kington today which resulted in bringing the Native Pony Bridles Overall Shetland Champion trophy I donated 4 years ago home again, so chuffed.
Pirouette Midnight Debut hasn't been shown Inhand since she was in Youngstock and was only entered as an after thought as she was doing her second show under saddle, a huge thank you to Lydia Millichap who showed her beautifully winning the Standard Mare Class while I showed Lathom Joyful who was 3rd.
'Cuckoo' behaved l...ike a star in the ridden Shetland class having only just been broken and was expertly ridden by Evie Walker (Samantha Walker) who never stopped smiling :-) taking the 2nd rosette and Best Lead Rein then Standard Champion and Overall Shetland Champion. I nearly had the right outfit on most of the time!
Well done to Cath Davies for Miniature Champion with Seva Pom Pom.

A bit of a late Breed Show update we had 2 ponies there, our stallion Hose Reynard aged 30yrs who we believe set a new Breed show record. He was last shown at a breed show 1994 when he took Male Champion and then shot across the country the next day to win Champion Shetland and Reserve supreme M&M at Ponies UK. 24 Years later he returned to the Breed Show to take another red in the Veteran class.
I learnt that this boy won the St Johns Wells trophy at the Royal Highland with... Hose Rosetta around this time amongst many other championships from his old owner Carol Irwin and family of the Eclipse stud who owned Jamie for many years and joined us at the show.
We also had his recently broken daughter 5yr old Pirouette Midnight Debut, our first ever ridden Shetland literally making her debut under saddle was 3rd in the lead rein novice class kindly ridden by Jack who met her just 20mins before we went in the ring for the first time. Jack preferred not to trot but did a grand in the ring walking her out beautifully, on his birthday too! She didn't put a foot wrong and I am so proud of this little girl and excited about her future under saddle. Massive thank you Jack and family & Nicola Richards for all of your help.
A fab but very wet show and huge credit to Mary & Lucinda Davenport and everyone who gave their time supporting and helping out at the show.

A fabulous day at Burwarton, one of my favourite shows. Our first time showing there for three years as we haven't taken a pony since 2015 when we took the Championship with our 3yr old filly and today we won the Standard Mare class and went Overall Shetland Champion with Lathom Joyful.
So very, very chuffed she was such a good girl and I'm now on the sofa recovering from that Burwarton hilly ring 🤣.
... So many lovely ponies there today a big well done to everyone they all looked great and there is always such a lovely friendly atmosphere at this show, I had someone chat to me in the loo (of all places!) who said it had made her want to buy a Shetland to show :-) .

A belated upload...and it's still making me smile. Lathom Joyful trying to steal her 2nd Rosette from a strong mare class at the 3 Counties this year. Judge. Mr D Hodge.
