We are currently looking for a new team member on a part time basis with flexibility to cover any days and times Monday to Saturday. Good Customer service and working within a small team are essential requirements. Cafe experience not a necessity but advantageous. I cannot guarantee the amount of hours or which days it will be as it is on a as and when required basis. If you are interested please contact us. Thanks Tracey

What a lovely place. We first went with a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea with my parents. Great homemade sandwiches, huge fresh scones (I don't usually like scones but these were really lovely) with plenty of jam and clotted cream. Then a huge piece of cake to take home. Love the odd tables and chairs and unmatched teacups and saucers and tea cosy over the teapot, just lovely. Then I took my husband there for a lunch. I had quiche and salad, just how I like it. Definitely go again, maybe for their lunchtime special pie. The staff are very friendly too

Well what can I say. Went today for lunch and had cheese and onion quiche and salad it was absolutely beautiful! It's so nice to fine genuine HOMEMADE food! Well done Tracey and all of your girls! Will see you again soon.

We came to you today for Afternoon tea, Lovely food and a good Selection, we had to take our Slices of Cake, home we were that Full, we will come back again, Many thanks.

We came in today after being recommended by a friend. It certainly lived up to expectations. We had the most lovely Panini and salad ! Will definitely be back again and will try the afternoon tea ! Love the little touches like the tea cosies ! Very impressed. Thank you .

Very olde world looking but spotlessly clean in every way. The range of food and drinks is magnificent from a simple black coffee as I had to the sophisticated coffees preferred by many. The food is very high quality too and you can have everything from biscuits right through small cakes, jacket potatoes, hot meals up to a full size cake.

The staff were extremely polite at all times and service was quick and efficient. I particularly liked the fact that the young lady serving me always responded with "You're welcome" after I had thanked her for bringing part of my meal.

Burton market hall is a great asset and a visit to Summerhouse Bakery is a must for every visitor.

Today I had my Baby Shower at the Bakery. It was perfect! The cake I ordered was amazing, exactly what I asked for. The staff couldn't do enough for me or any of my 17 guests. The table was set out beautifully with vases of flowers, baby shower decorations and lovely vintage crockery with pink napkins. We all had afternoon cream tea with cupcakes that were decorated with pink baby shower toppings. The sandwiches were served on vintage stands and there was a variety of fillings to chose from, all were lovely. The scones were huge accompanied with pots of cream and jam. Everything was perfect. I can't speak highly enough of this place or the staff. Thank you so much for making the day so enjoyable.

The staff are always polite and efficient, the tables have lovely table cloths, the place is spotless and the wide range of food from breakfast, dinners, and a large choice of home baked cakes is always prefect. Also a good selection of drinks. Something to suit all.

I love going there and don't go as often as I'd like.

Really nice place, I have been a couple of times and have been satisfied with the service and food every time. Friendly atmosphere and perfect place to have a quick lunch.

Really enjoyed our breakfast today & it was made 100% better as you do dairy free items which means my grandson can be treated too.

I visit here most Saturday's with a disabled lady in a wheelchair, we get great service and enjoy our cream tea, I tell all my service users and there family as there is space for the wheel chairs and lovely staff and of course great cake x

I go to this place every week with my mum. The boss & the staff are so lovely & the food is amazing!!! Last week I went as usual with mum & it was packed due to a kids magician on in market hall, we stood waiting for a table & the boss did no more than got extra tables set up specially!..... Nothing too much trouble! You're missing a little hid away diamond if you don't go!!

Had lunch there during a xmas shopping spree. The food was lovely and the staff are so helpful and welcoming. My tea was served in a teapot with cosy and china cup and saucer and milk jug. Really enjoyed it. Will be going back for more very soon xxx

Had breakfast this morning . The full English was way too much for me to eat and l hate waste so my friend Helen and l had two Poached eggs on toast cooked to perfection . Market hall cafe . You can't fault it .

Brilliant cafe,We have been regulars here from day one and really enjoy the great choice of cakes & sarnies that they do,also they always make a fuss of our 4 year old and that is a sign that the shop is family run and not run by a franchise..☕

Absolutely beautiful food, a great range of cakes.

We contacted the Summerhouse bakery in advance to enquire about our son who is lactose intolerant.

They had dairy and gluten free brownies available which tasted incredible.

The prices are great and quality is not skimped on. It is clear why this cafe is so busy and the staff are lovely too.

Great cakes and tea. You get a large tea pot and plenty of milk. Have been when it's mega busy recently and had to wait too long in my opinion, but on the whole service is good.

Didn’t the bacon was hard and black the egg was hard too the staff didn’t seam to care they didn’t seam to in joy there job either which is a shame I work in kitchen and I know it’s nice to be happy even if your having a bad day
