The Eucharist is at the centre of our worshipping life and it is celebrated with the richness and solemnity which appeals to all the senses.
The Family Mass at 10. 15am on Sundays is the main gathering for the parish community. Music is a mixture of traditional and modern and the Eucharist is offered with full Catholic ceremonial.
The children meet in the Church Hall for the first part of the service and join the congregation during the offertory.

The Feast of The Presentation of the Lord on Sunday 2nd February was celebrated in style and enthusiasm at St Chad's. It was a wonderful celebration and act of worship that introduced a new Mass Setting, included a very inspiring address from our celebrant for the day; Canon Doug Chaplin and concluded with a very moving procession by Candlelight around the church. Some members of the congregation thought they were at Our Lady's Shrine in Walsingham! " The candles invite us t...o praise and to pray, When Christmass greets Easter on Candlemass day. The glory dawn's in every dark place. The Light of Christ, the fullness of grace."
During coffee we celebrated the milestone birthday of a very young looking 90 year old Chris Clelford. Happy birthday !!

Me and My Baby courses at St Chad's....
St Chad's were so blessed today to welcome back Canon Darren Smith as the president of our parish Mass. It was great to see him back in Coseley. As always, Fr. Darren didn't disappoint. His love for God, his love for the church and his love for the people of God shone through his most inspiring address. He did this through a personal perspective , as a son of a fisherman himself, how appropriate and wonderful and relevant to today's gospel! We, as a parish in vacancy have been so blessed with the varied ministry and words of encouragement from so many priests. So, today Fr Darren, thank you so much, from us in Coseley. Your ministry is so much appreciated!
Thanks to all who came along to the Quiz tonight. Great turnout! Thanks to those who worked behind the scenes. An incredible £344.00 was raised. What a brilliant start to 2020! Thank you !
Candlemass at St Chad's.....
The Knit and Natter group have been at it again 😉 The group, along with help from members of Sedgley Townswomen's Guild and St Chad's Brownies families have collated their latest handiwork of 223 hats, 62 blankets and 14 cardigans to go to neo natal units at local hospitals. Thank you to all who have helped and donated!

Today we celebrated the Feast of the Holy Family. Thank you to Father Gary Hartill for his ministry to us. His black country humour just hit the spot with all. All smiles again from the congregation during his address. His message of the importance of family came across perfectly. However, we get the impression, 'e bay that boffered abaugt too much terkey'! Jesting apart, thank you Father, St Chad's hope you will come back soon !

Midnight Mass. Lovely prayerful and peaceful atmosphere. Another thought provoking address from Father Darren. Perfect way to welcome the Christ Child.
Full church tonight at the Christingle Service. Great atmosphere and lots of very excited children joining in the service with Tom and Harry's POP up Nativity! Quite a few excited grown ups too. A great opportunity in this service to sing , laugh and have some fun together whilst sharing the message of the birth of Jesus and raise funds for and share an update on the work of The Children's Society. Our departing message: 'Show me the way to shine for Jesus.... Let my love light up this Christmass!'
