SAD NEWS
Judy Davies wife of Mr Shifnal Town Glyn Davies, has sadly passed away last week, after being diagnosed with cancer a while ago. Our thoughts are with Glyn and his family Tracy and Paul. Without Judy's support Glyn woudn't of been able to devote so many many hours to the football club since it was founded in 1964.... I remember Judy mainly at Admirals Park helping out alot, I remember mostly her running the refreshments hut on match days, which was very successful.

Shifnal Town 2 - 2 Shawbury Utd
I think it is fair to say that we did not start the game well and found ourselves under constant pressure for a good 30 minutes of the first half. The red cards (given to the wrong players according to quite a few?) were an ugly distraction, but didn’t effect the tempo of the game. After conceding I thought we finally woke up and started applying pressure ourselves, resulting in a neat finish by Ben Osei just before the interval.
The players w...ere honest with themselves at half time and a slight tweak to how we should approach the game saw us more forward thinking in the second half. A fantastic strike by Harrison Barrett put us 2-1 up and I thought we had a good spell for around 25 mins. Shawbury created several chances (Jake James was fantastic in goal) and it was soul destroying to concede a penalty in the last seconds of the game (no blame on the player - he had to challenge).
Overall, disappointed with the first half, really happy with how they got back into it in the second half and a point on the board looks better than none.
Mark Simpson Manager.
