We go to the Cambridge often. The food is lovely and it’s a really nice atmosphere. Have been coming since it opened and still love it!!

I was in the cambridge at christmas a couple of times once with my mom 2nd was a family meal i used to live in longbridge but moved away 12 years ago but i came back to visit family last christmas 2017 and 1st time came into cambridge the layout of the place was nice , food was great and filling , the pudding was to die for , prices was reasonable , and staff was ever so nice both evenings were great id come back again . P.s i know there was a bloke checking my ass out mom told me .

I was actually worried about having our christmas meal here, after I had booked a few people had told me that it had gone down hill, So i just wanted to put them right all 3 courses were amazing, My family of 5 all enjoyed it even my fussy 5 year old,the staff were brilliant too made sure we had everything we needed and nothing seemed to much trouble for them, Thank you for a great christmas dinner! Well done to all the staff.

Great staff and lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend for food and drinks, never let you down!

Go quite often. Very accommodating and always pleasant. Any problems they have been happy to help, an extra plus for Dale behind the bar who is always lovely

I came in with one my Sister's Wednesday night (7/3/18) for Dinner, sadly since my Stroke I can't swallow, the queue to order was quite long & weirdly the Salt Sellars were missing from several tables in 18+ area, but my Sister enjoyed her meal!!

Good pub to go and relax after shopping friendly staff and always helpful top drawer

I'm giving 5* to the waitress Izzy. We come here every family occasion, we have a big family with lots of little children. Izzy always goes to the extent of playing with the children, giving them balloons, toys & sweets. A very lovely lady who always makes us feel welcome. She's very helpful and all the children love her company! The main reason we go back time & time again is because of how amazing this waitress is with the children & every thing else. Her job doesn't include caring and considering the children but she does from her heart. Myself along with many others think izzy is the making of this pub!

I think it's bad that they bring dessert out while still eating mains. Can be a bit hit and miss at times but mostly good.

Last 4 visits. Dirty tables sticky menus and the floor is dirty with food all over it



Tables again have not been cleared around us and an hour after getting there the same tables and empty glasses still on tables as when we went in.



Tables and menus are sticky and dirty.



Food was nice from the new menu. Chips are amazing. But my cod the batter was raw and dropped out when I took a bite raw batter mix dripped out. No check from staff till we were leaving and when I told the manager not apology or concern. Just took the plates and never came back

It's a five-minute walk from our house so great from that point of view. A really good varied menu selection for adults and for kids and at fantastic prices. However, whilst I appreciate that there is a new system in place for table service this week, I must say the service this lunchtime was dreadful. We were warned of a 20 minute wait which is fine, it was a Saturday lunchtime it's to be expected in busy period. Taking the orders was slow which again I appreciate, it's a new tablet system the staff are only in their 6th day of using.



However, when 20 minutes turned into 1 hour 10, our kids (and we) were starting to get a little fed up. I'd gone in search of the usual crayons and colouring sheets to keep them occupied to find the table empty. I asked at the bar and was curtly told that what was out was all there was. Though someone on the next table managed to get some when they asked. Obviously they asked someone who could be bothered to go and fetch some.



Puddings took 40 minutes to arrive and adult ones came first so kids were left waiting. We found a piece of plastic in the child's frozen yogurt which we did report and received a refund on that, but it was fortunate the 3 year old found it and took it out of her bowl before she hurt herself on it.



As for the toilets in that place, there's always toilets with no paper every time I've been here. Today, in addition there was one empty soap dispenser, one missing dispenser and one smashed dispenser which had a dreg of soap in. People are eating here, it's basic hygiene you need to wash you hands!



When our puddings came, we immediately asked for the bill due to slowness on other requests but we had to ask 3 more times and it's only when we got up and put on our coats and walked to the desk that's being used now for printing recipes that we were finally able to pay.



Sort our your toilets and your waiting times. And please remember your target audience is families. Always bring out the kids plates first (and not scolding hot), always have good supplies of colouring - kids remember what's on offer and expect it every time. And sort out your unkempt toilets!

Had lunch food was fair not warm enough nice atmosphere but waitress was quiet rude when she got one of our meals wrong! We ordered a normal plate she came with a big plate menu took it back scraped the extra meat off and gave it me back ? I’m sure she thought it was our fault as she stormed off mutating to other waitress price was fair though

suppose you get what u pay for at the end of the day - sunday roast was vile mash potato was like rubber roast potatoes undercooked frozen veg nasty the staff did offer us another meal but why get more crap after being served crap to start with ??? lesson learnt wont eat there again !!

complained about the starter being frozen still in the middle for my pregnant wife. so when our mains come out, my wifes chicken was frozen inside again. not even an offer of a refund or an apology, just "ill get another one for you"



also had the fish platter which looked nice, only for the batter to be not cooked inside on the cod bites, member of staff telling me its "just sauce" what form inside the battered cod !!!!! will be a long time till I go back this is even worse than the billesley and that's another appalling site. go to the Baldwin or travel further if you want a hungry horse.



Both pubs have appalling services and managers/staff that are rude

Services was dreadful ordered food at 430pm share platter 4 mains and desserts took over three hours to come!!! I had to ask for the dessert to come! The managers excuse was we are under staff I don’t need to know that as a customer need to sort the staffing levels out between the management not with the customers. All I got offered was complimentary drink not good enough!

Me and my son went to the bar to order our food n drinks we were greated by bar man Robbie a mixed race man who was very rude to us his attitude was awful and arrogant when asking us what we wanted to order we were both stunned by his awful manners. Plus when I got my food my grilled tomato was cold, the onion rings had no onion in them and the chicken tasted like it had been boiled. I did not enjoy my food at all. Then we went outside to sit in the sunshine to finish our drinks in the smoking area and there was a man sitting there with his head phones on and spitting flem on the floor it was disgusting we had to move before I was sick. So no not a nice place to eat or sit outside.

It was busy and that is not the staffs fault so I can forgive the wait ,,, but when the food we ordered arrived with no corn on the cob or beans with it , items that were on the meal on the menu. we were told by waitress this was because they had none left and I should of been told this at the bar (but I wasn’t ). ok that’s fine too because I am the forgiving type ,,, but then when the next two meals to come out to other tables have both corn on the cob and beans on them .... someone either went to the shop (5pm in a Sunday) or we we’re lied to and I don’t like liars !!!!

Then arrived the pudding again with 1/2 of the ingredients missing �

If you are happy to only receiving 1/2 or your food then this it’s the place for you , well not for me thanks but no thanks !!!
