The first Osteopathic college was established in the UK in 1917 by John Martin Littlejohn, a Scot who had studied under Andrew Taylor Still. Littlejohn altered the Osteopathic curriculum to include the study of physiology. The UK school he founded, the British School of Osteopathy, was the first Osteopathic education institution outside the USA, and it still exists today, now located in Borough High Street, Southwark. British Osteopaths use manipulative techniques based on the philosophy of Andrew Taylor Still. The profession is subject to statutory regulation following the passing of the Osteopaths Act in 1993. The General Osteopathic Council, (GOsC) was established by the act to regulate the profession.

Peter's here today. Peter was brought up in Stourbridge and following a rugby injury while at school, his parents took him to an Osteopath for treatment. It worked, and he decided to follow it as a career path. After an intensive four year degree course in London he qualified and was awarded his degree in 1986 by HRH Princess Anne. He is also a qualified acupuncturist. Peter has now had more than thirty years of successful practice at his Stourbridge clinic and comes highly recommended - see our reviews for details.

They're like flipping MIRACLE WORKERS!!! Ladies, I had back pain from late in my pregnancy through to labour. I thought the pain would go away once my baby was gone, but NOPE. Stayed there, being a nuisance, until I had enough.



I'm breastfeeding, so didn't want any medication - I just wanted my back back in alignment and working properly again! I was recommended by a friend to go see Peter Rees at the Stourbridge osteopathic clinic and MY GOD HE FIXED MY 15 MONTHS OF BACK PAIN IN 2 SESSIONS ­¤ś«­¤ś«­¤ś«.

It's GONE! Like, GONE. And to top it all off, these weren't like hour long bs treatments, it was very quick, and spa like. A good massage and then he was able to click my back into place in like 3, pain relieving, fantastic moves.

I was recently involved in a car crash. Rea has really come to my rescue - my back pain has eased dramatically and my well being signficantly improved. I am over the moon with the treatment and service.

I was in absolute agony with a muscle spasm and was able to get an appointment the same day. Ree was wonderful, really professional but warm and kind, helped me to feel at ease despite mega nerves due to the pain! By the night time I had massively increased range of movement. Super impressed!!

I visited Tamille with my 3 week old daughter for crainial osteopathy. She made us feel welcome and confident in her, as a practitioner. Following her assessment and treatment, my daughter has breast fed well and her tummy appears more comfortable! We will be returning next week for further treatment ŌØż

Peter was correct in thinking this might clear up within a week by being careful and I was able to cancel my follow up appointment. Peter puts you at ease, is professional and gets straight to the point. I would recommend the clinic to anyone.

I cannot thank tamille enough for her help with my baby. He is literally like a different child.

His entry into the world was fairly traumatic and had been very unsettled, colicky and wouldnŌĆÖt sleep without laying on me.

Since visiting tamille I have a happy baby that no longer screams in pain with wind, that sleeps happily in his cot most of the night and is generally happy and relaxed.

If only more parents were aware how much cranial osteopathy could help.

Had bad shoulder for months two visits to see Ree and the improvement has been fantastic........Absolutely brilliant

After suffering Sciatica for 13 years following a difficult pregnancy, I never thought I would be pain free. Three weeks into treatment and I am just that. I have a very manual job in horticulture which means alot of lifting, kneel and bending, I was in constant pain. I am amazed and absolutely thrilled to bits with what Peter has achieved in such a short space of time, I can not recommend him enough! Exceptionally friendly, welcoming staff, with very magic hands.
