Sobar is the best place in Birmingham for sure I will not go anywhere else especially on a Friday ! Fame Friday's is the place to be
Sobar is a brilliant place to be, weekdays they have 2 4 1 on cocktails, the cocktails are so good they have a wide selection on the list. The staff are pleasant and friendly. Weekends sobar is the place to be, me and my friends always come here and we are guaranteed to have a great night out....
Rocking nite at Sobar
Will recommend to all
Great staff...Excellent night out with lovely atmosphere
Great place for music and dance friendly staff
Keep it going guys
Great music, great crowd, great atmosphere and a great night! Callum sorted out the guest list and was awesome on the night
Great crowd and music! Lovely hosts and bar staff! Best Friday night out in Birmingham ❤️
Good atmosphere, good music, good vibes
Friendly staff, drinks reasonably priced. Ideal for sitting in the sun and people watching.
FAME Fridays has to be the best Friday night in Birmingham, also Saturdays are banging! Cheap drinks good music and a good crowd!
Best nightclub in Birmingham with the best dj's and an amazing vibe. Definitely the place to be on a weekend
Been to this venue a few times. Im more of a raver, I'm not really a tables and bottles club kinda girl but I absolutely love the vibe in here. It's not pretentious which is nice. The staff are polite and the door men are friendly. I'm not sure who was dj'ing last night but I loved the techno music they were playing (29/1/16) but it was an amazing change to the usual style of music that's usually played in this type of club. I didn't stop dancing all night and had one of the best nights of my life! Thanks sobar! Will definitely be back :)
Amazing two for one cocktails every day!!! If you want a good night then sobar is the place to go ❤️
Friendly staff but £6 for a glass of sparkling water & a glass of lemonade with a shot of lime silly prices for soft drinks.
Not a fan. Went with a varied age range group as part of a leaving do. Got told to move as the seating area as being partitioned off for VIP’s. No-where else for anyone else to sit. Pretty much all of the seating area remained empty for the remainder of the night (apart from an ice bucket and few champagne glasses collecting dust!) worked out there were a minimum of 8 booths, each could sit approx 12 people, a bottle of champagne between a group of 12 people works out as peanuts paid per person, these groups were not likely to pay out for anything else (except maybe a fluorescent cocktail for two) as it’s a place more for taking selfies and checking in rather than actually having fun!! Our group consisted of about 10-12 people, most of us over the age of 30 therefore we had more financial flexibility and were willing to spend this at the bar and if there had been the option to sit down we would’ve spent more money. Whilst I accept that places like are looking for a specific crowd to come through their doors surely they need to pull in the cash too ... doubt very much we will return but then again I doubt we will be missed ............. the music was great though ......
Way too protencious for me wouldnt let me in with trainers and t shirt considering other people were in there with the same clothing clearly if the face dont fit seems that kinda place i have been many years ago with the old management and never had any problems getting in looks like another bar to strike off the list as clearly they have no sense of fashion ill stick to eden bar where the GAYS are welcome because clearly i am not here collar is not fashion i think you need to restructure your dress code and educate yourself in relaxed fashion as this is the future and all bars in birminghan have no issues i could understand if they were running shoes but thanks for the refusal i wont be returning to this venue i will spend my money elsewhere
This is a heads up for anyone wanting to go to this place check on the dress code as refusal definatly offends
I wouldn't touch this place with a selfie stick.
I was in a que with a group of mixed race men, who were denied entry to the club, but I was allowed. I then said to the security guard that the man who was next to me was with me so he should be allowed in next. however the security guard looked at me and said ‘its only people on the guest list allowed’ to which I said well I’m not on the guest list and he continued to say it doesn’t matter and let me in. However the young man next to me was still denied entry although we were both NOT on the guest list. I was so upset about this as I didn’t think Sobar was still so behind time. I will not be attending here again as I am shocked at the treatment of other people, I think it is disgusting in this day and age. People should not be treated different for the colour of their skin!
Feel like I was defrauded gave them £10 for a £3 Budweiser only given £2 back, be careful of the crafty bar staff
