Regal Evesham

About Regal Evesham

Art Deco cinema lovingly restored - beautiful, stylish, friendly.

Regal Evesham Description

Offering far more than an ordinary cinema, our day time up market coffee shop and gallery turns into a wine bar in the evening alongside the Circle and Auditorium Bar. Audiences have the choice to watch films sat at candlelit tables on the ground floor or to snuggle up in the double love seats, regular seats or one of the four Royal Boxes in the circle and enjoy a drink from any of our bars, before, during and after the film. . .

Films range from blockbusters to classics, family favourites to art house and independent. We have Chum Club for kiddies on Saturday mornings 10-1pm and family films every Saturday afternoon and special extra films in the holidays.

The Regal is a true community venue and in addition to films and screenings hosts a broad range of events including art exhibitions, an educational program that includes keynote lectures, live music, Sunday Sessions of acoustic live music, comedy and other live performances, a live sports feed, fashion shows, exhibitions and corporate events. . .

Went to watch England go through to the Semis. As always a real treat to be there - and not just because England won their game against Sweden; imagine being escorted to your seat by the lovely Emily, who then brought along our beers, sitting in a bucket of ice water! So perfect for a very hot afternoon. A fitting venue for a great game. And it's not over yet .... come on England!

User

Went to see Ed Byrne last night. There was a mix up between Ticketmaster and the Regal. It could have ruined our evening, but the staff at the Regal, especially Laurence, were fantastic. Communication in advance was prompt and helpful. On arrival they made sure myself and my guest (both wheelchair users) had easy access, made us welcome and looked after us so well. They asked if we needed help at appropriate times, but didn’t assume anything. Fantastic and we will definitely go back to a venue that respects and values its customers like this.

User

We love this little cinema! Our most recent visit was yesterday for the live streaming of the Royal Wedding and we were not disappointed; entry was free and the cheese and meat platter we had preordered arrived very quickly and was lovely (lots of extra nibbles). Staff were lovely as ever and entered into the spirit, wearing masks and fascinators for the occasion. We have previously seen films and attended live music and comedy events and have always enjoyed ourselves. The Regal really is the jewel in Evesham's crown!

User

We found this little gem of a place yesterday, and we loved it! Ok tickets are a little more than your ‘average’ cinema, but then the Regal is anything but ‘average’.

It’s an all round experience. The staff were friendly and most helpful, the food was lovely, and we really liked the Royal Box area..... so much so, we’ve booked to go back again today.

The loyalty card is a great idea - thank you!

User

We are so lucky to have an independent cinema that is also a beautiful work of art it's not just a night out it's a experience like no other

User

The cinema and staff are fantastic. The venue itself is like stepping back in time with an Art Deco interior which is exquisite. The staff go out of their way to help you and are friendly and polite. My only criticism would be that the drinks are expensive but don’t let that put you off

User

Loved my evening watching Mr Grey, was a treat from my god daughter for my 50th birthday! Love how the cinema is set out with comfy chairs and tables and you can txt the bar with your orders and they bring it to you......brilliant 😍quite expensive but definitely worth it !!

User

I went with my husband to see Martine McClutchen last Wednesday. Our first ever visit here. Didn't know what to expect. What an Absolutely lovely Venue. Never been there before. We were downstairs on a table close to the middle. Lovely Theatre. Lovely staff waited on our table and everyone else. Very professional. We only had drinks as had eaten beforehand. If we had known that you could eat at the venue we would have because the prices looked very reasonable. Will definitely be going again. Martine was amazing too.

User

I love going to the Regal its a lovely night out.The beautiful Art Deco balcony upstairs is my favourite. The staff were very attentive and the food was lovely.I will fully support the efforts made at this special independent Cinema. The dress up night at The Orient Express was great fun and the staff made a great effort too.

User

I absolutely LOVE this place. We visit regularly despite having a cinema in our own town. Be it live events streamed, new release films, children's films or live acts, the Regal has it all, by the bucket load. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

User

Great little cinema with friendly enthusiastic staff. I love that I can book my seats, supper and drinks and enjoy the whole experience at a table shared with friends. As a loyalty card member I have seen 6 Nations Rugby matches and the World Cup semi final for free, just paying for burgers, pizza and beer. The latest film releases, screened live theatre, ballet and opera, guest musicians, I could go on, it is a little gem in Worcestershire and long may it continue.

