I feel a bit bad about this. I have been raving about the Neptune version and the Earth version - but why the hell haven't I been focusing on this for the dreadnought guys? Based on my experiences of the Earth and the Neptune models this will be a stunning instrument - no wonder its been nominated for best new acoustic guitar - Good luck!!

Years after buying a guitar (Strat) from Regent Guitars I was delighted to renew my acquaintance with Richard today when I collected my two new guitars, a Burny RSA65 (335-alike) and a Gordon-Smith GS-1 in TV Yellow.

This is genuinely a new way of buying guitars and has everything to recommend it.

Richard gives his time and knowledge freely and there's no doubting his knowledge, experience and passion for guitars.

I arranged to go beforehand so the guitars were set up to my requirements.

I enjoyed trying them out, chatting with other customers and speaking with Richard. Great way to spend a saturday morning.

I drove from South wales to do this. best two and half hour trip I have made.

If you are thinking of buying your first guitar or you are up there with the best, give Richard a try.

Richard is a lovely gent who was always on the end of a telephone or email when I needed him. I do not think he shuts off from his business, as he was always straight back to me regarding my enquiries.



The acoustic amp that I was contemplating was the best price on the net, but it had risen in price during the period that I was contemplating pulling the trigger on it, and like the gentleman he is, he held it at it’s old price for me.



When the amp arrived, the box was dented and the amp scratched, but again like a true gent (and within a day), he had another replacement on my doorstep - this time in immaculate condition.



He has an ‘old-school-put-the-customer-first’ mentality, with an infectious enthusiasm and passion for his guitars and amps, not to mention his huge pride in making sure he is always delivering the very best to his clients/friends with an acute sense of detail and quality control...and just a lovely guy to do business with.



I plan to return Richard!

Purchased a Furch OM35 from Richard and he gave me excellent service and the guitar arrived in the California safe and sound...speaking of sound, I am constantly getting remarks on the sound (and looks) of the guitar. Hoping to purchase another Furch from him soon!

I've had a couple of guitars from Richard over the years. A Stonebridge 23CR a few years ago and most recently a beautiful G&L ASAT Bluesboy. His knowledge and enthusiasm towards guitars and a commitment to maintaining service and product quality that borders on pathological is a breath of fresh air in an industry otherwise bursting with box shifters seemingly more than happy to send out whatever turns up from the suppliers without so much as a cursory glance at the condition of the guitars that they're sending out. Not only does Richard insist on high standards of product and service, but he's a hell of a nice guy too. For anybody serious about getting the best bang for their buck where guitars are concerned Richards Guitars should be at the top of your list as the go to guy.

I popped in while my wife had a conference near by. Great little shop and great guy running the place. I need a special guitar finding to replace my old one which exploded after 1000 gigs, Richard and is team scoured the UK Europe and final found what I was looking for in Asia,.

I drove 3500 km to collect my new beauty and wasn't disappointing their shop is easy to find and all the team are friendly and welcoming.

Richard gives you as much or a little attention as you like and is on hand to offer friendly and practical advice should you wish to take it.

I love every single bit of this guitar - I have played Alhambras, Washburns, Ibanezs, Taylors, Corts... A good bunch of guitars in similar prices. Nothing coming closer to the playability and tone of this Eastman guitar. I had my reservations on it being made in China, but I should highlight that it is a HANDMADE guitar for just over a thousand po



unds, and it is exquisite in detail and features.



The tone is simply there, very taylorish, warm yet defined. Considering I don't have a big frame or big hands and the fact that I'm used to electrics instead, I wanted a guitar where playability is a priority - The work done by Richard's is amazing! I have NEVER played an acoustic so easily, despite the 12-53 gauge and etc. It plays as similar to an electric as an acoustic can.



Richard's service was invaluable when it came to choosing the guitar - he even did a video for me in his Youtube channel to help me decide and choose the best option (I was doubting between this and a Faith slightly cheaper).



Service like this is priceless.

I bought a used American Standard Telecaster from Richard online in November but discovered 6 weeks later that there was a problem with the truss rod nut which hadn't previously needed adjusting and so wasn't picked up in the pre-delivery inspection. The way Richard has handled this has been exceptional. After promptly exploring all available options, Richard offered a full refund of the cost of the guitar which was paid into my account within 24hours of the guitar's return. As essentially there was no way to prove when and how the damage occurred, I expected the problem to be difficult to resolve but Richard has proved to me beyond doubt that his promise is not just sales patter but is a genuine business principle he backs up with actions. Thanks Richard!!

Having been advised by Richard into the brand of Furch for an acoustic guitar, I now find myself with two! One brilliantly set up from Richard's shop and play wonderfully. The other (a 12 string) bought privately and is in great condition, but will be heading Richard's way for a service. Love the advice, love the brand, Love the price!

Guitar shop perfection! As a very novice guitarist, who hasn't really picked up a guitar in well over 10 years, I walked into Richards shop more than a little apprehensive. Looking around the shop, after a brief introduction from Richard, I noticed that there wasn't many 'Well known' brands, the odd Ibanez here and there, the rest of the guitars I'd never heard of. I immediately felt out of my depth but decided to go up to Richard and confess to my very little knowledge, tell him what I was after and see what he said.



I'm so glad I did!! Richard is the most knowledgeable, pleasant, non pushy salesman I have ever had the pleasure to meet. His passion for his stock and his attention to detail genuinely is second to none. Never have I experienced such good service in any music shop I have ever visited. After giving me a selection of guitars to try, I was left alone to play them away from the shop floor, and after whittling it down to two, Richard was on hand to demo the guitars, and very patiently and expertly explain the differences, without telling me which one i should buy. The guitar I bought is stunning, beautifully made and has an amazing tone which has rekindled my love of playing. I have spent more time in one day with this beautiful Eastman guitar from Richard than I have spent on my Ibanez in a very long time!



Sorry for the long post, but I can't recommend the service you receive from Richard enough, this guy really knows his stuff, has a passion which is infectious and sells truly stunning products.

Great service: honest, personal, knowledgeable. Allow plenty of time to peruse the carefully selected range. Take the opportunity to try what you like the look of. Know that whatever you choose will be carefully setup. Take a coffee- you'll spend far more time in the shop than you intended!
