Awesome Practising from Archie, who wanted to do his Taikokyus with his eyes shut today. 🥋
Archie is one of our youngest members and has grasped all of his katas despite his young age and is now working towards his green belt. Today he was so focused on landing in the correct direction he didn't quite include his stances and technique but we know he can do this with his eyes open anyway! 👊
Practising with our eyes shut is a training tool we do occasionally to help us to be more aware of our footwork and position so that with our eyes open we can ensure our direction and stance lands in the correct position. Its a lot harder than it looks when you lose one of your senses! Try it next time you practise and see if you can finish in the correct position!! 👍