User

Fantastic! We loved how the cinema is set out with the comfy chairs and tables great view of the screen, the bar is in the same room, the table service, toilets are clean and close by; everything you need for a great night out. Definitely an experience to be tried, and done again.

Going to try the lovers seating upstairs next time.

User

Fantastic evening with friends watching the new Mama Mia, Here we go again! Brilliant film, venue was superb as ever, though needed to keep on top of toilet cleaning downstairs when they are so fully booked!

After party was good, shame Marsha Mallow hadn't prepared more Abba songs considering the film we were watching, but still a good all round entertaining evening and we will be returning!

Hopefully they will have a similar launch party for the new Queen film in November!!!!! We will need at least two tables!

User

Fabulous girlie evening out watching Oceans 8. Would like to thank Regal for the fabulous prize of the 8 tickets I won via the Facebook competition. I love going to the Regal cinema. Comfortable seats and lovely table service. Makes a brilliant night out. Thank you again xx

User

Saw Mama Mia there last night. Love this theatre! A hot night and no air con = a lot of very hot people!! An old building and exceptional weather but it was very uncomfortable - maybe issue fans??

User

Fab for watching a film, especially upstairs in the love seats...so comfortable. Love the Text service they supply. However, very overpriced- popcorn £4 a bag when you can get the same in a supermarket chain for a £1, arrived early and opted to eat there as not too sure on the area....again very overpriced, over £10 for a cheeseburger which was thrown at us by somebody from the kitchen, I presume, not very warm and no after care- 'Is everything okay' etc.... lots of staff milling around, but just didn't seem very organised.

User

A lovely way to watch a movie! This was my second visit to the Regal and I’m certainly hooked. I would have given 5 stars but the food order was a bit disappointing - wrong panini was served and the food all came out at different times for our party of 4. Also ordered some drinks via text service and never got any change back from the £10 I paid (and couldn’t find anyone at the end to rectify this) If the food/drinks side of things could be sorted it would be 5 star all the way for me!

User

At first I had an unfortunate experience in that my dad and I arrived late due to road work and traffic and subsequently had to miss the screening of Darkest Hour. The staff were not too helpful in transferring the pre-paid tickets to another time but upon taking the matter further the Regal came through with flying colours. Had a great experience when we went there today. Staff very helpful. Great atmosphere. Made to feel very welcome. Will definitely return.

User

Went to see The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society tonight.

Pros - comfy seats, roomy.

Cons - A very lovely film ruined by excessively loud music from the bar below !

The door was wide open and interrupted the viewing for far many more than were in the bar at what we later found out was 'salsa night'.

Perhaps had it been an action film, the disruption would be minimal, but for a film with a delicate soundtrack, and heartfelt dialogue it was an awful distraction.

When you pay a premium price for tickets (more than many local cinemas) you expect more than straining to hear the film in parts over shouting, loud singing and incredibly loud music.

Tried speaking to a member of staff on the way out, a quick lip service sorry, and no further interest.

You may want to have you staff in the bar making sure the door is shut and turning the music down several decibels.

Staff customer service training wouldn't go a miss.

Was hoping to bring the children in half term, I may have to look elsewhere.

After party was good, shame Marsha Mallow hadn't prepared more Abba songs considering the film we were watching, but still a good all round entertaining evening and we will be returning!

Hopefully they will have a similar launch party for the new Queen film in November!!!!! We will need at least two tables!

Saw Mama Mia there last night. Love this theatre! A hot night and no air con = a lot of very hot people!! An old building and exceptional weather but it was very uncomfortable - maybe issue fans??

Fab for watching a film, especially upstairs in the love seats...so comfortable. Love the Text service they supply. However, very overpriced- popcorn £4 a bag when you can get the same in a supermarket chain for a £1, arrived early and opted to eat there as not too sure on the area....again very overpriced, over £10 for a cheeseburger which was thrown at us by somebody from the kitchen, I presume, not very warm and no after care- 'Is everything okay' etc.... lots of staff milling around, but just didn't seem very organised.
