We went on Saturday after a long physically draining week at work,we were both very tired, But the meal was fantastic ..Staff were very hard working as it was a busy evening , we asked for a table that we had previously dined at a few months ago and luckily no one was on it !! The only downside was I was really looking forward to the Mushroom starter but unfortunately they were unable to provide me with so I went with the Buttermilk chicken We both had Fillet steak done just the way we like them , hubby had a side of ribs ....a perfect night out ,great food and well worth the drive out ! We will see you guys again on Sunday 14th as we had such a good time we want to come back , expect a call tomorrow on my dinner hour ,for a certain table !!

It was a big party of adults and children. We were given an L shaped table (which meant the kids could get up and have play). Our waiter was great, using our first names made it feel familiar and comfortable. The food arrived on time, nicely paced between courses a piping hot. Food was lovely and price was reasonable.

Again, have to say the staff were great and made sure we had all that we needed. Thanks

Brilliant place! We always eat here and never have any problems with food or service. The staff are wonderful and the chefs are brilliant. Food always comes cooked to how I want It. Fair prices for great Food! Its best to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment

Been a few times food is great and the waitress who looked after us couldn't of done more if she tried fantastic birthday meal for the family

The evening food and breakfast was well cooked and tasted very nice . Had to wait 10 mins to be seated even though we booked though the Preimer Inn. Apart from that 4.5 stars

My daughter and I called in on Mother's Day afternoon. We had not made a booking so really didn't expect to get a table at all. Although the restaurant area was busy, we had no trouble finding a comfy seat in the bar area. Same menu, only difference was we ordered at the bar. The food was very nice and served quickly. The bar area proved to be more comfortable, far less busy and quicker than the main restaurant. Good food and good service.

As me and my fiancée like to try different places we drove here at random.

The food we had was delicious apart from the steak I upgraded to was not cooked as requested.

However despite this the rest of my meal was fine and the service was second to none. After explaining the steak wasn't cooked the way I asked for it they kindly refunded the upgrade difference....the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout and I would definitely give this another chance.

Went here on a busy Sunday afternoon, without booking. There was over an hour's waiting to get a table, so we decided to order from the Restaurant Menu, and eat in the Bar. Had to wait well over half an hour for the meals to arrive. 2 of our party ordered chips with our meals, and were disappointed with them, the chips were pale and half cooked, not appetising at all. In general the meals are over priced, wouldn't rush back!

Ordered duck pate. Bread was rock hard. Had sirloin steak it was ok a bit grisly. My husband enjoyed the sea bass. Not as good as the plough in Shirley which is a great shame. For £70 which included our drinks you would have expected better

Had the lunch time menu very good value I had fish and chips with a choice of garden or mushy peas there was plenty of it. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We were a party of 8 and all meals arrived together.

Booked table for six on Sunday for 3pm.

People still at table which was ok, went bar to pass the time and chat. 40mins later and we had to ask if table was free, it wasn’t so asked could they put us on an empty table .

They did this.

We ordered food which came 40mins later. Thought about not coming here again but the waitress was fantastic, friendly and made up for the previous bad service. She made it a Better experience. The food was very good.

I am considering whether to try this restaurant again!!

Worst Christmas meal for some time.

Hope it gets better by Boxing day, taking family to dinner! Bland, cold not appetising. Roast turkey with no stuffing, they’d run out!Very poor roast potatoes, the salmon was burnt. Most of the desserts weren’t available, no trifles, crumble etc. Got in before 8pm left about 11:15.

Waiter was helpful and friendly clearly uncomfortable at the poor availability. The one saving grace. Place was very empty, perhaps an indicator.

We past luads of pubs in the area that eas packed, came to this one and hardly a car on the car park. Sat in the bar area by the doors as it was so hot inside. My husband ordered the gammon, egg, tripple cooked chips and peas with onion rings. I ordered butterfly grilled chicken with bacon and cheese with tripple cooked chips side salad and a salad.

Well what can I say the gammon was over cooked, the egg a dirty brown colour the onion rinvs dark and over cooked and as for the chips frozen thick chips. Onto the buttercly chicken, it was cooked ok although at this point I need to point out the grill must of needed cleaning the bacon on top followed by a swuare of cheese slightly melted acvompanied with thin French fries not tripple cooked chips. The side salad was some shredded cabbage a little lettuce an 1/4 slice of cucumber with some bottled dressing and guess what the salad I ordered at £3.99 was exactly the same. The whole meal was a let down. Ended my bank holiday Monday on a sour note. A smothered chicken should always have grated melted cheese and look appealing to the eye. Unfortunatly it had neither. Never tried a Beefeater before and wont be trying it again staff training poor, quality of food poor and consistency of food poor.

Visited today for the first time. 1pm with not many people in there. Disappointed to say the least. Asked for duck pate to start, came out with duck on the bone. Main meal was shocking. Ordered 8oz sirloin steak. All I received was a piece of steak, few chips and a burnt mushroom and tomato. No salad, sauce or side. Asked for BBQ sauce to accompany my food, I was given the smallest pot going. Not once did anyone ask if our meal was ok.

My partner orders the beef duo, beef was as dry as a bone and most of our meal wasn't eaten. When you spend £75 on a meal you expect a lot more than this. Won't be returning.

Visited this lunchtime for parents anniversary meal - food ok service diabolical - waited ages to be seated then sat on a table with filthy seats so had to be moved then waited 25 minutes for drinks we ordered on arrival we were about to get up and walk out when drinks and starters arrived at the same time - won’t be returning!!

It's popped up on my FB to leave feedback. I probably wouldn't have otherwise. The service was hit and miss, some staff really nice others didn't want to be there. Food wasn't worth the price by a long shot. Sorry, just being honest not grumpy. I'd fly the flag if it warranted praise

User

Food was lovely, service not so much. 20 minutes to even take a drink or food order, 10 minutes after that for our drinks to be delivered, 20 minutes after we finished our starter, we asked the server when the main meal would be out... "I'm not 100% sure" was the reply! We had to ASK her to go and check with the kitchen, but she didn't come back with an answer!

If there is a delay, that's fair enough, these things happen, but at least advise your diners of this, especially if they have asked you specifically for a timescale!

First time for us visiting the beefeater , we was a family of 6 , the customer service was awful after waiting 40 mins for food , we wasn’t ever asked if we needed a drink top up , empty plates were left for ages , we did want pudding but the customer service was a joke , the place wasn’t even full , won’t be returning.. food was ok but the service was a huge let down
