I taught Rosie to ‚Äėplay dead‚Äô because she spent half of her life in that position anyway. Why not put it on cue?
Now I use it to make people laugh and also to help deter the false stigma of dangerous breeds... but the most surprising thing was when I found out how useful it could be. On a trip to the Vets to get Rosie’s spay stitches removed, the vet asked me to hold her down whilst he removed them.

Today Zero and I played Sheepball next to the road. This did two things, it helped to distract from the cars and it also provided an outlet for Zero to be a collie! Collies were bred as herding dogs, it is genetically in their nature to round up. Sometimes exposing a herding dog to constant chasing (ie: ball launcher) can cause an overload of stress - ‚Äúoh no, the sheep is escaping again!‚ÄĚ In this little game we avoid the chase but allow a round up! My Rottweiler is such a bully, honestly. She waits for him to fetch the ball, she then lies down, stalks and pounces when he gets close. He is so non-confrontational that he avoids eye contact with her and eventually drops the ball.

When dog trainers are working on changing an association via behaviour modification, we use something called sub-threshold. This is the point at which the dog is exposed to their trigger but is still just about able to think logically and make the right decision rather than react. If they react, they are over threshold and no training can be done. ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™Ôł Ź I‚Äôve been working with Zero for just over 3 weeks now and when he came to me he would bark, lunge and spin at any ...car no matter how far in the distance. We are currently roadside. ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™ÔłŹ‚Ė™Ôł Ź This video is a perfect example of me exposing Zero to his trigger (cars) JUST sub-threshold. I‚Äôm walking a very fine line here, but it‚Äôs important to make progress and then give him a break in between where I add distance and some nose work games to promote calmness. In the video you see Zero consider reacting and then change his mind several times. As I said, a very fine line. I will be working at this level and under until I feel he‚Äôs calm enough to progress.

Sarah was my last hope Lenny was an aggressive possessive dog and kept guarding everything from a Christmas bauble the sofa and even his own sick I had took him the vets and didn’t know where to turn to next then I found Sarah who came round to see me and Lenny for a consultation Sarah gave us some tips and we practised until her next visit.Lenny was a stubborn old dog then Sarah said we should try the touch command rewarding Lenny when he did it I am happy to say Lenny has stopped guarding most things and when he does using the routine Sarah showed us he stops guarding.. We are still training with Sarah and she is so helpful and Lenny loves his time spent with her we now have a happy household rather than an apprehensive one I would recommend Sarah to anybody that has any issues with their dog or even just want their dogs walked she is amazing

Sarah was dog sitter to my two dogs for over two years from the beginning of her setting up her business here in Baldock, Hertfordshire to the end when she sadly had to relocate to Tamworth.

I would like to give Sarah the ultimate best reference for the service she provided for me and my dogs.

She is not only completely reliable but also most competent and confident. After we had undergone some thoughtful and careful introduction to my Rescue German Shepherd Dog who has quite serious issues due to a dubious past I was impressed with the way Sarah handled this initially difficult dog.

Over the two years Sarah made many visits to my dogs when I was out for a day, away for two days or even once for a week. On my return I always found everything in perfect order and all requests carried out to my satisfaction.

Furthermore, Sarah always sent me a picture of my dogs when she visited and frequently communicated with me in order to give me the reassurance that all was well at home. Sarah is sadly missed and difficult to replace.

Sarah recently did some cat sitting for my mom whilst she was away over Christmas. She made the whole process very straightforward, which meant that my mom was able to rest assured that the cats were being looked after and concentrate on enjoying her holiday.



One of the cats needed to be given some medicine daily, which Sarah was confident in doing and again this meant less worry for my mom.



It was also reassuring to have someone visiting the house while they were away.



The cats were well looked after and happy and my mom wouldn't hesitate in using Sarah's services again or recommending her to others.

Sarah is simply amazing. I have a 5yr old dog that was a chronic chaser - cars, planes, birds, squirrels, cyclists... you name it, he’s chased it - and he wasn’t food orientated. I’d resulted to avoiding as much as possible by walking him at obscene times away from everything. Then along came Sarah! With walk and train within a few weeks Sarah has got Zee to a point that he can be by the side of a road with minimal to no reaction while he accepts food... two things I never dreamed could happen. I could never thank her enough and would recommend her to everyone.

Sarah is relaxed, flexible and has an obvious love for all things dog. Our mental collie Meg, who isn't the easiest dog in the world, loves her, which is all you can ask for in a dog walker.x

Sarah is our fairy dog walker. Our beagle, Bertie LOVES Sarah. We are so thankful that we found her as we established a new routine and a change in job meant Bertie was retired as the chief quality assurance pup in the office. Sarah has been extremely flexible with additional dog walks and home visits to help us in the adjustment and always there to offer training advice.



We love getting regular updates via text and Instagram, it's clear the dogs are well looked after and ridiculously happy. The daily walkies squad is enviable and makes being in the office rather rubbish at times. A real testament to Sarah is that despite being a beagle, Bertie is very well behaved with her for off lead walks, and he only does that for me and no one else in the family!

