A massive thank you and well done to these two legends for representing SFPT at Renegade strongman last weekend. You are amazing 😎💪🏻
So many things to love about strongman. The best part for me is the way it makes you push yourself to do more. Everyone competing wants to see you do well and is willing you to succeed every lift. A great atmosphere, cracking people and the feeling of achievement at the end is well earned with sweat and tears.
You should check out one of these events, either to compete or spectate. You won’t be sorry.

Now the festive season is over and life is getting back to normal, a lot of conversation turns towards New Years resolutions.
I am a fan of starting the year setting new goals and pushing myself to achieve them. The holiday period gives me time to think about my goals and how I am going to overcome the obstacles that will stop me getting where I want to be.
Be careful though. Just putting a quickly thought of goal into place, under the illusion that you HAVE to have a New Years resolution in place by the 1st Jan isn’t the best way. Be sure to set achievable, realistic goals and have a plan of execution.

... Leah is our first endurance athlete with experience in some of the most prestigious events in the competitive running calendar. This includes the world famous and highly regarded Marathon des Sables. A six day, 251 km (156mi) ultra marathon, which is approximately the distance of 6 marathons. This multi day race is held every year in the South Sahara Desert, Morocco. It has been called the hardest foot race on earth.
Looking to take your running to the next level or compete in endurance events. Leah has been there and done it and is on hand to share with you details on preparation and lessons learned.
If you are a beginner or new to the idea of running as part of a healthy lifestyle, Leah will be able to give you advice on where to start, apparel and equipment worth purchasing and how to move forward.

Here's one for the mums that are struggling to "bounce back" from growing and giving birth to a tiny human.
It's all bullshit!!!
It took me 2 years to loose the "baby weight" that's two years of feeling crap, looking at all the women who "bounce back" and secretly hating them. Two years of not feeling good enough and hiding from the world. Well fuck you society. We do not have to be a certain size or look a certain way to be good enough. And it's hard, really fucking hard! ...
The best reason to get fit is to feel happy, do it for the endorphins and the buzz not for the scale, not for these assholes who think you need to be back in a pair of skinny jeans a week after giving birth. (Sorry if you are one of those assholes)
It felt like I didn't know who I was anymore. I needed to get my fitness back to start feeling like me again. But to do that you have got to take away all the pressure, throw them scales down the garden if you have to. Focus on finding what works for you, it has got to be something you enjoy doing or you simply won't stick to it #sustainability is key! (I'm honestly happy to help in any way that I can to help any of you find what works for you)
So, now you've stopped dreading exercise and being so hard on yourself you can begin to get your head around the food side of things. I actually thought my diet was pretty good until I started tracking food PROPERLY. Haha. The best place to start is to just get your head around tracking your food, see where your at, then we can start to make changes. Just remember you don't need to starve to loose body fat. It's slow, it's steady. It needs to be SUSTAINABLE. You are beautiful, you are worthy and YOU GOT THIS. One step at a time.
