The St Julian Inn is a very large and friendly pub which sits alongside the river Usk on the main road from Newport through Caerleon.

The St Julian Inn is a very large and friendly pub which sits alongside the river Usk on the main road from Newport through Caerleon.
As well as our large wrap around internal bar, we also have a balcony and lots of outdoor tables spread around our gardens and lawns from which you can admire the views over the river as you relax and enjoy your drink.
Over the years we have built a good reputation for hospitality which enhances our fine food and drink. With a large crowd of regulars, the St Julian is regularly used for a variety of informal celebrations. We also have a small skittle alley available which caters for a number of additional events.
Our excellent selection of Beers, Wines and Spirits satisfies most tastes and we are very well known for our real ales, having received a number of CAMRA awards over the years and been listed in the National Good Beer Guide for the last 20 years.
So come and enjoy a traditional pub with real Welsh Hospitality.

... Rokgrass is a hillbilly/rockabilly style band consisting of hillbilly brothers, Will, Lee and Stefan, who try to bring life to many classic songs the audience may well know but certainly not in their style.
For example think Motorhead, The Wurzels & Deliverance meets George Formby and you'd be half way there....yyyyyyeeeehhhaaaa.

We had a small surprise birthday party for my sister lovely buffet you could dress the down stairs room how you wanted children had fun and great views down the Usk lovely time
We (extended family of 7), stopped there on our journey to Pembrokeshire and again on our way home. Dog/child friendly, good food and excellent service. The apple pie was best I've tasted!

Lovely local pub, good beer and food, great atmosphere, great staff , summer nights on the balcony superb. And the landlord is OK too.
I have been a regular at the Jules for about 8 years. It not only has the best views but also the best publicans,bar and kitchen staff I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We have booked numerous functions and the food is stunning! When Wales are playing it's the place to be, with great friends, a gorgeous curry and chips on the house and a fantastic atmosphere! Thankyou to everyone for all your hard work XXX
Great pub. Views over the river (best enjoyed at high tide) from covered balcony area at back. Simple pub grub reasonably priced (curry recommended) Pool table, dart board, big TV showing sports. Plenty of seats. Divided into 4 separate(ish) areas. Skittle alley in basement. Always good selection of real ales. Dog friendly.
Great pub great staff always polite and smiling and helpful. The views are great from the pub looking over the river usk into caerleon the food is worthy of any award if entering any competition. A great place to relax
