What a dreamy place! Our hen party enjoyed the surroundings, the luxury and all the little touches that made our weekend one to remember... would highly reccommend FOR A big group and our host Ian couldn't do enough for us! And as for the neighbours... well goats, cows and chooks what a great way to start the day... get booked in for a magical stay 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We hired the site exclusively for my Sisters Hen Do and it was perfect! The Yurts are beautifully set out, lovely and warm aswell as cosy!! The Hot Tubs and Sauna are fab too! Thankyou for everything!

We had a wonderful time for my hen weekend. A really magical place. Everyone loved it and will definately go back!! The owners could not do enough for us and the little touches and treats made everything feel extra special.

We chose Secret Cloud at Cauldon for the venue for my daughters hen weekend in July, way back in the depths of winter 2017, their site looked like everything we wanted for a girly weekend of celebrating away from bars and nightlife, roll on six months and arriving at Secret Cloud was everything we had hoped for! The setting, the yurts, facilities is as described we were met by the lovely Natasha who gave us a very comprehensive rout of the facilities and showed us the beautiful yurts, everything was just perfect as our group arrived and the fairy lights came on we knew this was where we meant to be!



From booking to arriving and dealing with Catherine her responses have been informative and helpful with advice on local eateries and advice she was very helpful. It’s a beautiful place book it!

We arrived at the site at 15:00 on

Friday 16th March to be given a very warm welcome and a big smile from Catherine.

She asked how our journey was and asked if we found the written instructions accurate to find the site (which they were).

Catherine asked if we needed any help to bring our luggage across from the car park to the yurt, she then gave us a very detailed tour of the site and last of all she took us back to our Yurt and spent time explaining how to use all the inside/outside equipment.

At the end Catherine asked again if we had any questions and made sure we were happy! She said if there was any issue at all to ask her while she was on site or to ring her at anytime.

The fire was lit and said she would be back to light the hot tub which she did.

There was a welcome pack and breakfast for the next day 6 local sausages,6 local eggs, 6 rashers of bacon and some milk that was in the kitchen area in the fridge which had your yurt name on the shelf.

Catherine came back a while later to make sure we were ok and that the hot tub was reaching temperture (which it was). She asked if we also wanted the sauna set up and informed us that we could use and set it up any time and the instructions were there.

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic, nothing was to much trouble the site was set in a beautiful location and the surrounding locations are very picturesque that were ideal for walking and driving.

We did have very heavy snow and winds the worse they have seen for a long while Catherine made sure we had extra supplies of fuel etc.

On Sunday when we got up the lane out of the site had snow drifts of approx two feet or more and we were worried about how we were going to get out of the lane and home.

Catherine and her Husband came round and informed us that we would be able to check out later and leave approx 12 pm as her brother was going to bring the tractor and clear the lane for us to drive out. Catherine's brother cleared the lane and further afield to make sure we would be alright on the roads. He then came back and escorted us down the lane to make sure we got out ok.

This whole experience is one of the best that we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing and they should be very proud of their wonderful family run business.

This place is amazing!! We had the best weekend for a hen do, the yurts are amazing with comfy beds and essentials. The communal area is perfect and the hot tubs were amazing!! I would highly recommend!!!

Thank you Cathrine! We've just got back from a 2 night stay and we loved it! Exactly what we needed and came back so relaxed. We both enjoyed a full body massage with Natasha at shepherds rest which was fantastic. Can't wait to come back! Can't recommend enough.

Such an amazing place to stay! Peaceful and right in the country side! Ian was very attentive and always came to see if we was okay, he even got involved and took our pictures for us! Hot tubs and hospitality was great! I loved how it was catered for everyone! Perfect for hen do’s, birthdays or a relaxing weekend away. We had a fab weekend and the hen do and my birthday was made extra special! If you want a fun weekend or a relaxing weekend away under the stars then this is the place for you! I would deffinately stay here again, I absolutely loved it!

Spent two nights here with my mum and sisters as a treat for my mums 60th birthday. We stayed in the Foxglove yurt. We arrived in hail storms and rain but once we got inside the yurt the weather outside was soon forgotten as it was so warm and cosy!

It is decorated beautifully and the log burner is amazing! Despite the cold weather we were never cold inside at all. Ian made sure we had good supplies of logs to keep warm and cosy.

The whole site is immaculately clean, Catherine and Ian are so helpful and friendly. The washrooms are clean with the most amazing showers and flushing loos! Every detail has been thought about, and Catherine and Ian want to know all the time if there are any thoughts guess have to continually strive to make it even better (we don’t have any, it’s perfect already!)

The hot tub is amazing, the sauna is lovely, and we would highly recommend booking in for a massage with Natasha. We all did and felt more relaxed than we have for ages.

The site is in a great location for walks, country pubs and wandering round the shops in Leek and Ashbourne (car needed to get to these places). Loved the animals in the next field too.

A chilled and happy break away from the daily grind. Thank you! �

My partner and I had the best 3 night stay here this week. It was made extra special as we got engaged! One of the most romantic settings we have been in and we loved a night time soak in the hot tub under the stars. We had a very warm welcome and everything was perfect, so much attention to detail. I was spoilt by my bridesmaids and hens to a henfest weekend here in July. The venue was idyllic, it was everything you could wish for from a glamping site. Clean and modern shower and toilet facility, super comfy beds. Friendly owner who accommodated our every need. Thank you so much for the perfect weekend with my girls I think I speak on behalf of all of us memories, were made that we will never forget.

I exclusively hired the secret cloud yurts for my 30th birthday. We had THE BEST TIME! The owners of the yurts were so accommodating and helpful! My friends hired wine tasting and caterers (all recommended) and it was incredible. I would highly recommend visiting the Secret Cloud Holiday locations. I will definitely be exclusively hiring again for a special occasion. An enormous thank you to all of the staff to making the weekend extra special!
