Lovely place to bring the family, good food are a decent price. Been in for a few hours today, love the barstaff, Jo is a great addition to the team. Always gives a warm welcome & always happy to serve. Can't beat their food on the height street..... Highly recommended ,­¤æŹ

I love eating at the Saracens Head Shirley because good choice of food, well cooked and great staff to serve us.

Had the best new years eve in here , best for past years , staff were working hard all evening and made the night for everyone attending the brilliant disco , dancing and merriment all night and some food put on aswell , faultless

Had a wonderful New Years Eve party, the buffet was great they're was all types of food that should of suited everyone. And thank you to the staff for a lovely time.

Great staff, lovely lady on the bar called Jo, she can't do enough for you. Always gives a warm welcome & makes you feel comfortable. Food is delicious & desserts to die for. I always enjoy coming here & always recommend it to friends & family. Great place with decent prices.

Great pub, the food is always nice and the atmosphere is always comfortable. I was served by a well mannered and friendly lad called dan, definitely recommended

Great friendly staff. Warm and inviting. Always pop in on way home from work & get same service,whether its day or night. Food is excellent. Everything you want in your local pub.

Come here quite regular & always get great food & excellent service. Lovely bright clean pub with a good atmosphere. Ideal place for all the family. Brilliant service from Jo

Came in this afternoon for lunch with friends, nice staff, food was great & i would definitely come again. Thanks to Jo & Naomi for the service, both did an excellent job.

Boxing day lunch time, most tables reserved obviously busy. 5 meals (2 for my other half) plus 4 cokes ┬Ż25. Great price, then we're told an hour wait on food it's expected I suppose.

Then bam our foods out within 15 min . Great food, great service.

Always have a great night, and lunchtime sometimes, here. Management and staff are very friendly and efficient and you are always guaranteed a warm welcome. Food really good. Place really clean and tidy. Would def recommended.

We had great evening and lovely meals last night. We especially went to The Saracens Head to watch the football and try out your menu - enjoyed both!

Just one complaint we have is about a member of the bar staff who was rude - Adam - he served a pint of beer to my boyfriend, but there were lipstick marks on the glass; when my boyfriend asked for the drink to be replaced because of this, Adam decides to pour the beer from the dirty glass into a fresh glass; so obviously he was asked if we could have a freshly poured pint from the tap and Adam proceeded to shout "it's the same beer" - he was rude about it and could not understand the point that the beer would not be the same if not pored straight out of the tap; my boyfriend even offered to pay for both pints of beer! Adam reluctantly poured a new drink in the end. Think the bar staff should understand how a drink should be served and also how to treat their customers and not be rude!

We had a very nice time, we hadn't been there in a long time so was good to go, worth a visit if you haven't been before

The service was good staff friendly but food on the skillet left a nasty burnt taste in the mouth not the first time they need a good a good scrub. Should have had the fish and chips like the wife

We went for a family meal yesterday all was fine until desert as I ordered a lemon meringue finger the problem was there was no meringue on the top very dissatisfied

Spent almost ┬Ż25 for meals that came out barely warm and without my side order of chips. I went to the bar and asked about my chips and I was told they would sort it. My chips never came so we asked for a refund and asked the member of staff if they could tell the kitchen staff to make sure food is at least warm when serving it to people. The place wasn't even busy! Won't be returning!

I think this place needs to retrain their chefs. This isn't the first time we've had to send our meals back. I ordered a chicken fillet burger and my partner ordered a rare rib eye steak. The burger came out burnt on 1 side as well as the bun. The steak came out medium well. Now there was no problem sending it back but when my burger came back you could obviously tell the chef had just changed the bun. The steak came back fine. I understand that they are cooked on the grill and are obviously going to have grill lines but not to the extent it was.

On the plus side the foh staff are lovely. I didn't eat mine in the end, 1 of the floor staff came to see what was wrong and she kindly took my meal off the bill.

Saracens head please sort your chefs out.

Was there sat service was great there was 23 of us 1 meal wrong steak the gamin was so salty couldnŌĆÖt eat it but diserpointed

Terrible service. Food went cold really quick, chicken wings you could have put in your sock, they were dry, hard and inedible. Corn on cob was cold and hard. Ordered cheesy garlic bread but got soft bread with hard cheese on top that was hardly melted. Ordered a bitter shandy and it had a funny cleaning solution aftertaste. Kids running round screaming and shouting. All in all an absolute shambles. Was gonna complain but the 4 members of staff looked as fed up as me. Will not be going again ever .. Stay away
