CHRISTMAS DAY Welcome Lord Jesus, there is room in my heart for thee. We pray for those who do not know that You love them and came to be their Saviour.

Special treat tonight at midnight mass… Today is the 200th anniversary of the first singing of the carol Silent night. It was performed in Austria and set the guitar because the organ pipes weren’t working due to the interference of a hungry mouse… Tonight, we have sung by an Austrian gentleman on the guitar in German accompanied by our choir. It will be during communion and it will be a real treat Hope to see you there!

A beautiful Crib Service at 2pm was followed by our Christingle at 4pm. We made a circle of light around the Church with candles. Around 550 people have worshipped here today at these two Services. We are looking forward to seeing lots more of you tonight for our Eucharist Service at 11.30 pm. God bless.

The following link refers to the consultation on the proposed admission arrangements for a primary school place at St Bartholomew’s CE Primary for September 2020. The website explains how school places are allocated and what happens if there are more applications than places available. This information may be of interest to parents of prospective pupils and equally, for the community around St Bart's who may be interested in the admission arrangements for the school. For example (but not in this case) a school may be looking to increase the admission number so neighbours may wish to explain that this would cause too much extra traffic/be a hazard/make parking difficult. This information is to make you aware of the proposed arrangements and to provide an opportunity to make any comments by 31 January when the consultation will end.
