Went here a few weeks ago, as i saw a dress online and waned to try it on. So i made an appoitment and went and tried it on, liked it but didnt love it, tried another dress and fell in love. They didnt pressure me, made me feel welcome was a lovely experience at my first bridal shop. Was happy for me to leave and and explore other places and even worked around my budget. I didnt but the dress but id defintley recommend this shop, amazing experience and lovely staff. Thank you xx

There aren’t enough words to describe how fantastic a service I received at Proposals; I honestly cannot thank Karen and the team enough for the amazing work they put in to both mine and my army of bridesmaids dresses. Always made to feel welcome, they were supportive and professional.



With a bridal party consisting of 10 bridesmaids, there were a lot of girls to cater for and Karen was able to incorporate everyone’s fittings and everyone was absolutely thrilled with their dresses on the day; the girls looked stunning. Karen was brilliant to deal with in the run-up to the wedding and I would happily recommend Proposals to any bride who is searching for their dream dress or in need of alterations (or both). I had a wonderful experience and could confidently assume this would be the case for other brides. Our alterations were carried out promptly, expertly and resulted in a fantastic fit. The shop is beautiful and stocks a great range of styles; more importantly, Karen and her team are on hand to give honest but always supportive advice. They were fantastic guiding me in putting together my bridal look. We were made to feel important and respected at all times and honestly, I loved dropping in for my appointments!



Karen truly went above and beyond to help us with our wedding attire. Not only was she able to accommodate my army’s number of dresses and subsequent appointments but she was also kind enough to deliver our gowns the day before the wedding after finalising last minute tweaks and steaming the dresses for us. They were delivered personally, professionally and with great care which helped settle any last minute nerves or worries!



The sheer amount of work, time and dedication that Karen put into our wedding dresses (and in general) was truly incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and the turnaround she managed for 10 bridesmaid dresses and a wedding gown during peak wedding season was astonishing. I honestly cannot recommend Karen enough; her dedication and alterations were faultless, resulting in beautifully fitting dresses and an incredibly happy bride!



To Karen and the team at Proposals, thank you so much for making me feel every inch the beautiful bride that I wanted to be; I am beyond thrilled with how my dress fit me and how I looked on my wedding day. I cannot recommend you enough and my army of bridesmaids have all said the same! Thank you for being so wonderful to work with before and on the day of the wedding- it is so appreciated! We were a big party to deal with and we loved having you as part of our special day. You are a hugely talented and very lovely lady and I am already missing dropping by to see you all!

Proposals has a reputation second to none for it's i alterations, so I made an appointment with Karen, I explained that I had bought my dress elsewhere and karen had no problem with this and welcomed me with open arms. My wedding dress needed to be shortened, taken in and altered around the shoulders, none of this was any trouble to Karen. Karen made a brilliant job of my wedding dress and made it look amazing. While I was having my fitting we decided it needed some detailing to lift the whole look of my lace wedding dress, so we all decided that some pearl beadwork would be a good idea to lift the whole look. We took some of the offcuts of the lace and Kayleigh(Karen's daughter) made a beautiful lace and beadwork section to attach to the ribbon to go around my waist, My whole look was beautiful and elegant with a bit of a vintage vibe. Karen and her team are talented, amazing and a joy to know. If you need any alterations doing Karen at Proposals is the person/place to go. Thank you for all your hard work. Wendy xx

The ladies in this shop are. I had the worst experiences trying to find my perfect dress and was told to try this shop. I walked in the first time scared and tears in my eyes. But after a few minutes was made to feel like the most wonderful woman in the world. I found my dream dress after 20 minutes and never looked back. Love this shop and the staff!! Not only did they make my prom dress years ago but I found my wedding dress at short notice at this lovely shop last year. I was recommended this outlet for alterations to a dress I had brought from another place. I cannot rate Proposals enough. Karen and all the staff are amazing and go the extra mile to make sure your happy. Welcoming from start to finish. The alterations she has made to my wedding dress, bridemaids and even my mothers dress for the big day are high quality and very well altered. Even though I did not buy my dress from here the dresses they have available are amazing and if I could turn back time I would definitely have brought from Proposals!! I picked up my dress this week ready for the big day at the end of the month. It is stunning and i am so excited to put it on again! I had a brilliant experience at Proposals!

Being a bigger lady the idea of trying dresses filled me with dread but everyone was so lovely and patient and made me feel like the most gorgeous girl in the world.

Hi to anyone that is looking at this site I was fortunate enough to go into this shop with my partner Caroline we dropped in without an appointment and could not have been treated any better the lady's in the shop could not be more helpful and friendly I have been to most bridle shops in the Midlands and this one is by fare the best service me and my partner have had big thank u to the staff at this shop as for the lady who helpeCaroline she made her feel relaxed and give her all the time she needed to pick and buy her dress so thanks ones again xxx

Brilliant shop so helpful (with no hard sale), really listened to what I wanted and was so professional. This shop has the most beautiful wedding gowns and I liked them as their gowns wasn't the same as everywhere else I went, really something for everyone here. The alterations to my gown was absolutely flawless and completely taylor-made to my measurements. I can't sing there praises enough xxx

Beautiful shop. Brilliant service. I have been to a few bridal shops and this was one of the best. We popped in while shopping in Coventry and left with a gorgeous dress at a great price. Can't wait for my fitting in August. Highly recommend x

After what can be described as a complete emotional breakdown, a week before my wedding, when I came into store and tried my original wedding dress on (not purchased at proposals) and decided I hated it, Karen rushed around getting all suitable dresses and encouraged me to try some alternatives on. Needless to say, after squeezing me in for 3 more fittings (in one week �) Karen made the adjustments needed (I'm not sure how she managed it but she did!) to make my dress perfect for my wedding.



Thank you Karen for your expertise, sympathy, friendliness, encouragement and your shoulder to cry on!! You will never fully understand how much confidence you gave me and I'm forever grateful.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I can't get over the disappointing experience we had at proposals! My friend has brought a dress from the shop months ago and went back today for her first fitting! After calling half an hour before the appointment out of courtesy to say we might be 5 minutes late, we got told if your any later than 10 minutes I won't be able to see you :/ okay! So when we turned up 5 minutes late the lady was up stairs and shouted down for the bride to get into the dress and she will come down! Considering it was such an issue we were late, We had to wait 5 minutes for her come down! The bride walked out of the changing room after no assistance getting into the dress, the lady walked over and I cannot express how uninterested she seemed! The first question she asked was your not from around here are you, it will probably be easier for to take the dress and get it altered nearer to yours!!! So after 5 minutes of discussing that a price had already been agreed for alterations with them she was having none of it! All in shock with the attitude we were receiving the bride agreed! The bride then asked, can I quickly try on some veils, the response was not today, I haven't got time, even tho we heard her say on the phone your my next appointment I'll see you at 10.30, we left the shop at 9.50!!! The bride got out of her dress and we left! We went to wed2be in Hinckley and received fantastic service and got the vail from there not even an hour after leaving proposals! I can't express how disappointed we are with the service that has been received! The after service has been disgraceful, we feel like the dress has been paid for and that's all that matters! One star is too much!!!
