Showcase Dudley

We held our daughters 6th birthday party here, and I was very impressed with the organisation of the event. Our hostess was very accommodating and took care of our every need. The room was a good size and the food was delicious! I would throughly recommend holding a birthday party here.

Myself and my partner went to see infinity war yesterday. Staff were fantastic, booking was easy. Everything was great until the movie started and we had to endure 2 hours of children shouting, crying and generally just causing a nuisance. Ruined the movie and the experience sadly. Probably going to have to go again at a much later showing just so I can hear what's going on

I went to the cinema yesterday afternoon at 2pm (on a weekday) to see a film I've really been looking forward to. I chose the day and time so it would be nice and quiet there as I was going on my own. I was pleased to be able to pick my favourite seat - top row next to the stairs - so that I would be able to have a great view and also stretch my legs (I'm tall and have a painful knee problem to need to be able to move my leg a lot to stop the discomfort). When I entered the cinema screen I could see there were only about 10 or 15 people in the place, which was great as I hate croded places. However, as I made my way up the steps to the top I could see there was someone already sitting in my seat!! So, with ticket in hand, I politely said to the group of 3 people that they were in the seat that I had booked.... they just said that they were sitting there because they couldn't get into the "Gallery" area as the lift was broken, then they asked if I was on my own and said I could just sit in the empty seat next to them then!! How Rude!! The whole cinema was practically empty and they had taken the seat that I had booked but they would not move! Disgraceful behaviour! As I did not wish to sit with a group of random strangers, who were already rude towards me, and I also did not want to make a scene or have an argument, I went and sat in the next row down (potentially in someone else's seat??) and made myself as comfortable as possible without the extra leg room. However, during the entire film the group of 3 behind me continued to talk the whole time and completely ruined the movie for me!

Very annoyed and disappointed by my experience on this occasion!

I am a regular customer at Dudley and on the whole the cinema is fine and the staff are friendly and approachable, however staff really need to monitor the behaviour of some customers, on the last three visits people using have mobile phones the during the film and has ruined the experience. My last visit was Tuesday to see the Darkest Hour, I was looking forward to seeing this film so much, however one customer was constantly on their mobile (for the duration of the film) either watching YouTube or using social media, it was totally unnecessary and completely distracting (if the film is boring you, leave and wait in the foyer), it really spoilt the film for me it’s completely rude and ignorant to do this once the film has started and something really needs to be done to stop it !!
