Getting closer! Off to the rolling road in the next few weeks, body to paint add graphics, then out testing to see what it will do!

The S2000 car is coming along nicely, we have fitted the engine, transmission and most of the plumbing. Next on the list is fitting suspension and brakes once a few key parts arrive back from zinc coating so hopefully rolling by the weekend. 👍

Its been a while since we have posted so thought an update on the S2000 car would be of interest. We collected the new chassis from powdercoating yesterday, so today we started with the assembly, fuel lines, wiring loom and aluminum panels are first to be fitted. Engine and gearbox will be fitted later next week and we will keep you posted with the build over the next few weeks.

Took delivery of the S2000 engine today, it has already ran on an engine dyno so fingers crossed installation should be a realitivly simple process. I'm really pleased with the workmanship put into this engine, the throttle bodies alone look a great piece of kit.

RJR Cyana S2000 update!
With the job list reducing before things go off for paint and coating, we have been finishing off the chassis panels and floor. Shame to then cover this with Grp. Hopefully the engine will arrive this week then we sort the mounting of the dry sump tank and electric water pump. All aluminium work is included in our comprehensive chassis kits currently priced at £5995.00 inc.

It's been a while since I posted an update! So here goes..... The new Honda S2000 Cyana is progressing nicely and will soon be off to the paint shop. Nearly all of the accessory brackets have now been fabricated, I'm just waiting on the oil tank which will arrive with the engine first week in January. I will carry out one more final mock up of all the parts including wiring runs, brake and fuel lines before it is stripped and prepped for powdercoating. As you can see all bodywork is finished including the revisions of the aero canopy so the build should progress relatively quickly following the painting processes. All being well, we should be out testing in March in preparation for the new season.

Some of this year's trophy haul from the 750mc Sports Specials Championship. 4 x pole positions 2 x wins 10 x podiums and 1 x lap record which saw our team clinch the ultra competitive Class A championship and finish 3rd overall behind Lee Emm and Leighton Norris.
Special thanks to my family and friends who have supported me this season, my partner Jenny Belfield Conlon, my Father for preparing the car between races, race support from David Barrow and Lynn Barrow, and not forgetting my no1 pit board man Joe Barrow. It's been a great season so thanks to you all.

Championship update following rounds 11/12 of the 750mc - Sports Specials Championship. A great result on the Saturday Qualifying meant we started both races from pole. Race 1 led the first few laps with some good laps until an issue with over heating rear brakes resulted in us dropping down to forth at the flag. In race 2 again we started well and led early on until the race 1 winner Andy Hiley took the lead. We went on to finish the race in third our 9th podium finish of the season, after a race long battle with Adrian Cooper. We now head into the final two rounds of the championship at Snerterton on the 5/6th Oct, leading class A and second overall.

Mould was taken down from the racking on Thursday, waxed and filleted, in gel coat Friday, layup Saturday, removed from mould and airbox bonded on Sunday. We now have a new bonnet to replace the one I destroyed at Cadwell park.

With great weather outside we took the opportunity to take some photos of the some of the cars we are currently working on. My old Cyana mx500 in for a re-fresh and set up for its new owner, a lovely Stylus for new front wishbones and uprights, and my race car for a diff re-build and engine mods.

So, a few weeks ago we were approached to build a new Cyana mk2 with Honda power to compete in the 750mc Sports Specials championship. The build has now begun with the arrival of a dummy engine and bell housing, and with the full spec of this new car already planned out, it's going to be one of the best. More updates will be posted over the next few weeks.

So a few weeks ago we had a Cyana mk2 looking a bit of a mess following a pre-season testing incident at Mallory Park. Chassis re-jigged and new front wishbones fitted the race is now on to see if we can get it back on track in time for Pembrey, great job by all and now onto the new builds.

User

Repaired chassis has now been painted, floor refitted and ready to be built but up to rolling stage, then back to the owner for final assembly.

User

Meanwhile! The damaged Mk2 we have had in the workshop for repair, is begining to look like a car again. New front subframe and suspension fabricated and mated to the original chassis. We should see it's return at Cadwell later in the summer.

Another successful weekend in the 750mc Sports Specials championship. 2nd in race one after a mistake at the hairpin with 2 to go, then won the second race after pulling an 8sec gap in 7 laps. The race was red flagged at that point but declared a result. Onwards to Rockingham in 3 weeks time and wishing our fellow competitors a speedy recovery.
