Ok, we have always claimed to be the best pub in Michaelchurch Escley, but to be named in the Britain’s Top 30 pubs in an article in The Times is great news.
Had to celebrate with a G&T. Hill Billy of course :-)

Back in Michaelchurch making more Hill Billy Gin after our little tour down to the Herefordshire Country Fair on the banks of the stunning River Wye.
We have just bottled another 150 Hill Billies and are crafting more on a weekly basis here in Michaelchurch Escley.
Sorry to everyone who has tried to buy a bottle when we have not had enough, please email, call, Facebook message or send a pigeon if you want to order a bottle.
... Hope everyone who kindly purchased a bottle of Hill Billy has been enjoying it.

‘BEST SUNDAY LUNCH EVER’ 2 Apr 2018
... Was visiting my niece and asked her to find a nice place for lunch. This is where we ended up. Wow, what a lovely location and what such lovely food. A great choice of mains and puddings and an equally large choice of drinks. I wish there was somewhere near me that served food like this.
- At the Bridge Inn we really do feel like we get the best customers - thanks for such a kind post and well done to all our team. :-)

"Our brand new Bradley Smoker is working it's magic! Tonight we are serving a home smoked venison fillet with truffled mash and roast beetroot, and we will soon be smoking our own salmon, exciting times"

User

A great way to try gin without influence or expectation of name, brand or style. £27 per person. Includes nibbles in the form of small mezzes plates though out the evening. Gin cocktails available to order afterwards.

March 14th = 3.14 = National Pie Day = Proper Pies = Herefordshire Beef & Butty Bach Beer Pie. Our pies are well travelled, we have lovingly made and cooked for the crowds at Hay Festival, weddings and even special birthday parties. They always go down a treat, but we don't think you can beat having one in your local pub. Enjoy National Pie day!!!

What a fabulous break we had in the Yurt. All the way from Birmingham way where daily life is s busy and non stop... to this beautiful place so peaceful and friendly. We were well looked after from the moment we arrived and didn't want to leave. Thank you and we can't wait to come back x

User

We love the Bridge Inn. A really traditional Inn set next to the Escley Brook in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside with an easy loop public footpath walk around it to take in the fresh air and scenery & access points to the brook next to the pub for a brook paddle. The owners & staff are always friendly & welcoming. The food, drink and service are great (large portions too!) We're lucky to be local but for travellers you're lucky to be able to stay on site or nearby. Very family & dog friendly too 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦🐶Highly recommend. 😊👍🏼

We had a lovely night away in a romantic yurt. The teenagers shared one, whereas we had a cozy one to ourselves. The log burners made it very toasty and with no internet and only the sounds of nature, we quickly settled in. The owners made sure everything went smoothly and with a great breakfast the next day, we were ready to tackle some wet hiking. The pub is friendly with great wine! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a night away with a different experience. The setting is beautiful and the pub is much loved by the local residents.

We celebrated an 80th birthday with 22 boisterous friends and relatives. The staff looked after us beautifully, the food was lovely and the room looked great with candles, flowers and little twinkly lights.

User

My first overnight stay at the Farmhouse B&B which was fabulous. Nice spacious rooms with beautiful old furniture in keeping with the style of the farmhouse. Great nights sleep in the very comfy beds with only the birdsong to listen to. Last nights dinner was top class as was this mornings breakfast. Hosts were delightful and couldn’t do enough for us, thank you

User

Lovely old boozer. First and foremost the beer is really well looked after as is the Cider and Perry. In addition they have a gifted young head chef that provided excellent nosh for us.

You couldn't go wrong making a visit to this hostelry.

User

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at this gem of a place. Stunning place to camp and the owner of the pub couldn’t do enough to accommodate us....from cooking a fantastic bbq for us all to dealing with the fussy eaters. Nothing too much trouble. Thanks for a great weekend

User

User

Had a fantastic meal last night for my wife's birthday, the food was top class, my steak was cooked to perfection, best steak I've had in a long time

User

Had a fabulous Sunday Roast here with a pint of the lethal Kingston Black local cider (not for the faint-hearted). Sat outside in the warm spring sunshine by the Escley brook. Friendly, accommodating and not sycophantically attentive staff. Some places overdo the 'is everything all right's line. Bowl of water brought for our dog - big plus. All round, a lovely place to eat.

User
