Quarry Park Disc Golf

I actually found 6 discs in this patch of brambles on hole 5 of the long course. Anyone planning on playing the short doesn’t need to worry about this area because the short course doesn’t go near it.

I found these discs today. The 3 on the right have no contact details. Apart from Ali’s Disc they were all within a few metres of each other in the middle of brambles over the fence on hole 5 (blue course)

There was a break in at the course on Saturday night. Amongst the stolen items were 2 petrol strimmers, a chainsaw, hedge trimmer and disc golf backpack bags. All the power tools were Stihl with characteristic bright orange colour. They were all extensively marked with CV32 6RW and QuarryPark Disc Golf. Please look out for these items being sold on by the thieves.

Anyone know the owners of these discs? I went through the lost and found box yesterday and messaged 30 people. A few long unclaimed discs will be sold off and proceeds donated to Myton Hospice.

National Disc Golf Day tomorrow. I’ll open the course at 9am and proceedings start at 9:25 with introduction and coaching. Then play for an hour. If you haven’t already signed up, you can rock up before 9am, pay £6 and get a golf disc and mini as well as coaching and an hours play.

Save paper, navigate more easily, and avoid having to add up scores by using the UDISC app on your phone. It’s great for short and long courses at Quarry Park and has over 8,000 course-layouts set up, so you can use all around the world.

Rich Williams recorded an interview with Jay Reading and myself. It will go out on Saturday afternoon on BBC Coventry and Warwicks radio. He enjoyed it and said he would be back for a full round soon

Des and Jay Reading have arrived at Quarry Park and will be hosting a free clinic at 7pm on Friday. This is a fabulous opportunity to learn from world champions. It will be a LOT of fun, and there are some give-aways too!! Des is a 3-time Women’s World Champion and with husband Jay they won several Mixed Doubles World Championships. Jay has multiple World titles for Putting. You don’t need to be “serious”, recreational players will get as much if not more out of this than established players.

World Champions coming to QP and giving free Clinic. Let them know if you want a Glow Yeti Aviar and mini for £20. Des was 3 times Womens World Champion in the 2000’s, Jay was World Putting Champion many times, and together they were World Mixed Doubles Champions.

The course is now open from 2pm until sunset on weekdays. We are in the process of changing the short course signage so letters rather than numbers. Apologies for any confusion whilst we complete the change. PS if anybody has a fridge they can lend for the British Open on the weekend of 7-8th July, that would be great.

It was our first time at disc golf and it was made all the better by the sunshine and wonderful surroundings that you are playing in.

We were looking for something different and found it. Really fun few hours for all ages. Very friendly welcome and explanation / demonstration of how to play. Peaceful surroundings and space to picnic if you want to. Would definitely go again as quite addictive.

We turned up not knowing what to expect. It was a family fun event for the 11 of us.Met with a friendly smile and a keenness to show us how things work. Then it was off for fantastic morning of fun and laughter and of course by the end of the round competition had hotted up and we were all taking it very seriously.

Would recommend this place to anyone staff are friendly and knowledgeable and Disc golf is fun.

This is a great sport that has grown so much over the years.

Such a friendly, welcoming place, the staff are all knowledgeable and give a 'how to' demonstration before you play. Derek the owner loves the sport and his course and this shows by how amazing this place is. I guarantee you will be back for more once you have tried this.

The first time I ever played wasnhere and I absolutely loved it, I cannot reccommend this place enough. A hidden Gem!!

Had the best fun! Difficult to find days out to suit teenagers but this was a place we will definitely visit again and again.

Great course with different layouts appropriate for players off all levels. Beautifull nature and very friendly people will meet you there. Its definitly "a must go" course :)

Great course for seasoned vets and beginners alike. the short course offers a look into the sport and offers some challenges to new and younger players. the larger 18 hole course has plenty of challenge for skillful players. Great prices and very friendly staff. Well maintained but bring a change of footwear or wellies on the lower section of the course. The one true complaint I have (if there is one) would be that the artificial grass tee pads can get pretty slick.

Found this place looking for something to do with my daughter, wasnt sure what to expect. After literally the friendliest and most genuine welcome ever, we were given an explanation of what the sport is about and a small lesson on what to do and not to do, so off we went. Great fun was had and its something anyone of any age can have a go at. Will definitely be visiting again, even thinking about buying a disc too!

A cracking little place to go. Beautiful countryside park, easy little stroll between holes, hugely friendly and helpful staff. In an age of everything being either electronic or expensive (or both) this kind of place is a joy.
