Starting Gate Beefeater

Went today with a friend ordered off saver menu. Food was lovely :-) and great value! Loved it. Thanks to the two waitresses great customer service and very friendly. We will be back. X

Unsure of the waiters name, but this evening myself and a large group of my family (20+) were served by a young man. Although we had waited a long time for our food, and had a few issues throughout the night his service was brilliant and tried everything he could to rectify the issues (unlike the manager I must say.)! Such a nice lad, thankyou �

My family and I have been going here for meals for as long as I can remember and this time was just as good as the rest, well worth the 115mile trip I now make for family meals.

Food was amazing as always and our waitress Claire was great, knew her job inside out and actually had time for us and to actually talk to us like normal people :) steak was cooked to perfection and everything came in a timely fashion.

Definitely recommend to anyone and I will continue to travel down to enjoy :)

Lovely friendly staff. My husband's steak was not cooked right and as soon as they noticed they couldn't of been more helpful. They insisted on redoing both of our orders as said they wanted us to enjoy our meal together, even though I had eaten half of my steak.

Excellent customer service other resteraunt could learn from them. The lovely welsh frmale Manager even tried to refuse our tip as steak was wrong, and then thanked us and insisted she would pass it on to the team. Highly recommend

I hadn't been to the beefeater for ages because of bad reviews however I went the other week and it was amazing definitely recommend!! The food was amazing nothing to much trouble so friendly and helpful!! A special thanks to Josh Wells for the lovely food!! Definitely be back x

Had a lovely meal this evening for a family members birthday, staff friendly and our waitress Laura was fantastic she went out of her way to make our experience lovely and was brilliant with my 3 year old little boy xx

The evening food was very nice and tasty and the service came with a smile too, the breakfast wasn't so good, it came out lukewarm and the bacon had been sat for so long it had turned to rubber. However all in all a decent place and would return.

Not sure we would rush back Beefeater are not anywhere near as good as they were it’s not only the starting gate have been to other and they are hit and miss the best one by far is the one Redditch Bordesley Lane

Long wait had to go and ask for some one to take are order food was good but again had to ask for pudding menu no one cleared the plates and gave up waiting for some one to take pudding order ask for the bill to be told that they had problems with the till when it did arrive we had to find some one to take payment not enough staff and the ones that was working did not seem to want to know

After booking online a table for 7.30pm on arriving at 7.25 we were made to wait 15mins before being shown to a table, ordered food which we waited for for over half an hour only to find it was cooked incorrectly, the only good thing was we had a lovely waitress- Ellie.Think more staff are needed and maybe think about a new chef!!

Went today for my mums birthday i asked for my steak medium rare it came over cooked hard and chewy.. my sons was supposed to ve well done and came rare.. our starter was edible just about with about 5 prawns an a dribble of sauce ..

My son ordered the donuts an they came and they where rock solid.. the sauce was bitter.. very very disappointed an will not be returning.. shame the standards have dropped so much since we last came...

I ordered lamb on a corn beef and potatoe slice with Malbec sauce, pickeled red onion and thyme and steam fresh broccoli! What I got offered was lamb a choice of dauphinois potatoes or chips and broccoli really£15.99. Very disappointing I will avoid Beefeaters in the future as they can’t supply what they advertise.

Had the lobster stack was so tough got tiered trying to chew this is not a patch on Worcester and the worse beefeater I've used could here people complaining about food and service at other tables

These waiters/ waitresses need to wake up. They don’t even know what day it is let alone trust them to take my order. We had a messed up bill, wrong order, “chef” if that’s what you want to call him/her needed 3 attempts to cook a poached egg, over an hour wait for food and to top it off spent most my night with my face down the toilet throwing the crap back up. Tip of the day for you, get your front or house team retrained, SACK THE CHEF who was on last night as he or she made me very ill and possibly some new management and you may have half a chance at succeeding. Kind regards....

over 2 hours waiting for our food. several orders were wrong and we were told they would be replaced but all they did was scrap the mayo/burger sauce off the burgers and put the burger in upside down to hide the remaining evidence. Steak was asked to be cooked medium but came out like a charcoal block..this was replaced but this time is was rare( running with blood). we would of saved a lot of money and had better meals and service if we'd gone to a Wetherspoons. out of the 13 meals we had issues with 6 of them but we did get a refund off our bill for some of these but not all of them. save your money and go elsewhere.

Food arrived and was over and under cooked, every time I tried to get the attention of the staff for drinks refills or to tell them that the food was poor they wouldn’t even make eye contact! No table check was done on the main meal ..... I don’t think I’ve ever had a steak that started off well done at one end and rare at the other



Then to top it all off when the bill arrived of £138 I put the money on the plate and the girl serving asked me if I wanted my change?????.... I’m always keen to tip but I tip on quality of service .... avoid this place at all costs you won’t be happy

I was served a stone cold chicken burger this evening. The meat was chilled/refrigerated throughout. The manager assured me that all meat is cooked from fresh but how can this be when the chicken I was served was white throughout but stone cold. We've been eating here for years and the food is always hit and miss, and more often than not cold. I'm beginning to think that most dishes are in fact microwaved.

At 18.56 I ordered food,at 19.35 I went to the bar to ask where's my order...... Claire H took my receipt and went out of sight..... Came back with my food saying oh someone took it off the screen and passed it to me. Having to take my own food to table . It was under lights so long the egg was hard and the rare steak, wasn't!!!!!! Apparently no sorry was needed !!!! Oh and at £7.20 for a glass of wine ...... Rip off merchants
