Went to see Mamma Mia Weds 1/08 at 14:00. The staff were helpful and polite, the seating was very comfortable and the film was fantastic. I enjoyed the whole experience.

I never buy sweets and drinks as they are very expensive, but that doesn't bother me, I eat before I set out šŸ˜ƒ

Went to Showcase Coventry to watch a flashback screening of The Big Lebowski, I even dressed as the Dude himself (minus the White Russians and a micturated upon rug).

The cinema staff were very friendly and spoke to me about my outfit and seemed really into their movies.

The cinema itself was first class, very posh! We were in one of the smaller screens and it was luxurious. The seats recline and I felt so comfy, like watching a film at home.

The quality of the projection and sound were both top notch. I have been disappointed by so many cinemas and the actual quality of the movie experience, but Showcase Coventry did not let me down.

Above all else I was impressed by how dark it was in the screening. There were only discreet lights at the sides of the room and no annoying lights in the middle of the room reflecting on my glasses. It was revelatory!

Best cinema experience Iā€™ve had in many years, would recommend to anyone!

Wish the did an unlimited card!

We havenā€™t been to The Showcase cinema at Coventry for a while as it isnā€™t our nearest cinema - what a fabulous experience. The seats were out of this world - so comfortable and with a moveable footrest it added a different dimension. Everywhere was spotless and we were greeted on reception/pay desk by a very friendly lady who made us feel special. We didnā€™t buy any refreshments- perhaps next time

This place is amazing , only my second time here .

Everyone was so helpful, just one thing let it down when we went in , we could have just walked in.

No one was there to stop you going in for free, but saying that we had a fantastic day there for my wife's 40th birthday.

Coming back for sure šŸ–’

Just went to a Flashback screening of 'Sprited Away' great way to watch an old favourite. Would love to see more of these Flashback screenings great excuse to go to the cinema and enjoy the really comfortable seats. Friendly and helpful staff always

Had trouble booking through the app and website ( wouldnā€™t accept meerkat codes) so called through and they booked everything for me over the phone and advised my tickets would be at the box office waiting for us when we got there ... fantastic customer service

5 mins before start of show .and the place had not been cleaned. Seat were coved in popcorn, popcorn all over the floor. So then it was a rush to get to seats before start of show .!!!!

I have visited the cinema now on at least seven occasions. I wouldnā€™t go anywhere else. Lovely comfy seats and helpful chatty staff. I usually go to a matinee and always had a lovely experience. Iā€™ve only marked down one star as I went in the evening, the film was delayed, after 20 odd minutes a staff member came in and stated the film would start shortly.......and it did, no adverts, no previews or anything. That is part of the experience, so disappointing.

User

Brilliant for comfort and not bad pricing if you donā€™t buy their sweets n stuff... only thing I would say against the place is the volumes far too loud, it actually hurts your ears at times. Ear plugs next time ! ļæ½ but the best cinema around these parts for sure ļæ½

The chap on the front till was really polite, friendly and helpful when I was buying my ticket so was a pleasant introduction to the establishment.

When I bought my drink and hotdog I noticed afterwards that it would have been cheaper to purchase the meal. The attendant never offered me the meal package and when I explained that it would have been cheaper he just shrugged his shoulders.

The cinema room was clean and well presented and the staff were waiting, ready to clean it, as soon as the film had finished which was pleasant to see.

All in all, not bad.

Saw Mamma Mia last night in Screen 13. A few minor criticisms which is unusual as have been here a number of times previously. The lights weren't dimmed enough as the film started and the sound was a little too low. Great film and seats were as good as always. Unfortunately, the lights were turned up again while the credits were running and before the closing song had ended which wasn't great. Whoever was running the film needs some training on how to operate lights and sound properly ļæ½

I give it 3 stars just because there were that many people waiting too be served for drinks etc and not enough staff on hand too speed the process up so i had too go with nothing as i would of missed the film. The Cinema was a sellout for Avengers Infinity War so i expected more staff for that amount of people no drink for 2+ hours was horrible.

A young worker called olivia was shouted at as she did not have a til to work on. Then was palmed off onto a pix ā€˜nā€™ mix stand. Where as the manager had said. ā€˜Shove her on cleaning dutiesā€™. But the other man had insisted that she was placed on the stall. Other customers infront of me had also picked up on the negative attitude leading to 1 muttering. ā€˜ if someone spoke to me like that. I would thump them 1ā€™. I want to say a Thankyou to her for continuing to smile and serve me with great customer service skills.

Another person i would like to thank is a man called Luke who served me around 2ish. He has previously dealt with a difficult and angry customer but dealt with the situation quickly and didnt let it get in the way of his work.

Thankyou for serving me today and i hope to be back soon.

What happened on the Dam Busters Special Event Night. Well donā€™t ask the Manager, she didnā€™t know anything about it. No Special Presentation, before a highly priced, but great film, that we could have all watched on Netflix. And it took her so long to make a decision about reimbursement, that most costumers just left in disgust. The plush recliner seats dint make for a one time Special Event last night. The 1 hour live video link didnā€™t happen, with no explanation either before, during or even after the film....Showcase you should look at at better trading for managerial staff clearly out of their depth when it comes to Customer Relations !

What a joke!

I have just tried twice to book on line for the Black Panther, 12.35pm screening.

Each time my money had been immediately taken from my account but I have had no tickets allocated - I got an Error message each time. That's Ā£42.40 of my money you now have - with no tickets!

I then decided to phone to book - 13p per minute plus network charges!!! This is prohibitive in the extreme for phone bookings but your website doesn't work so there would appear to be no other option. I immediately put the phone down - goodness knows how long it would take to book by phone, with no guarantee of a booking at the end.

I would appreciate the full refund of Ā£42.40 immediately and will be booking another cinema in the area instead. Taking up to 3 days to refund is unacceptable - the funds should not have been taken at all.

Please also be assured this will be the last time I will attempt to use your cinema chain.

Went today to see the Avengers and it was like a complete WAR ZONE. No parking spaces and the access to the other side fenced off and Gipsy/Travellers going around and around in the car park causing chaos. The security guards there were just standing their laughing at people while allowing those idiots wheel spin around the carpark and blocking the lanes without even helping with any traffic control. After being stuck in the car park for over 30 min we manged to escape and went home.

Went to see Mama Mia yesterday. Looked forward to it all week, found our seats early and getting ready to sing. As the lights a go down, a man sits next to me with a family sized box of popcorn and proceeds to rustle and munch his way through the box for next hour and half, until I could stand it no longer and walked out. So angry and upset..

As the films start, a message comes up asking you to turn off your phones, respect other theatre goers by not talking, yet, the theatre sells POPCORN...the noisest thing to eat in a cinema..WHY???????

User

Received terrible response from a ā€œmanagerā€ in regards to my comments on a baby crying throughout the new avengers film and her response was that we should of contacted a member of staff during the movie... as I paid for the film I donā€™t think itā€™s my job to get someone during the film to single a family out, pretty sure they have a duty to monitor the cinemas but regardless it was a awful response with huge lack of customer service skills, for example shouting over the reception area to a senior manager and drawing attention to us. Bad experience, great facility but bad staff...

User

Not happy with the manger having double standards. On one side of kiosk the staff were selling ice blasters and on the other side staff were being told by the manger not to sell them as the machine was broken.

The machine was working fine we tested it out by filling our soft drink cups with them.

When manger was questioned about this, he got very irrated.
