Students at GCSE need to know and remember a lot more formulas than they did under the A*-G system. Regardless of which exam board your child is sitting Maths with, why not get them to put the poster below on the lock screen of their phone. It may not be the coolest thing to be seen with, but possibly the wisest😉

Now taking bookings for the academic year 2019/20. If you think you may need additional support for your GCSE or A Level then please get in touch. Places last year were pretty well full by early June so if you’re looking for that extra bit of help, now is the time to have a chat about booking in for next year.

March 2019 Puzzle Number 21 Here’s one of the easiest yet! The answer to last months was “no” (the probability is actually 37.5%😄)

After a few enquires, I’m pleased to say that I will be offering GCSE intensive revision classes during the Easter and Whitsun holidays. These were really popular last year and the feedback from students who attended was very complimentary. I’ll be sorting out the exact details of the timings in the next few days and should be able to publish a final programme towards the end of next week. It’s only January but it’s important to know in advance when your exams are😄The links below give the dates of examinations for AQA and Edexcel which are the two most popular examination boards. GCSE results will be in schools on Thursday 22nd August and, if possible,my advice to parents would be to avoid being away on holiday at that time if you can. The reason for this is that many schools with Sixth Forms now carry out their enrolment for year 12 on results day and while it...’s not the end of the world if you can’t be there, it can cause a few difficulties if you are not. A Level results will be in schools the week before, on the 15th August, with the same advice, try not to be away, especially if you are holding a university offer through UCAS.
