Went for a carvery yesterday around 6 o'clock the food was amazing every thing was fresh and plenty of choice.

The staff and management were really friendly. The manager let my very young grandson eat for free that was so kind of him. Mind u he made more mess than ate it. I asked for a cloth and dustpan and brush to clean up. And thd member of staff said no paid to do it. Bless him I did leave as clean as possible. Carnt wait for our next visit. Good price as well

We went on a Saturday evening and it was busy as we expected. However, we were tucking into a delicious carvery and vegetarian quesadilla within twenty minutes! Excellent value for money and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Only one little thing, so glad we were sitting near a window as it got very hot!

Definitely will be back. Thanks guys.

Visited last night and have only small criticism and that's the bar is a bit on the slow side, but everything else was excellent we had the carvery with very tasty meats pork beef and gammon all the veg was perfectly cooked a very satisfying meal, my son had the pizza and he ate every last slice which is an approval all of its own. Overall great friendly staff and good service. And excellent value for money One thing that I'm very impressed with is my bug bear dirty tables but not here the tables are constantly cleared sprayed wiped and the chairs placed back around the table top marks for cleanliness.

Brilliant palce to go for food, the staff are lovely very friendly, the food is delicious and hot and you dont have to wait a long time to be served i will definitely be coming back, big thank you to all the lovely staff and manager at The White Swan, your all doing a fab job at keeping us customers happy � x

Food was great and very friendly chef lady who served us. Good portions and freshly stocked veg. Only criticism would be the staff behind the bar were bit slow and not very attentive. Overall nice place.

The carvery food was really nice.

The service was awful though. Not the most helpful at all except for the young male chef. The female chef kept walking past me and the lad as we were waiting for our carvery and was also moaning about other people.

Food is really good at the weekend, but took my kids on a Friday night and food was rubbish, all hard and stiff, probably been sat there since the afternoon and service wasn’t good either, but have been here many times before and was much better so wouldn’t stop me returning as first bad meal We’ve had there

All the veg was undercooked they were all hard. Some of the staff were very friendly whilst others it seemed couldn't be bothered. Our deserts were virtually thrown at us with no verbal exchange at all. We've always loved this place but gone down hill since refurb

My husband and I was there this weekend and witness some unprofessional behaviour from a member of staff. There was a table with three ladies on but the seats they chose were by the side door which were open, after them trying to close the doors they kept blowing open again so they gave up. On the next table there was an elderly couple they also found the doors being open cold so they asked a male member of staff to close the doors which he did for them. Within minutes a female staff member reopened the doors leaving the elderly couple to leave without finishing their drinks.

Got seated at a table that felt like it was falling a part moved to another table and the chairs are just as bad

Also you wait ages to be served at bar and all the turkey had gone by 630 when it's a carvery

Won't go there again

Arrived at about 12.30. Surprised only about 4 tables occupied with diners as used to be busy at this time. Only one member of staff serving at bar which wouldn't normally be an issue but member of staff seemed flustered as a couple of small groups followed me to bar whilst other staff weren't to be seen. On a plus note the carvery (once chef decided to turn up after being called twice) was reasonable. Fresh hot veg were being brought out whilst meat was being carved.



I wouldn't recommend paying a visit to the ladies. All cubicles need attending to asap. Either there was no toilet seat or it was literally hanging off by a tread and two of the toilets had paper in the toilet right to the brim. I was hoping to mention to member of staff at bar but was rushed off her feet serving. Apparently the gents weren't much better either.

food prep was appalling over cooked and cold I asked for the chef to cook fresh sausages for my children the face on it was a picture and her mannerism was disgraceful would never use this again top marks for your ice cream the only thing that we could stomach needs a lot of attention towards the staff and food maybe you will get more custom

Would not rate this carvery, went in this afternoon with my family, the carvery was just about edible, my son did eat his pizza but I felt as it was not cooked properly. Would not recommend this place to anyone .

Whst a dump !!! And the food is a load if rubbish .

Dirty table's no staff at the bar had to wait ages to be served! People walked out because they got sick of waiting for someone to serve them !! Also someone at the bar complaining about the food as well !! Wouldn't waste my time or money going here again !!

What a joke from start to finish. We had carvery when I ask to have pork and beef the beef was that bad I would t even feed it my dog none of the food had any taste it was stocking I didn’t think it could of got any waste. Then me and grandad went up the bar to order pudding the manager walked away from us we waited 55 mins for our pudding asking 3 member of staff why we waiting this long then we was told that they will bring all pudding together, they came out one by one which was a joke specially when they were they were cold (apple pie and custard) shame I have it a star because I’ll rather not give it any the place is a joke, rude staff never again

The food was ok! It was a carvry and it met the requirements of a carvry! As for the bar staff, I have never come across such rude ignorant and dam right unprofessional, when the staff member on the receipt said Carol, who insisted ignoring customers and serving her mates and locals and blaintly ignoring other customers, then so small pit bull, of what her name is I don’t know or care decided to tell me of her troubles and woes of short staff, well if you are cutting your staff back that far it effects your customers experience, then may be you want to think about locking the doors? Giving the whole place a clean just a general one would help, not a deep one And maybe a member of the cleaning team in the toilets. Then two days of teaching your team the art of customer service, and remind them the customer spends the money their money contributes to their wage!

Tables were full of empty plates didn't know what to do,if we were seated or just helped ourselves

Meat was very dry and very poor portion of meat given

Yorkshire puds were the aunt Bessie frozen small ones

Cauliflower cheese had like a teaspoon of cheese on

Serving area was dirty Yorkshire puds on the floor

There was some sort of meat pie it was dried up

Service was very slow

Gravy,there was 3 bowls didn't know if one was beef,veg or chicken etc

Sauce bowls were empty and dirty mustard mixed in with the mint sauce

Over priced unorganised and awful food not a patch on Toby will not be returning.

Have complained to the Head Office, as the food was very sub-standard, there was only 1 choice of meat, and the mashed potato looked like it was yesterdays as it was hard and crusty, and the gravy had a thick layer of skin on it. Absolutely disgusting. I had my daughter and 2 grandchildren with me for a treat. I regulary go there, but will not be going there again. The service was very poor as well, did not clear our table.

Apparantly it was training night. Didn't see the small notice on the bar till on the way out. It explained the staff trying to take the drinks before we finished and whipping the menus off our table. Not much meat left. Couldn't find anymustards or any other sauces. Wouldn't ever go back !!!!!
