A big thanks to Debbie from Gowling WLG who volunteered yesterday in our drop in. Along with our regular volunteers, the corporate volunteers enable us to deliver great food twice a day, serving around 240 meals a day. Thanks again! x

Its up and official! You may have heard that we were awarded this prestigious blue plaque from the Civic Society as a result of being nominated by the pupils of Chandos Primary School, Highgate. We're so very proud that our efforts have been recognised. It means a lot!

As the main day centre facility in Birmingham supporting over 160 vulnerable individuals each day, we simply couldn't do it without our supporters help. Thanks to Colmore Business District who partnered with us over the last few years. They've organised numerous fundraising events from quizzes to skydives, but they've also raised awareness of the issues of homelessness in our city. We're really grateful for your support!

It's been another busy week here at SIFA Fireside. Thank you to all our loyal supports and volunteers. We couldn't do what we do with you! A special mention to our corporate volunteers from Secure Trust who popped in to lend us a helping hand today.

Many thanks to Iwona at SF who has been an absolute star in helping me with a client (also a client of SF) who has been victim of human trafficking/modern slavery. Her help has been wonderful to get legal proceedings off the ground.

I had the opportunity to be at SF last Monday at 9am, when their homeless clients were starting to come in for the morning drop-in session. The atmosphere was warm, positive and uplifting; no doubt, all the homeless people I had the opportunity to see, were very happy to be there. Incredible work, the world needs more people like you guys!

User

I was so surprised how bright and clean it was. It totally changed my perception of homeless shelters in the most positive way.

User

I volunteered yesterday at SIFA Fireside and I can honestly say it was the most humbling experience. The other volunteers there put so much effort in to provide some of the basic things in life we all take for granted. Marie, I think you are fantastic and keep up the good work all! Hopefully see you again soon.
