My husband had been transferred from good hope hospital after waiting 9 hours for the decision that he was going to be rushed to Queen Elizabeth. He was there for 5 days and i cant fault the nurses and surgeons they were all fantastic. It made leaving him there of a night alot easier for me as we live on the otherside of city centre. I can honestly say if we ever need a hospital or A&E to go to then i will pick Queen Elizabeth. No other hospital in my opinion helped us in the way that you all did. And can i say what a fantastic Physio team you also have they helped my husband come on leaps and bounds thank you .

My father came in for surgery today, he was treated with respect, dignity and care by absolutely everyone. HCA, porters, surgeons x 3 and the wonderful nurses. Especially Anna, the named nurse whose genuine care of my father was truly beautiful to observe.

I have been to many hospital appointments and visits with my father and can honestly say today’s experience was outstanding.

My father and I will pen a letter to the chief executive to express our gratitude.

Thank you for your dedication and care.

Just like to say massive thanks to all the ward staff on YPU. Ethan’s treatment has been incredible since day 1, great leadership on the ward from Tina, Del and Charlotte and their team are fantastic. Ethan was discharged earlier than expected and we are now making the daily visits, which are more than bearable knowing we’re all being cared for by everyone. Great care and compassion towards patients and making sure normality is the norm #greatjob #thanksforallyoudo

I'd like to thank everyone at Ward 407 all the staff who have been doing an excellent job in looking after me for the past 3 weeks and specifically I'd like to thank Katie the Ward Manager at Ward 407 for being absolutely outstanding in doing a phenomenal job everytime I had a problem I'd talk to Katie about it and she would always resolve the issue. A great and fantastic manager one that truly deserves credit for her excellent leadership and truly remarkable patient care she provided. To all the trainee nurses to the nursing assistants to the nurses and to the whole nureology team and to Katie I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me through my difficult phase in life.

From Ward 407 Room 36

God Bless you all x

I would like to thank all the staff of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham A&E and other departments for the very special care love and attention they gave to my severely disabled and very poorly Grandson and his family last night and today.

Doctors - nurses, including support staff day and night, please take a well deserved bow of appreciation from me and my family.

Your understanding and heartfelt efforts to help a very poorly young man while understanding the needs of his very worried mum and nanny (Me) were so comforting and reassuring.

What I appreciated most was your honest endeavours to keep us (A very worried family) up to speed with my grandsons condition.

That’s what I experienced at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Thank you to all the staff xxx

I was discharged from hospital on Sunday march 11 th 2018 after having an adrenalectomy and my nursing care had been totally amazing. Every nurse was been compassionate and couldn't do enough for me. My surgeon and his team were brilliant and through the whole process from diagnosis to surgery every one I have met has been so kind and helpful and couldn't help me more.

The only issue .. and if it wasn't for one of the nurses on Sunday going above and beyond to help us this rating could have gone down to a 2.. was admissions lounge lost my bag.

I only owned a pair of slippers when I was told I could be discharged.

My husband.. my nurse on critical care, and security ( which our nurse called) hunted high and low for my missing bag containing all my clothing. Purse . phone. House keys..

It was located after wasting so much time from my nurse ( and several others on other Ward s looking for it) and security to hunt down keys for this unit that was closed all weekend.

The bag was found.. my chance.. in a linen cupboard .. as someone forgot to take it my ward for me as promised while I was in theatre.

Once found I be was able to go home.. but I was blocking an ICU Bed for several hours as my bag could not be located.

Apprently this happens regularly .

But apart from that my medical care had been second to none and one person's logistics error would not stop me recommending this wonderful hospital.

I'm from gloucestershire and I just wish our local big hospital GRH was only haha as good as this one.

I only had a quick visit into the A&E department but everything and everyone from start to finish was amazing.

Someone met us at the taxi with a wheelchair to take us to check in and he was lovely to chat to, the receptionists were also very understanding and out you at ease. The care and treatment from the doctor, 3 nurses and x ray team we met was superb.

The care was second to none! Huge thank you to everyone who helped us today

User

This evening I went for an X-ray and mri, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downfall was the cleanliness of toilets, no toilet tissue, over flowing bins and waste paper towels all over the floor not good.

User

Good care but slow on the discharge. I get they busy but it would make sense to get rid of the patience that don't need to be here so they can focus on the critical .

My mom been waiting to be discharged since 5 yesterday afternoon. And the time now is 12.20. QE look at your discharge methods and sort it. Also they moan they have no beds it would help if you sent people home when you say you are and free the beds.

User

cant fault the surgeon s thay where good but when my wife went up to ward 728 the nurses was not that good if you could find one ask for water get it in a hour press the buzzer thay walk straight passed you and not staff night staff was the worst if you can find a nurse i fort people h want to be a nurse loved looking after people thats not aways about the money you now

My fathers brand new iPhone went missing before visiting hours. He tried to take it to the bathroom with him and a member of staff advised him he was not allowed to, so took it off him. That person then gave it to another member of staff who placed it on the bedside table of my fathers bed. Full investigation being carried out - 3 weeks on and no further forward except responding to me when I ask about it as if it is an inconvenience. Disgusting
