Hello. My name is Buddy and I thought it would be a great idea to eat some chocolate covered raisins. The vet told me that this was a very bad idea because both chocolate and raisins are toxic to dogs. The vet made me sick before they could be digested. This made me feel a bit miserable but thankfully the nurse was willing to give me lots of cuddles. After that, I had to eat this weird black stuff called charcoal that was meant to help too but I didn’t mind because it was mixed with yummy food. However, I did get black stains all over my buster collar, the kennel and the nurse! I stayed in the hospital with the nurses so I could get something called fluids. Thanks to the vets and nurses I’m feeling much better now. Everyone keeps saying to me that they hope I have learnt my lesson but I’m not sure what they mean?!

Bandit is one of our patients. A lovely fellow who has had more than his fair share of veterinary issues but still loves to see us.

Some interesting statistics. We strongly recommend pet insurance, but also to check what sort of cover you are getting.

This handsome boy Kevin came in to The Animal House this week to be castrated. His owner decided to get him microchipped at the same time. Getting Kevin microchipped has increased the chance of him being reunited with his owner should he ever wonder off a bit too far. Microchipping is compulsory for dogs. If you would like any information about microchipping, just give us a call or check out this website: https://www.cats.org.uk/cat-care/key-cat- care/microchipping

This beautiful friendly girl has no collar and her microchip details are not up to date. She was found in the middle of Rugby town. If you recognise her please contact us so we can reunite her with her owner.

Do you know anyone who would like to sprinkle some reindeer food outside on Christmas Eve? If so, come and make a donation to our wildlife fund and get some wildlife friendly reindeer food. Our reindeer food does not contain glitter which is harmful to our wildlife.

The Rugby Half Marathon is running past the Surgery this morning, so access to St Peters Road is easier from the Clifton Road end. Hopefully. Good luck to the three staff members running in it!
