What a fabulous performance of TITUS Andronicus my Mum and I saw on Saturday 26th August very well performed by all! I haven't seen a play in a long time due to the fact that I've been In quite a lot myself thus not having time, so was really looking forward to reuniting myself with Shakespeare and theatre 🎭 can't wait to come back to watch another play!

Went to see Julius Caesar on Friday 25th August with my wife, daughter & son-in-law. What a fantastic evening we had. A brilliant performance by all involved & the setting was just brilliant. There was something truly amazing to watch this play in Stratford-upon-Avon. For Shakesperian novices (like myself), I highly recommend watch one of the short overview videos on YouTube to get an idea of the story line. This really helped me to keep up & I enjoyed it so much more having a framework already in my mind as the play progressed. A superb evening!

Went to see David Edgar’s new adaptation of ‘A Christmas Carol’ Saturday 2nd December. It was a stunning production, which was a joy to watch. Highly recommend to all as a perfect start to your Christmas festivities.

User

We went to see Dickens,A Christmas Carol.

The whole experience was excellent and the play was much more than we could have ever hoped for.

We have been big fans of RSC in Stratford for years. We are always absolutely stunned by the amazing quality of the productions, and I must say Macbeth was no exception. The couple in the leading roles were absolutely amazing, and it will be a memory for years and years...

Because... we're in Stratford Upon Avon watching Doctor Who as Macbeth. After a fantastic performance, the show is over, the actors have gone backstage, and we're about to leave the theatre, Trevor asks me to come with him towards the stage. I thought he was going to show me something, so I was on the lookout for props and what have you, but there, on the stage of the RSC, he goes down on one knee and proposes to me, in Norwegian xxx and apart from knowing I definitely said yes, the rest of that is a bit hazy. I was completely caught off guard, and it was the most amazing feeling xxx I haven't stopped smiling since xxx I know that one of the guards or ushers came and asked if everything was ok, if it had been an emotional performance, and I whispered: he just proposed. After making sure I said yes, she got on the intercom or the little walkie talkie thing and alerted all the other guards and ushers, so now one of our memories Is having received a standing ovation on the Royal Shakespeare Company stage x but as I said, it was a bit hazy at this point...and blurry, because I was crying with joy.

Just wanted to tell you that little story. It was the perfect proposal <3

We celebrated my husband's birthday here in one of their function rooms and everyone agreed it was absolutely brilliant. The room was perfect, food was delicshios, drinks were great, service when planning the party was very professional. J am so happy with y experience here and would definitely recommend it as a special place to celebrate something for a special person!

We all went for the first time to the RSC Stratford upon Avon, (6 in our party) to see Julius Caesar, after about tge first10 mins really started to get into it, it was brilliant so will definitely be going back to see further Shakespeare plays.

User

Titus Andronicus was well acted, but one would always expect that of the RSC. Graphic scenes mean it is not for the faint-hearted, although there were moments of black humour. An impressive experience provided you were not planning to eat in the next hour or so.

The decision to offer tickets to teachers for £10 meant I could afford to see Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra and Titus Andronicus in successive weeks. Each performance was outstanding ans has awakened a new love of Shakespeare. The theatre itself is very impressive, with very friendly staff (took the third visit to get a really enjoyable coffee though!). Best of all, the shop has a variety of child friendly versions that have resulted in my 10 year old daughter falling in love with Romeo and Juliet! Looking forward to many more visits in the future.

User

Standout performance for me was Edward Bennett as Macduff Cried my eyes out in the scene where he discovered his wife and children were dead. Trying not to snivel... of course Christopher Ecclestone was excellent. Great cast!

User

So impressed how wheelchair accessible you are. Great night we will definitely be back.

User

Just watched Macbeth it was amazing

User

Just come out of MacBeth - what an amazing production. The whole cast were fabulous, but Mr Eccleston in particular was powerful and totally mesmerising as the main man. Whoever decided to cast 3 young ladies with evil looking dollies as the witches was inspired. I will be having nightmares for days! Thanks all involved for a truly excellent night out. #cantbeatlivetheatre

I went to see Titus Andromicus on Saturday......never go to the theatre usually....I am a live music lover rock/heavy metal etc, I was totally amazed by this performance and it's realism, a gory, bloody play with so much hate, love, anger and revenge, I was lost for words after the play, enjoying a drink in Stratford I was stood pint in hand and stunned, literally, I am a true convert and cannot wait to see my next play.

User

Excellent production - wish we could bring our sixth formers to see it.

User

Brilliant ! Wonderful telling of a famous story! Excellent casting of Romeo and Juliet. Fantastic acting!

User

Amazing experience. The acting was phenomenal. The stage is situated so you feel you are part of the performance

User

Very concerned that the advert for the Duchess of Malfi in the back of Stratford Macbeth programme lists the author as Christopher Marlowe. JOHN WEBSTER would not be impressed.

User

Really didn’t like the modern take... I went expecting to see classic Shakespeare...
