The Field of Dreams! A very special place where lifelong friendships are made and memories to be cherished.
Tarasivka, The Field of Dreams, you don't go by any other name! My little boy said once: "Mama, it smells like Ukraine!" Well, it is Ukraine indeed.
Tarasivka is a place we should all cherish and support. It's been the heart of our diaspora for many years, where life-long friendships and relationships have been created. This is all thanks to the determination of our first generation who wanted to create a small piece of Ukraine; the financial support of the whole community; and the hard work of the volunteers who organise and run summer camps and events. Together, we can develop it further and make it even better, so that it continues to bring people together and promote everything that is great about our Ukrainian heritage.
It's not called the Field of Dreams for nothing.. it may be a little rough around the edges in places but the more we come together to support this place and the events they hold, the more they will be able to make improvements where they are needed. It's not perfect but I'd rather have it how it is now than not have it at all!
It will always be my second home FOD indeed
I've been coming here for 5 years now, and I love this place. It's Olliy's first time at the camp in sumenyata and I think it's great that they have a new building for them to learn and play.
I would not call it "The Land of Dream", but "The Land of Mother Natural", the place we all come from, using it and in the most places don't care about it now and its future. I love this well preserved surrounding nature and have lots of respect to the preserved Ukrainian spirit in this place. It might not look, but it is there.
Now its in our hands to hold it or let it go to the Heaven. Abandon land and using modern technology +chemicals destroy the world.
Fun, music, dancing and friendship
Field of dreams... In all sense of the word.. Just completed third year in Symenyata, my boy loved it. Truly unforgettable and wonderful place to be and grow up.. Many more years to come..
Field of Dreams.....
Nothing more to say
