Message from owner of PJW Accounting Limited (Paul Woodcock):

For years I worked for Chartered Accountancy practices whose only focus was on compliance (i. e. ensuring the right paperwork was on the file to make sure the Institute was happy on a compliance visit). Little thought was given to the needs of clients - the needs of the practice came 1st.

So, in 2003 I set up my own Company - PJW Accounting Limited with the aim of providing clients with what they wanted. And in the main that was tax advice. So I decided to incorporate a full tax review as well as all the usual compliance services for no additional cost. I believe it's what differentiates me from the competition.

One of my key markets are new start-ups. This is because I can get a new businesses tax affairs right from the start. This is coupled with advice on all the pitfalls new businesses face. I've been there myself, so know what all the challenges are.

I'm also very keen to hear from anyone who's accountant seldom talks about tax with them. I'm confident that if you discuss your affairs with me I can suggest ways in which you can cut your tax bill, whether that be: -
