When an established restaurant with a magnificent reputation announces new owners you might be forgiven for wondering if the quality of the food and service will be affected, you need not worry, this jewel in the crown of Northamptonshire continues to deliver on every level. Service is a master class in how to make your customers feel welcome and special. Congratulations to the new owners.

We were dubious after hearing about the change of ownership but it was as incredible as ever. The staff very attentive and the food was incredible as always. We were truly celebrating and it felt the staff shared our happiness. Thank you to all who worked on Saturday night. We had a wonderful time.

We were amicably greeted by mine host. The food was of a very good quality. Taken from the Sunday menu it was excellently cooked and served by attentive restaurant staff.

Visited on a Thursday evening for a special pre wedding meal with my family. The food was excellent, the steak Diane is cooked at your table week nights and is spectacular, made my Mum feel very special. This restaurant is as old as me - 1973! And it is consistently high standard and quality. You pay for what you get and we were extremely happy. Well done Nuno, Alison and particularly the rest of the team who deliver every day.

The pub dates back to 1385. Great food and service.

The most special restaurant that could ever exist. Any one who has visited would be sure to return. Beautiful food, stunning surroundings and the kindest and most welcoming of staff. Many of the people working here have been doing so since I was a little baby - which just shows how outstanding this place is (no one wants to leave). All should visit if only to see the fantastic Terri (aka the cream lady) xxxx

My second visit in 3 months, first visit was a Saturday evening and then Sunday lunch yesterday. Both visits were perfect in every way. The atmosphere is the first thing you notice as you walk in, you are made to feel welcome as soon as you step through the door. It’s like the family are inviting you into their home to eat! The food is outstanding, the service second to none and I for one can’t wait to go back again!

Just had a lovely Good Friday lunch at The Butchers Arms. We used to come here years ago for special family birthdays & anniversaries. I'm so glad the new owners have maintained the lovely welcome & atmosphere & of course the excellent service which makes the Butchers Arms so special. We hope to return soon.

I was there to celebrate an 80th birthday. There were 16 of us and we were seated at a large round table. The lunch menu caused several of us problems, as there was so much to choose from. The food, when it came was plentiful, hot and delicious and the waiting staff were helpful and attentive. Altogether a lovely place for a celebratory meal, or just for a special treat.

First class always has been always will be. Anyone who gives this place a bad review must have gone to a different "Butchers Arms" thanks.again for another lovely time!!
