A lot of people wondering around doing nothing, service was ok, my friend asked one waitress what the main dishes came with & she said sorry I don’t speak English. I couldn’t stop laughing, so you work in a restaurant in the country’s 2nd biggest city & you don’t speak English, fantastic. I wouldn’t rush back put it that way.

This is now Fumo - changes recently.

Real shame. We had cocktails at the bar and the service was very good. Decided to eat. Menu simple and not cheap but that’s ok if it’s value for money and the overall service and experience is good. Sadly not so.

Waiter took order and checked it twice. Explained that dishes came out as they were ready which was fine. Ordered couple of starters, a blue steak, a pizza and two salad sides. Olives and bread arrived promptly. Then a medium steak was presented - explained we ordered blue. Taken away and replaced without fuss to be fair along with second starter. No sign of pizza or salads. Asked waiter and he said he’d check. Never came back. After 25 minutes (during which time the waitress averted her gaze every time she passed us) we asked manager who came and said they’d had a problem with pizza machine and it was on its way.(despite a pizza being taken to another table that ordered after us ....). Told him to cancel my salad side as too late. Eventually pizza plus two side salads arrived. Said to take one back but was advised it was complimentary along with the pizza and other salad. To be fair food was good.

Asked for the bill and had been charged for both salads although they hadn’t charged for the pizza. They also had the cheek to add a 10% service charge !!!!!!!!

Offered us free desserts which we declined but they sent them anyway.

Real shame the overall experience was unemjoyable and frustrating. Plenty of alternatives in Birmingham so need to up their game considerably.

Definitely would not return.

The bar service was good. Lovely barman called Nuno was so attentive and a great laugh. We then decided to eat and the service was aweful! Waiter asked us three times for our orders and he even messed it up! Food came at different times and wasn't even warm. Didn't receive 2 mains and a side. We complained and got a free round of drinks and reduced bill but the overall experience was ruined

Service was awful, a lot of staff wondering around not doing anything. Waited 20 mins to be asked what we wanted to drink and that was only by getting the attention of a waiter walking past us! If you like good service give this place a miss.
