Wow! My parents have been shopping here since they got married- many moons ago and today for the first time I now understand why. This year has been extremely hard this year for our family, for many reasons. The main one being my mum in hospital - it will be 7weeks tomorrow, my dad has been so immensley strong, going to work in a morning and then going to visit twice a day for hours at time each and every day. Before his visit this morning he decided to get some shopping- he saw his favourite: a turkey crown and decided to treat himself. Once he had collected everything, he went to the till to pay, to have the response of "happy easter, that turkey is free, you won a competition". You will not know how greatful I am of this and our whole family would like to thank you for your kind generosity and wish everyone at Sainsburys a very happy easter - you have made one family very happy at such a hard time. Thank you

The store at Sainsburys amblecote is one of the best stores I have been, I have been to a lot of Sainsburys stores around the country and this Sainsburys is probably the best, the staff are excellent, really friendly staff, always up for a laugh treating you like family not just a customer that’s the difference, excellent

Thanks to the very helpful staff who made my visit today in a wheelchair stress free and easy.

User

Thank you for announcing the two minutes silence today. I was touched at the respect shown by every single customer, including children. The staff are amazing people too.

Sat in the cafe first thing this morning. Coffee in hand. Comfy sofa. Watching the world go by on a Saturday morning. Everyone furiously buzzing about getting their Christmas shopping done. Bliss. Never been in the cafe before. Will go again.

User

I have been shopping at this store since it opened staff very helpful 10 out of 10 And the cafe very good service

User

Can’t knock it, serves a captive audience well.

I just wonder who approved the electronic sign that says “ No access to Kirkstone Way” or whatever it says , because you have to ignore it if you want to go to the Petrol Station !!!

User

Use this store on a regular basis. Never had any problems to be honest. Staff usually friendly. Had the odd time when they haven't. Woman with the crutch is an absolute up her own arse useless rude cow. So avoid her when I go there. Otherwise great.

I have no issues with the store in general but the cafe could be better. The till operator on Sunday was very slow and whilst not rude was not very pleasant. We had to wait nearly 30 minutes for 2 breakfasts. Admittedly another assistant came and explained that there was a delay whilst they were waiting for the bacon but it did seem an overly long wait and I did see another customer get a refund and leave as he had been waiting a while. The food was fine when it did arrive.(apart from the toast which was really just bread that had been passed over the top of the toaster on its way to the plate !) I find the cafes in both Withymoor and Blackheath which I use quite a lot can be very slow.

Why only 3 stars? Well, the store was brilliant. Got my shopping done in record time at 7:00am on Christmas Eve. Then, I decided to treat myself to breakfast in the cafeteria. Oh what a mistake. I ordered a full breakfast. The only warm item on the plate was the fried egg.

I don't appreciate cold bacon or sausage

Such a shame.

Went down 2 sainsburys yesterday at around 9 o'clock 'am' with my 2 year old twin boys. I have done this many times be4 and always there has been a double trolly, there is only 1 or 2 available but 2day there was none therefore I went inside 2 ask but the lady couldn't care less. I was most disappointed WHY isn't there more double trollies u have hundreds of single trollies I'm not the only mom out here with 2 small children who needs 2 shop, 2 is clearly not enough left very angry and went 2 ASDA instead who have loads and the trolly man there was happy 2 sort me 1 out

User

Well we were told when visiting the cafe the wait would be 20 minutes which is fair enough but 40 minutes later still no food and people who ordered after us were getting food absolutly bloody disgusting, which after this time i asked for our money back which they did and gave us a takeaway

User

Clean and tidy, food ok but staff are miserable and not very pleasant, a smile costs nothing

Today my visit to sainsburys withymoor yet again selfish, lazy and this sarcastic man was rude and arrogant....parking in a parent and child space because he "couldn't be bothered" to park further away in a normal space. He thought it was funny he had his elderly mother sat in the car with him and said he could park there as he was her child. Makes me so mad I hope if he has any grandchildren and needs a space one day the tables are turned and he gets the same treatment he gave us. #parentandchildparkingissues

The new car park flows well but people are still coming down the wrong way. It's lucky there hasn't been a serious accident. Please do something about it or obtain a camera and the ability to fine people. This needs to be done asap

User

Just visited no probs with the store but the amount of young people outside the main doors on bikes is a accident waiting to happen !!!!!

I have been a shopper here for as long as the store has been open, unfortunately in the last couple of months, the store has gone from bad to worse. Every week without fail, I can't get about a quarter of the items I go in for. Most weeks I shop about 4-5 pm on a Friday, this week I couldn't get milk, salads, and at least 4 so called special offers, I gave up in the end, and I will do the rest of my shopping at asda. When I ask staff the question, why are the shelves so empty, I get a multitude of bull****, that's if you can interupt them whilst they are gossiping between themselves. I worked for a supermarket chain in various roles for over 24 years, including grocery manager, and if I had a store in this state I would have been disciplined. I will put up with navigating the merry hill, at least I will get a whole weeks shopping, and probably cheaper.

User

I Love it but now it's bad when you got loads of kid riding around on the night and the security don't do nothing I don't think Its safe at night

User

Very disappointed with the cafe... visited today with my friend after having a walk. We thought we would get a drink to cool us down as it's a very hot day. We brought 2 soft drinks and asked for some ice to have with them. We were told that they don't give out ice and that even if they did they haven't got any?!? 1, how can you not have any ice? 2, why do you not provide ice with your soft drink?? Absolutely shocking.
