My Glasses - Wow. You are amazing! Throughout my shooting career I have always struggled with vision and seeing clays clearly. Sometimes during the shot I would have to blink and re focus and that happened a lot. I have never seen the clays like I have over the past few shoots. the clarity, security of fit, weight and comfort is amazing and I never once fiddled with them, they are awesome! Sorry to rattl...e on but this weekend has really changed my shooting and enjoyment and I have never shot so well. I can see them without the distortion, blur or anything else, however the down side is I now have no excuses but would not want to change that!
Thank you so much for all your help, patients and expert advice.

Good afternoon everyone!
I've been looking for a gun box for the back of the car for a while now, and ideally needed something that would accommodate both the 58KG Mastiff and the 5KG Yorkshire terrier, as well as having enough storage for a couple of guns and all the usual accessories.
Having had some underwhelming experiences of service in a few areas in the shooting industry, its fantastic to put up a report about a service that knocked my socks off!
... Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting the guys at Thewlis Gregson at their facility in Cheshire. As well as being welcoming and professional, their enthusiasm for their product won me over.
Richard and Mark have a background in luxury vehicles and the quality of the products on show reflected this. The attention to detail and some of the finishing was fantastic, and Mark the chief designer clearly has both passion and talent in spades - I saw the same sense of craftsmanship and pride as when I visited the Krieghoff factory last year, and seeing each stage of the manufacturing process was really interesting, from the Fusion CAD system through to the metal work, laser cutting and assembly.
Everything is designed and constructed on site, with the majority of the materials being locally sourced, with the exception of their fantastic array of leather which is brought in from Scotland.
One of the great things about my job is that I get to meet so many people and am often asked for advice about vision, glasses and the like whenever I go shooting, so Richard suggested that alongside the guns, hospitality and dog accommodation, we introduce and area for some of the SportsVision kit too.
As such, the Vision Box was born! We're about 12 weeks away from completion and I'm really looking forward to watching it develop so will add pics and maybe a brief video of the design process for anyone who is interested.

Cracking set of customised Sebring Rx6 on their way to their new owner. The Rx6 has the fork system in a range of colours. The G2 has the same frame geometry but cable sides. Most prescriptions can be catered for in this large gents frame 🤓

Adding an extra dimension to prescription shooting lenses! Here, I've modified a prescription Pilla Sebring Rx4 lens by applying a gold Flash UV mirror While the reflective front surface prevents some of the bright light entering the lens, the underlying tint enhances contrast and target acquisition. The tint and UV blocker give protection from ultraviolet rays and the front surface coating is oleophobic and hydrophobic to repel dirt, dust water and grease 😎

Went to see Ed Lyons 5 weeks ago for shooting glasses I have a high index prescription and only 1 eye that works properly.

We had an excellent consultation and was advised on the best option for me (not the best brand or the highest price).

As previously aluded too it was advice, no pressure, a true ambassador of his industry and a gent.

On collection day he agreed to come in on his day off for the fitting and again nothing was too much trouble.

Agreed the best colour options that suited my needs, no pressure.....It's about you as a shooter not just a customer.

The day after shot my first comp in the new glasses and got top gun.



If you are in the market for quality prescription shooting glasses go and see Ed.

Spent quite a bit of time with Ed deciding on exactly what would suit me best. For ESP especially as we see a lot of black or orange targets against green we decided on the purple neutraliser. Next Ed sent me lots of frames to try on and in the end the wonderful 580x carbon framed frames seemed like the perfect choice. Super light on the nose and large enough so that no frame is visible. Now a very happy owner of a set of 580x in carbon with 22N lenses and I can't believe how clear the clays are. The glass is clearer than my current specs from a popular high street store. I will definitely be getting some more shades of glass for different types of weather conditions. Many thanks again Ed, top service from start to end!

Shot yesterday and today with my new 580's and I love them. The lens colour is perfect for me - holding focus on the clay is much easier and they seem larger than life! The glasses are so light you hardly know you're wearing them. I thought for a long time whether or not I should spend the money on a top class pair of glasses, given that I'm a C class shooter but I made the right decision. They inspire confidence and that's really important! Thanks Ed � �

I went to see Ed Lyons at Flint & Partners a few weeks ago for some prescription shooting glasses as I felt that my generic ones needed an upgrade and I was noticing some definition loss and suffering from them moving when mounting the gun and with recoil.

After a comprehensive eye test, colour preference test and various others as well as gun mounting, we decided on a bespoke shaped lens to allow for my chubby cheek to move WITHOUT it moving the glasses. The colour spectrometer thingy proved my default choice of purple lenses was correct for me and so after a few weeks I'm now the proud and excited owner of a pair of tailor made Sebring G2's! :-) The attention to detail in these is amazing and the quality outstanding. At first I thought the nose bridge part was crocked but then realised when I put them on and looked in the mirror that the glasses were sitting perfectly straight, the crocked bridge had been designed to correct my cute crocked nose!

I'm writing this review having used them this weekend and they surpassed my expectations. The clarity, comfort and fit are second to none and even make watching a lost clay hit the ground in the distance a pleasure.

Ed has been a pleasure to deal with and certainly knows his stuff and I now understand why people fly in from around the World to see him. I don't hesitate to recommend that you go see him!

As a ex GBR and England team memeber and international competitor i would not use anyone else for my sports vision needs

Although I don’t need to be brain of Britain to work out that with every new shooting season I am starting it a year older than the one before...however I was still a firm believer that my eyesight was as good now as it had been 20 years previous...wrong

After booking up and having my eyes examined I found my distant vision wasn’t as Sharpe as it could be and a mild prescription was required... Time to speak to Ed Lyons... Sportsvision Consultant..for those that don’t know... very quickly he came up with a solution and decided on a pair of Pilla 580x Carbon frames with my favourite colour lens - 55PWC.

In less than two weeks Ed had these made with my prescription and was contacting me to say there in the post... the very next day (as promised) they arrived � took them out at the weekend to try them on a FITASC shoot and although it rained constantly throughout the day I still managed a 93 giving me runner up in A.

Ed... the glasses are awesome, the difference is night and day and I cannot praise you and your team enough for the amazing service. Anyone looking for standard or prescription glasses give him a shout before anyone else...�
