We have just moved to the area and have been going to the plume.breakfast is the best we have had. As a breakfast chef myself i am always comparing but cant find fault here.we have also had carvery and have enjoyed that just as much. The staff have been very nice each time we have been here. Brought our friends from wigan there yesterday we had food and a drink. They were very impressed with food and prices. We now class this as our local.

User

Visited on a busy Friday lunch time. Ordered Pizza. Very tasty and well presented. Salad bar was well stocked and all nice and fresh. Carvery looked good too. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definately recommend.

User

Took my family out for a spot of lunch here and I have to say the carvery for the children was amazing as both plates where finished. I had the calzone and I have to say it was the most amazing, tasting calzone I have ever had. The filling was plenty full. The staff could not do enough for the children. Would give them 10 stars but only go to 5. We will be back.

User

I haven't been here for about 2 years, the reason being that before the renovation, the place had become very shabby inside and out, and the food was nothing special! Yesterday I decided to try it for Sunday Carvery with two friends, and I was really impressed with everything! Well done, I will be visiting again, soon. Thank you.

User

I had a carvery and I enjoyed it very much. Friendly service by Steve for our food and drinks. We had very polite service from the carvery staff when getting my carvery and Jo gave brilliant service when bring over our starters and even helping split the bill between three peoole. The manager Chris greeted everyone and showed you around the new layout of the pub.

The new decor is lovely and I couldn't fault anything will be back again.

User

I don't like carverys but here I'll do, its not just a roast dinner, you can get fish or a pie with help yourself hot vegetables or a salad and how many places can you get a meal and a drink for 2 people under £20, and their breakfasts are great too.

User

Came for Fathers Day for the first time but will definitely be returning. The carvery was hot and fresh with lots of choice including mash and mushy peas my idea of bliss! We were a large party and everybody cleared their plates. The pizzas and burgers looked amazing might have that next time. Had coconut milk sorbet for dessert a very generous portion of creamy sorbet with the flavour and texture of a top of the range ice cream. Absolutely delighted and cant wait to go back

User

After a lovely night out I couldnвАЩt think of anything worse then getting up early and cooking a full English.... We visited for the first time and the service was lovely and people were polite.. Food was good and it was nice and clean. For ¬£10 for x2 Adults and x1 Child you cannot go wrong.. what gets me with some reviews people moan about this and that but i bet you they ate all that was on their plates пњљ.. If your hungry then please head down for a breakkie..

User

Just come back from a meal here. 7 of us. Food lovely, I had pizza, very nice. Desserts massive & enjoyable. Decor very nice & it has been the first time here since refurbishment. Bar staff where we ordered food really nice & helpful. However I could not say the same for the waiter serving. It was busy but he wasn't very pleasant at all & seems a bit abrupt! Shame really!!!

User

Came for breakfast this morning and it was very nice! food was very hot which is nice not to have to rush back to your table and eat it before it goes cold like in another certain carvery. My only criticisms are *having to pay extra for mushrooms (?) *chips don't belong on a breakfast! And *I had to ask about my order of pancakes for my son which they had forgotten. But other then that, great value for money. Will definitely be back for breakie soon

User

Eaten here quite a few times & the last 3 we have been disappointed! Today was the final straw, took hubby for Father's Day. Table booked for 4:30, get there & find our table has been taken (we were 10 mins early!) not a problem as it wasn't busy. Asked 1 of the servers for a kids menu, rude response of "it should be on your table!" I know that & if there was 1 I wouldn't have needed to ask, he rifled through some paper/activity sheets & found 1, I then asked if we could have some paper/activity sheet for my 3 year old only to be given a filthy look & a sigh, then told "well we have no crayons" luckily I always carry some with me!! We then order food, chicken nuggets, 1 regular carvery, 1 large carvery & a bottle of wine, as I walk away from the bar I notice a sign advertising a free pint on Father's Day with a large carvery, so I go back to the bar to ask, no problem free pint given. Now we wait 40 minutes for chicken nuggets, I could have gone home, cooked them & come back in that time! Hubby goes up to get his carvery to find there is no pork, they ran out at 4, sorry but why?? Also he asked for a large carvery so he could have more meat but was told no, what you actually get is an extra Yorkshire pudding & a sausage, well I saw at least 3 people ask for an extra yorkie with their standard so we are paying extra for a sausage!!!!!!! I then go up & the server disappears to get more turkey, then we have to wait a good 5 mins for them to bring out more veg to be told "oh sorry it's chance over" the veg is brought out & slammed down in front of us. I have never met such rude people & although this restaurant is just round the corner from us I will in future drive further to go to our nearest Toby carvery

User

Went here for a bite to eat , someone had said it was new , very Busy yesterday afternoon ,struggled to get a table . There are lots Of staff but I queued for a long time to order, the children had starters which were average ( they got a part of it wrong ) My husband and I had beef burgers with spicy topping and they were awful, my meat was pale and not

At all juicy рЯЩИ

And like cardboard , I didn't eat the buns or the salad and the chips were .. Help yourself off the carvery .. they were dry and no vinegar available , we had to ask for that too ! So all in all Not a Great meal, too busy , tables not cleared and considering its newish it looked very shabby and old .. sorry рЯШҐ

We won't be going back , manger tried to explain a new burger menu is coming soon.. not good enough

We were regulars here. It has just re-opened as a refurbished Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery. Prices have increased but quality hasn't. When it was a Crown it was what it was. A cheap carvery that was OK. My partner tried a pizza and was not impressed. The turkey meat was very dry. They have lost a lot of seating and in doing so do rest of the seating seems claustrophobic. It has only been open a week and it does seem that staff are still trying to find there feet. Was not given a ticket for the carvery my partner went back up the busy bar to get one and staff said didn't need one use receipt. When I got to the carvery said I need a ticket. Luckily bloke knew I was regular and served me so I didn't have to go back to the bar again. My partner was also given a pager the second time for his pizza to notify when ready. Going back with the others in our group who not been yet but if they not like it we will change our venue.

User

We have been there several times before u had your refurbishment and liked it very much but last night was a let down it was my moms 75th birthday me and my brother and sister came a distant to go there as it's close to were our mom lives we waited a time for our pizzas and we're told they were burnt and had to be redone so waited even longer my sister complained and was given free deserts my mom does go there regularly

Thanks jenny

Visited the revamped "Plume of Feathers" yesterday with my family for a Carvery and found the experience extremely disappointing. The prices had increased by 33%, there appeared to be less seating, the bulk of which was now tables of more than 4 people, so we struggled to find a table, the original Carvery serving area was now given over to a Pizza area which gave the appearance of a Victorian Urinal, and, finally, there were NO Yorkshire puddings or Turkey available. We have been visiting the Carvery regularly on a Monday for several years now but, after this disappointing experience, we will probably find somewhere else!

User

Visited several times in past and was lovely but visited yesterday for a birthday meal.12 of us waited for an hour to be served to be told pizzas had been burnt, carvery was nice but others had burgers which were burnt .Complained and were reluctantly offered free desserts.Preferred the old place .

User

Probably the worst Sunday carvery I've ever had. The menu boasts an "extra large roast with sausage as an extra but I was told by the extremely rude "chef" (who basically just cuts the meat for you whilst chatting to his pals).... "no sausage left mate" No apology, nothing.

He also told me he couldn't serve me without my meal ticket which I wasn't informed of on ordering. The "gravy" was just a dish of Luke warm onions in slop. The pork crackling was cold, hard and dry, like it had been left there for hours. They also need to look up the definition of "extra large Yorkshire pudding"!

Whilst waiting for my meal another front of house staff member was shouting at a customer to "sit down or you're out"!

Terrible experience. Wouldn't eat here again if it was the last place left in Birmingham

I was with a service user and it was her Birthday and she choice Plume & Feathers. I did remind her we visited it last year for her birthday and found it wasn't very good but we went as that was her wish found once in there was only about 7 people which I didn't mind we had seating of choice we walked over to het our food chief was clearly very hot as he was standing away from food counter to try and cool down. Meal got and found plates were warm which was good but that was about all . Veg meat and patatoes were bearly warm think plate was hotter that meal. I only had abit when lad came to take plates I expected him to ask was meal ok but he didn't. My service user ate all hers which I expected as that's the norm. Will defenenly not be going back again.пњљ
