User

Visited the main bar on the first floor last night and it was very very busy. Great, lively atmosphere but a long wait for service at the bar and it felt quite fraught. Once everyone was served though it was more relaxed and the bar staff very very friendly. Delicious cocktails. Great music and entertainers on the stage.

User

Visited here today with my fiance and a friend for cocktails and lunch. We took advantage of happy hour with 2 course lunch £10 and 241 cocktails. The food and daiquaris were amazing! The atmosphere was really good with love music. Will defiantly be returning to get us in the Cuban mood before our honeymoon to Cuba x

User

This is the second time visiting here . The first time we sat downstairs for food and cocktails which I really enjoyed. The second time yesterday I discovered the upstairs room which I really love. There is a great atmosphere up there with the live band playing Cuban style songs and an added bonus of the happy hour as I love there cocktails

User

The venue is incredible and the staff are extremely accommodating and polite! If you haven’t already been you must go, particularly on a weekend when upstairs is open.

User

Originally going to the Cozy Club but they were full so we headed off to this plain fronted building on temple Street I had passed earlier. We were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our seats the place looks so Cuba with music to suit we ordered cocktails which were just amazing then our meals arrived which were served by very helpful staff the cost was quite reasonable. Before we left we had a look at the bar upstairs which was just fantasy. We are definitely coming back here again superb place good service great food and drink and fantastic atmosphere

User

My boyfriend won a Facebook competition for some free drinks and we went yesterday....nice atmosphere, drinks were great, staff were friendly, service was v good!

Thank you very much we will definitely be back for cocktails and food!

User

Great place!! Especially with the live music on Friday nights!! Hats off to the band, great choice of music and the whole set was epic!!

User

Excellent food and the staff were all amazing! The bar upstairs is done out amazing very spacious and the decor is beautiful. One of the best bars in town at the moment

User

Went there on Sunday 13th (just before 1pm) wasn't very busy when we first got there but it started filling up. We only had drinks but we were pleased with the selection of cocktails and with the 2 4 1 offer. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to going again and trying the food.

User

It was very good value for money some cocktails come in tankards. My mother, sister and myself went neither of us could fault the drinks or food and the amount either. The music was very good as well they had a live jazz singer and keyboard player the music my mother adorned. The service was very good as well I would recommend it to anyone

User

Well, the place looks great, little bit posh (not like in Cuba). Yesterday was a latin motion party with a live band. They were alright but was not enough space to dance and loads of drunk people were there which is no good if you want to go to dance and drink 1-2 cocktails. The restaurant is really really loud so we have decided to get dinner somewhere else then went back to the party.

Pos: nice drinks, nice place and little bit Cuban, live music

Neg: really loud, not enough space to dance, drunk people on the dance floor, terrible toilet

I think if someone go to this place out of peak time then can get a nice couple of hours with friends or with partner.

User

We pre-ordered our meal but our order was still mixed up and everybody's courses didn't arrive on time so some of us had finished our main course while others hadn't eaten. We also waited over half an hour for our cocktails to arrive. However the food was quite tasty, the cocktails were good and the atmosphere was bouncy!

User

Had been waiting for this to open for a while, and got tickets for the launch party. Wasn't sure what to expect but was hoping to grab food and have a few drinks.

Was very shocked at the price of the cocktails (most 9.50). There wasn't a 241, which I understand as it was a launch, but even thought this was a lot more expensive than all the other cocktail bars within streets of this venue.

No cloakroom. I saw others ask about this too as it was chucking it down.

Was told we couldn't have food but could grab some of the free samples going around. What we did manage to sample was lovely.

The only thing that was odd, was the three drinks I had. One waiter snatched the empty glass out my hand, and another to bar staff tried to take my drinks away before I'd finished. At £9+ each, they were essentially trying to take £4 back!

Atmosphere was great and loved the menus (both food and drinks).

Definite room for improvement, and think it needs to be more competitive to other venues around.

User

Food was delicious and very generously portioned. The only grumble is that service wasn’t the greatest. Waited ages for drinks to be brought to the table and staff weren’t very attentive - it was a quiet Sunday night so no really reason for it.

Would go again but hope that service is better.

User

Excellent space bagging tunes and good atmosphere, Aggressive and overbearing guy in the male toilets seemingly controlling the loos and asking for money totally put me off.... you guys need to sort this out very off putting makes you not want to go to the loo

User

Went with friends on a Sunday. Wasn’t busy. 30 mins to bring drinks, “complimentary” nachos which we didn’t ask for and were charged for. Asked at the end to take them off but they just moved it to the bottom of the bill. Food just ok glad it was 2-4-1 on tapas as the amount you get for the money was ridiculous and most of it was tasteless. Sides bought out pretty much after we had finished everything. The waitress was also miserable. Considering it’s new you would think they would make more of an effort. Won’t be returning.

User

We went Easter Sunday, booked a table for 2pm. Didn't need to place was pretty deserted, probably 4-5 tables in use. Ordered drinks, took 15 mins to come , even though, the barmaid wasn't currently making anything, we had to ask again for them. I may have been confused, I thought the waitress said 2-4-1, but only one came, (not a pronlem). We ordered tapas to start, was ok. Hubby ordered chicken curry and I ordered the burrito bowl. Mine was cold & tasteless when it arrived, 2 mouthfuls & I set it aside. Later waitress asked if everything was ok, noticed my food, I told her it was cold. She removed it with no comment, but returned and asked did I want anything else. I politely refused. When they brought the bill they had deducted half of the cost of the burrito bowl. I did think the full amount should have been deducted. But paid and left. Staff were friendly and I imagine it would have a different vibe of an evening, but I wouldn't return for food..

User

The portion sizes were ridiculous for the price! Really need to work on customer service when complaints are made. Big up to the guy who gets 2 stars for giving us maracas.

User

I was so looking forward to the opening of the bar as i felt Birmingham is missing a nice latin place and what better than a Cuba-themed one. Unfortunately it is nothing more than any other club in Birmingham city center where the music is just commercial... nothing wrong with that but i can just visit whichever other place, I don't need to go to rev de cuba for just random popular music. On top of that we were not let on the 2nd floor on a Friday night and were asked to wait downstairs as the 2nd floor was too full. Eventually when we managed to go upstairs, we realised that the bar was half empty and the waiting was absolutely unnecessary. Please stick to your name and play better music, we have enough bars with commercial music!
