The Royal Voluntary Service are bringing this great new service to Sandwell...could you be involved?
VOLUNTEER CALL OUT!
We're looking for local people in the Sandwell area with a couple of hours to spare a week. You will support older people with low care needs upon discharge from hospital or nursing home through ‘Home from Hospital’ volunteering.
... There are various areas in Sandwell where you can volunteer, including Oldbury, Rowley, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury and West Bromwich.
You might help with shopping, collecting prescriptions, looking after pets, introducing people to social groups and activities in their local area or just being there when people begin to do things for themselves. If you have specific skills such as IT you can offer help with Skype or online shopping.
Over 1m people in the UK have taken up volunteering in the last year and studies have proven that volunteering is hugely rewarding for both you and the people you support.
If you would like to give it a go, please email us on SandwellSYR@royalvoluntaryservice.or g.uk or call us on 0121 270 1992 . You will also find further details at https://www.royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk/ …/2826-support+lea…
We look forward to hearing from you.
