6 years ago I worried about the amount of chemicals used in hairdressing and how toxic they are for my clients!
I also started to feel uncomfortable in the typical, pretentious and cold style of a lot of salons.
I feel the trigger was when my grandmother, who had dyed her hair dark all of her life developed brain cancer. We can not say the hair dye caused it but I realised I had been painting toxic chemicals onto my clients scalps, seeping into their body through their foll...icles.
Around this time I became more interested in yoga and personal development and wanted a life that revolved around this. This is how @purohairorganic was created.
We have grown so so much to become the leading Organic hair salon. Only using the safest and most natural products and colours which are safe for our clients and staff. We have won awards and developed great stylists along the way. We have an amazing, loyal and constantly growing client base . And I am entirely grateful for every bump in the road that helped us get here. Many lessons learned and I finally felt I was figuring this whole business thing out a few weeks ago.
But this week a man walked into the salon and stole a lot of money which the team had worked passionately to earn. For a second I lost faith and wondered how this could have happened but after a few days of refocusing I have realised it's a sign that we have more work to do as a team to grow @purohairorganic the next level. I will let karma be the outcome to the man who did this and anyone involved. I will use it as my driving force to push our ethos and reason we do what we do.
I am going to be opening up my appointment column on extra days to give people more organic hairdressing and will be providing free consultations and in salon treatments worth £12 with all appointments booked with me over the next month.
