Here at TDS, we have found that a positive working environment is essential to producing exceptional work. One of our most senior engineers, Andy Stone, not only brings expert knowledge to almost all the areas we deal in, but he also endeavours to create and maintain a fantastic working environment we are proud of. 
 Andy had always wanted to be an engineer and became an apprentice after leaving school. He then completed a degree in engineering, during which he also held a p...art-time job with TDS. Since then, Andy has built up an extensive portfolio of exciting projects, including several of the highly complex helical staircases. Even after 24 years, Andy still enjoys playing his part as a member of our happy and supportive team, and his dedication to our company is a testament to the wonderful people we have brought together.

Delvaux, the world’s oldest luxury leather brand, has recently opened its new flagship store on Sloane Street, London. Covering 2,150 square feet, the store has been carefully crafted to create a sense of opulence which reflects the quality of goods that the brand is renowned for.

A new community space is arriving in the Stratford area of London under the name of The International Quarter London (IQL). This large-scale development will be an inspiring area where people can come to visit, work and live.
Unicef UK, Cancer Research UK and the British Council are just some of the organisations that have relocated their offices to the IQL, which has been designed specifically to offer and encourage a global workspace.

Garrick joined TDS in 2004 and since then has b...een an integral part of our company. In 2008, he was the first employee to transition to Tekla, and is now a keen advocator for the use of Tekla 3D modelling. He finds it’s one of the most useful tools we can use in construction, as the 3D models highlight specific details and potential problems, with 1 Bank Street being proof of this. The use of the software enabled the team to understand and overcome a significant difficulty, allowing the project to be completed in a smooth and efficient manner.
When Garrick is not being challenged at work, his spare time is mainly spent travelling in his VW van looking for the best spots to go mountain biking.

Our first activity for our TDS Charitable Project was incredibly fun, and we have to say, quite messy too! Carol and Kate from our sister company, Cadcoe, along with our apprentice Lora, braved the heat and took part in a muddy 5K obstacle course.
Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is an event that funds research into all 200 types of cancer. Being world leaders in finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and with no government funding, this is a cause very cl...ose to our hearts and one that the team have done a brilliant job raising money for.

Featuring intricate architectural details and a high-end finish, the new commercial development at 1 Bank Street will be another step towards making the Canary Wharf area one of London’s top locations.
Located within the reclaimed South Dock, the development covers 28 storeys and features a triple basement, providing over 60,000m2 of internal floor space. The surrounds will feature landscaped public areas with greenery, including a new public promenade with a retail kiosk.
...Our team was tasked with developing a complete 3D model, GA’s and fabrication drawings for an architectural staircase, complete with hanging support structure and atrium balustrades. We also collaborated with our client by producing the drawings for a sample stair to be made. This allowed both client and fabricator to review all the intricate details and major elements before the design progressed too far, ensuring that everybody involved was pleased with how the project was developing.

Brinell Building, located in Brighton, is a sustainable building which will cover 65,000 sq ft and offer seven storeys of offices available for businesses to rent. The building will also feature roof terraces that face the seafront, providing tenants with envious views across the city.
Established and growing businesses can get creative, as flexible, clear floorplates of varying sizes can be adapted to suit the space for their specific needs.

In two shades of pink stands the R7 building, covering over 155,000 sq. ft on the King’s Cross Estate. With a spacious ground floor measuring 7m in height, panoramic views over the city on the 10th floor and private roof terrace for offices on the upper level, this is one building that stands apart from its neighbours.
Working alongside our sister company, Design4Structures, TDS detailed the staircases and oversaw installation into the flexible office spaces for Google. This ...included a staircase for the main reception area, one leading to a mezzanine, and the main atrium staircase creating access from the first floor all the way up the seventh.