Sarah has been an important part of Brenton's life since we got him as a puppy. She came to our house to discuss our needs and then did lunchtime home visits daily until I went on maternity leave. I would get daily text updates and Instagram posts.

Sarah clearly cares about the needs of all her dogs, as when she had a dog with her who didn't like staying in the van, she asked if she could bring them into the garden to play with Brenton who loves being with other dogs - all the dogs were winners on those days!

Since the baby, Brenton has joined group walks when I can't do a walk and we sometimes join the group when I can, also to socialise him.

Most recently we have been doing 1:1 training with Sarah, as Brenton's love of dogs isn't great when you're wearing a baby bjorn and he's bolted across a park! We are seeing great results and one of the nicest parts of training is seeing Brenton's joy when Sarah comes into the room. He clearly loves her as much as she loves him!

My husband has been working away, and between the children, work and running a busy household it has been a massive weight of my shoulders to have Sarah helping me out. The dogs love her, and instantly she made me feel at ease. She's reliable, friendly and trustworthy and I would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone that is in need of a dog walker/pet sitter!!

Sarah has been amazing with River, and even though River isn't able to participate in group walks due to her temperament around some other dogs, Sarah has been great in trialling this for us. Sarah did a first consultation with us to address some of my concerns of our dogs behaviour in the house - general jumping at people especially children and jumping on furniture too. I think it was my own knowledge that needed some help on what to do with a happy but slightly boisterous German Shepherd puppy who loves everyone!

Having had one session so far I can say that it is invaluable! She no longer jumps on the furniture - although we're still working on her not jumping up at people and being calmer when she visits family too but it's a good start!



If you're thinking of doing something like this for your dog, but think it's quite expensive to justify and you'll work out what to do yourself? Don't wait! Honestly it is money well spent and you'll learn so much about yourself and your own behaviours towards your dog as much as you will about what your dog needs and expects from you.



I've learned so much about our Molly and I now know exactly what to do in certain situations and know how to clearly tell her what I expect her to do - and she's responded so quickly - she's so keen to learn!

Sarah and Ollie have been marvellous with Hunni and she appears to enjoy her walks with them and Bowser. They are extremely helpful and very nice people, I would highly recommend them.

Sam had his last walk and train session today, we meet Sarah and the gorgeous Rosie for playtime.... Sarah taught me how to introduce Sam to other dogs, without having the barking and getting my shoulder pulled out of it's joint!!!!! Sam had a great time playing with Rosie...he looked so happy. Our 4 month old has completed 6 weeks at puppy class and I cannot recommend these classes enough! We learnt how to teach basic commands using positive reinforcement and it’s also a fantastic way to get your pups used to being around other dogs. It is official ' I love Sarah!'. It is my favourite time of the day when I hear the key in the front door as I know Sarah is here to take me on a walk with my pals. Enjoyed the class - small enough numbers for one to one and time to demonstrate and then ‚Äėhave a go‚Äô at the techniques, with time to practice. Due to circumstances in life I was unable to give my boy Messi the training he needed as a pup & the older he got & stronger he got the harder going out on walks with him had become. Instead of being enjoyable it had become stressful for both Messi & myself. I'd tried various trainers but the way they reacted to my boy Messi I didn't like. Sarah was my last hope Lenny was an aggressive possessive dog and kept guarding everything from a Christmas bauble the sofa and even his own sick I had took him the vets and didn’t know where to turn to next then I found Sarah who came round to see me and Lenny for a consultation Sarah gave us some tips and we practised until her next visit.Lenny was a stubborn old dog then Sarah said we should try the touch command rewarding Lenny when he did it I am happy to say Lenny has stopped guarding most things and when he does using the routine Sarah showed us he stops guarding.. Sarah recently did some cat sitting for my mom whilst she was away over Christmas. She made the whole process very straightforward, which meant that my mom was able to rest assured that the cats were being looked after and concentrate on enjoying her holiday.



One of the cats needed to be given some medicine daily, which Sarah was confident in doing and again this meant less worry for my mom.



It was also reassuring to have someone visiting the house while they were away.

Sarah is simply amazing. I have a 5yr old dog that was a chronic chaser - cars, planes, birds, squirrels, cyclists... you name it, he’s chased it - and he wasn’t food orientated. I’d resulted to avoiding as much as possible by walking him at obscene times away from everything. Then along came Sarah! With walk and train within a few weeks Sarah has got Zee to a point that he can be by the side of a road with minimal to no reaction while he accepts food... two things I never dreamed could happen. I could never thank her enough and would recommend her to everyone.

Sarah is relaxed, flexible and has an obvious love for all things dog. Our mental collie Meg, who isn't the easiest dog in the world, loves her, which is all you can ask for in a dog walker.x

Sarah has been an important part of Brenton's life since we got him as a puppy. She came to our house to discuss our needs and then did lunchtime home visits daily until I went on maternity leave. I would get daily text updates and Instagram posts.
