I am now a stockist for Albion saddles. My first one has now arrived, the hugely popular K2 GP in black , Mediun wide fitting, RRP £1'799.00. They are now coming as standard with Adjusta trees, giving some room for adjustment in the front width fittings. I will be building stocks up gradually, and can also order their leatherwork and accessories. Some more short term demo models coming soon, details to follow............ Away for a week. Just to keep you all posted, I am going over to the other side of the water tomorrow for a weeks course on saddles and fitting. Looking forward to bringing lots of knowledge back . Information For Saddle Fitting Enquiries
When getting in touch about saddle fittings here are the relavant details that are really important for me to know , so it saves time if as much as possible can be put down in your initial contact email . -Your name, address, phone number(s) (including a mobile ) and address where horse is kept. Also what facilities are available. -Horse details, size, shape, breed, age, even a pic as well if you want!... - Is horse fit, well, and in a normal amount of work? - who is main rider, and a rough height and weight. Also what is their level of experience. - Are you having any problems, or is it just a routine check? - What saddle are you currently using, type and make if known. - If you are in need of a different saddle to your current one, what type and colour are you looking for.
From this info I can then build an accurate picture of your needs and save a lot of questions later on! x x x

No more sussex fittings. To my loyal Sussex customers, I am afraid the time has now come that I am unable to carry on coming over and doing a days fitting on the mainland. Buisness is now getting busy here on the island, and Little James is now walking, climbing and into everything! He is a real joy but I need to be based here more to be able to look after him. Thankyou all so much for your continued support in the last couple of years, and please dont hesitate to get in touch if you need a local reccomendation.

Charges..... Thought I would put out a message with my basic charges all laid out now I am getting slowly back into the swing of things. I am now charging a flat hourly rate , one for my mainland customers and one for people on the island. An hour is usually enough time for a normal appointment, but obviously if much under/over an hour rate will proportionally be more or less. This fee includes any adjustments done on site in this time; any adjustments that need to come back... to the workshop will be discussed and quoted for seperately. Any new gullet bars for adjustable saddles will also be charged seperately. Rates: Island customers :£60 per hour Mainland customers : £80 per hour. Hope this makes sense! Any questions just ask.

A bit of an update from me after some months of silence! Introducing Baby James, born on 2nd April. As he is now nearing 8 months I am just starting to slowly get back into some kind of working rhythm. As we are now based on the Isle of wight, will be mostly operating here, but am starting to be able to come over and see some existing customers on the mainland, particularly any of my Kieffer customers, as there is no other Kieffer stockist for quite some distance so will definately try to keep them going. Repairs/alterations are now an option, but as long as time pressure is not too great, as have my hands pretty full with little one! An update for those I have not seen recently, I am starting my maternity leave in next week or so, just finishing up last few repairs and saddle fits, then will slow down as baby is due early April. We are also in the process of a move over to the Isle of Wight. We Have moved!! still in a bit of chaos for a few days but getting there. New address is Storrington rd, Thakeham , RH20 3NA. very close to Rydon college; because of roadworks on main rd going into Storrington the easy way is to turn off the A24 by the Charonnay Restaurant and come in via Rock Rd . Still on course for our move at the end of the month, slight change of venue, still Storrington though; will publiscise it as soon as possible.
