Wide range of facilities, friendly staff and cleaners working hard to keep up with the high demand, changing room cleanliness checks every two hours to ensure cleaning standards are met and kept. Would recommend Saturday Quarry pool activities.

User

My daughter had her 9th birthday party there today! Lou was an amazing host, I was so pleased with the amount of effort she gave. All the children had a fantastic time and I would definitely book again. Food was lovely too!! Thank you

User

It’s scruffy but the staff are wonderful. Phill and Martin are amazing and the receptionists are friendly and helpful. They serve nice coffee and it’s warm. We have swimming lessons x3 a week. We use the public swimming and aqua camp. We have 1-1 and now considering the gym. Keep up the great work.

User

I have been using the fitness centre for years wouldn't go anywhere else. Lots of equipment and always get to use the tread mill. Staff are great also willing to help and support. It's not a gym where you feel intimidated as a mix of ages go. My Dad goes regular he is 75 and is also a keen supporter of the gym. The changing rooms could do with a refurb that's my only negative comment.

User

Helpful staff, just a shame that you'd pay the amount you did and 2 of the diving boards were out of action, think that the price you pay should reflect the facilities that they offered.

User

Yes, the changing facilities /showers are dire, parking is diabolical/expensive.. BUT I've recently had swimming lessons (with Phil and Jess, I *think*) and my 4yr old is having swimming lessons with Lou, and I wholeheartedly recommend them; patient and encouraging- we are both flying, well, swimming- along.

The #thisgirlcan sessions are incredible value for money, with the opportunity to improve your stroke, and try out Aqua Jog, in a friendly, non-judgemental, all-female environment (save the lifeguards) with a range of age groups, and a cuppa at the end.

We've attended the "inflatable and floats" session today, and we've had a whale of a time. 4 yr old said, "please can we come again? It was the best time ever"... I think she loved it because it was in the Priory pool due to The Quarry pool clean/refurb...

The staff are amazing, thank you for all your hard work... Just need to sort out the changing rooms/showers (or build a new one at The Sports Village in Sundorne ) to get 5* from me...

User

Kids enjoyed it but cleaner which I think her name is sue was so rude racist and offensive other staff were friendly

User

I've been using the facilities at the Quarry now for two weeks after being recommended to go to help with my depression and social anxiety. Yes since I last went some 12 years ago it doesn't seem to of change and it is very dated, however it offers an excellent variety of activities un rivalled locally. I would like the spa pool to be working but for £24.99 a month it is excellent value for money. The centre staff are knowledgeable warm and welcoming. Before or after you can make use of the cafe which serve Costa Coffee spot on. I hope the centre lives on for many years thank you to the hard working staff that keep it very clean and tidy and recommend to everyone

User

Aqua Zumba with Katie is brilliant, the staff are lovely, helpful and polite. However, changing rooms, showers and facilities are diabolical. The whole place needs an overall so it attracts more people to use the facility

User

Very old and dated. But my 6 month old daughter loves swimming so we still go. We go every Sunday, we then go upstairs for food. All in all we spend about £20 in total every week there, apart from yesterday. We walked up to the counter a minute or two before 3. (Stop serving hot food at 3pm) to be told that she has only just turned everything off. We then witnessed another member of staff walk out with some food. I know it seems petty but the swimming baths want more custom yet are turning it away.

User

Nice pools, friendly attentive lifeguards, but the showers are dreadful, you have to press the shower button every 3 seconds for a dribble of water to come out, they are also very low, very hard work trying to shower a toddler and myself with those showers!

User

Like going here but does need a few things sorting really. The jacuzzi has been out of order for months. They diving boards out of order for 2 years. Swim fins used to be allowed early mornings in lane swims why not anymore?? Showers cold and most don't work.

User

I have been attending the Aqua Zumba classes for over a year on a Wednesday evening and then also on a Tuesday evening which is absolutely fantastic, but I have grown more and more disappointed over the last 4-6 months as the changing facilities are in a much need state of repair and upgrading, they smell disgusting at times and there is either, no water to shower or it's cold!!

The temperature of the water in the Claremont pool is not acceptable, very very cold, even though they advise you otherwise!! I have put in a number of complaints, but to no avail. I really feel sorry for Kate Vaughan, our instructor as she does a fantastic job, but she is losing a lot of her regulars, because of these issues, especially the cold temperature it'll the water. I honestly, don't see how they can want to keep the pool were it is, why don't they build us a new pool with modern facilities and amenities it would be supported so much more!!!

User

Visited today with a friend and our 2 daughters, won't be returning anytime soon which is a shame because I've been coming for 20+ years, I'd rather pay extra to travel elsewhere. Facilities haven't changed and are still very dated, although the showers have actually gotten worse, you push the button for them to stay on for 3 seconds tops for a trickle of water to come out making it difficult to wash yourself off. I know this is down to our local council! Also witnessed a rude lifeguard who, as we were walking out, was being spoken to by an upset parent also complaining about how her son was treated in the Quarry pool. He made unfair and uncalled for comments to most of the children playing in the pool and comes across as a bully, there really was no need (we did get his name and made sure to mention it on the complaints form) Although we were told when paying that the flume was out of action it did actually open up at one point which we were glad of as there was only one diving board open and the kids were getting bored! Such a shame to have seen it go so down hill!!

User

Use to love going to the quarry for the diving as so did alot of people.but now only one springboard left open.the two big boards no longer in use shame

User

Not been here before and fancied a swim after work so came here, the pool timetable had 1 timing "0800-1800 leisure/health swim" ...;what it should have been called is "the pool will be full of people all swimming in random directions and weirdly just floating in your way and at some point when you've managed to establish a lane to continue swimming lengths in, we will put a rope across the pool so that you can't swim lengths anymore - session"... It was also overpriced with an expensive car park and the whole place looked as if it hadn't been touched since the 90s. Would not recommend if you want actually benefit from a swimming session, however if you would like to go somewhere that you can float around aimlessly then this is the place for you. Enjoy.

User

I attended the finding dory swimming session today and tbh very disappointed ... The games were too complicated for the age of audience ( toddlers mostly) and could barely hear the instructor .. Most people left the hour only session early .. Also many commented that if she had to read the schedule on her clipboard and huff once more we would fall asleep ... I never Wright reviews but felt let let down after paying for this and loving the film .. Maybe some Disney music or some Disney props ( Disney ball to call out kids name ) would help ..

User

Over priced to go swimming.go about once a month to the Pool.Pool & shower functions are in desperate repair tho.Needs a total revamp.from top to bottom. Other than that it's good to have a large pool to swim in when I am there.Staff are friendly.

User

Often a queue out the door whilst certain reception staff type War and Peace into the computer for each and every customer attempting to get in.

Sunday afternoons pool changing room floors are being "cleaned" i.e hosed down, whilst the gym changing rooms are "out of bounds" to the public at the same time, so there is NOWHERE dry to get changed!!

Relax room also closed on Sunday afternoons for some bizarre reason?! Come on Sunday has to be most likely day of the week for relaxing?

Closing times at weekends have recently been moved even earlier, now 4pm Saturday and 5pm Sunday so no good to me to pop in for a quick session after work.

Gym equipment well worn, and when broken takes an age to get fixed. Jacuzzi seems broken more times than it seems working.

Certain life guard staff have an "attitude" and like to talk down to customers in condescending tones, whilst also swanning about the place acting like they own it, yet doing very little actual work.

With a few little tweaks by a decent manager, the Quarry had the potential to be an excellent facility again, but the current team seem determined to run it into the ground.

I've been a customer since 1998, but I very much doubt I'll be renewing my current membership when it runs out.
