We had a fantastic time on Sunday! The food was absolutely delicious. I was spoilt for choice, being GF/Veg I hardly eat out however the Head Chef made sure I was catered for with an exceptional plate of great flavour and taste. All my guests (x 12) food was also outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you!

This place holds a special place in our lives as we had our first date there 4 years ago before it was known as The Butchers Social, it was made even more special when we found out they served our favourite dish- Franks Hot Wings- we have never found anywhere that does them as good as the Americans.... until now... so every first date anniversary we now book in and have our favourite food (we also go during the year for a wing fix!) The rest of the menu is delicious too, the steaks are awesome, only criticism we have is that ordering drinks in the restaurant can be a bit slow... other than that this place is wonderful and well worth a visit!

The food and staff here are exceptional. I have nearly tried everything on the menu and I have NEVER had a bad meal EVER!!

It’s a real gem, great ales/lagers & exciting menu be that in the bar or a la carte restaurant. Emma & Vikoria in the restaurant looked after me especially well as I was away on a work trip & on my own. Defiantly rate this place, good food, good value, great people ��

Have been here a few times and the food is always fantastic...Also, love the bar area at the front & the garden to the rear.... The seating arrangement is great, if you’re a small or large group.

Had a wonderful dinning experience on Tuesday evening March 20th 2018. For my partners birthday. The cuisine was awesome great starter and main course. The only downside was a very limited dessert choice. Only one option available. But then we had dropped off a surprise birthday cake earlier and the staff were very accomodating allowing us to complete the surprise.

The Butchers has recently been refurbished. It is really cosy and lovely atmosphere. Aided by front of house Cerie. She is fab so lovely and on hand to explain menu ingredients. Best gastropub in the area by far. A great evening��

Had a superb steak yesterday as a late Valentines meal. Couldn’t believe such a good piece of meat with a sauce and side dish together with a glass of wine was only £40 for us both. Lovely! 😃

Food was the best Iv tasted in a long time. Service was excellent and the wine and coffee was also good. Worth the traveling to get there.

Food was amazing, staff friendly enough. Nice and cosy little place to sit and eat.

Fabulous food, great atmosphere and loving the new refurbishment.. Definitely recommend this place 👍🏽

Came with friends for the Sunday special and the Wings were so tasty that I even ordered extra for home. Had the Chicken Roast and have to Say was extremely impressed with the food and the new garden was perfect for a sunny say...thoroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely loved the "Gintleman" gin and tapas night here! Amazing food,fantastic Gin combinations and brilliant atmosphere! Will be back soon!

Really enjoyed Sunday Lunch. Took my Dad for Father's day. So was extra busy - a bit noisy for us but obviously going to be a busy day. However this didn't fault the service or quality of food. Just a shame there was no cauliflower cheese left. Beef was beautiful but I actually really loved the veg! Would recommend and will return.

I have just been in for a drink with my friend, as soon as you walk in, it's a very warm and cosy environment. Spoke to the Chef/owner who seemed very lovely, didn't have time to stay for food but the menu made me want to go back to eat. You can see the kitchen from the bar, all very clean. Saw some food being served to a table, loved their plating. Can't wait to come and eat here. Gold star for décor 👌👌

We went there for the 1st time on Sunday 17th Dec to celebrate my daughters BDay, there were 6 of us dining. Very friendly greeting and very cosy surroundings, it was very busy and half our party were 15 mins late☹️It was extremely slow drinks service and had to ask for water 3 times before it was finally brought to the table, when the 2nd half of our party finally arrived they had to go and find the waiter to get drinks served. The staff told us they were sorry but everyone in the main restaurant had arrived together and they were struggling to cope, that was used both times when trying to get drinks. However we persevered and we were served our starters in good time and the food was excellent however two of our party who ordered the liver starter had to stop a waiter and ask where their marmite broth was which was supposed to be with it, it eventually arrived when everyone had finished their starters. The mains came out and where all ok and the same with the desserts and coffees. So overall the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great but our experience was tainted by poor service, however the staff apologised un-prompted and gave us a free round of drinks in way of an apology and the Manager/Owner apologised to one of our party on the way out for the poor service. So we probably wouldn't be put off from going again as the food is excellent when you finally get it, so if the staff can brush up on their service when the restaurant is busy then I am sure you would have a much better experience.
